      Billed for gas never used. **************** is a joke. Canceled service, paid fraudulent charges, closed acct. They keep sending emails about setting up an acct. Worst customer service ever!

      This company is criminal. They repeatedly raise prices in drastic increments while their high up employees make record profits, salaries and bonuses. Every time they request a rate increase, the public feedback is OVERWHELMINGLY negative, yet they forge on, completely disregarding the well-being of their customers. If the customer had ANY CHOICE or any other option in their gas provider, youd best believe that the majority would immediately leave Spire if given the chance. But we are all forced to use Spire as we are not given another option. What they are doing is morally corrupt.

      Put in a end of service request and was billed 5 additional days after my last day in the home. was told by several different people that the bill was correct and they refused to help me further. I had a reference number for the end of service but customer service refused to even take note of it until I insisted on talking to a manager. I was even hung up on once. Website is constantly down which is why I had to call in for the end of service request but when I called to get the bill looked at they state they have no record I called in, despite me having a confirmation number for end of bill.

      Spire is nothing but a racket. Horrible customer service, nobody can give a direct answer, they raise rates and say its because of usage. Well of course the use goes up more in the Hot summer/cold winter. This is one of the worst utility companies to use.

      Waited 15 days for an appointment. Was told I would get a call 15 mins before my appointment. I was not at the home because I had to work but would able to arrive in time for the appointment because of the short commute. The only call I received was that I missed my appointment. I called to figure out what was going on with the appointment and was told my appointment was canceled. Now I have to wait all day until a technician comes in a cold house. It's unreasonable to expect someone to wait from 8am-9pm for an "appointment". No one is held accountable or responsible. They should be able to provide a smaller schedule for window, like an hour or effectively communicate their arrival.

      I was given a 7:30 AM to 8 PM appointment. Took off work. Tech showed up a little after 7 PM.

      When you connect your heat in ********, ** they give you a window of time between 7:30 a.m. and 7:00 at night. They expect somebody to sit in their house or apartment for 12 hours waiting for them to turn the heat on. How ethical is that that you have to sit and wait in below freezing temperatures in your apartment for 12 hours waiting for them to turn a little dial. Whenever you call and try to get an estimated time during the day, they say they can't answer that. Absolutely horrible customer service, and no thoughtfulness for their customers. They need to have a better organized approach on what time of day they're going to be in your area. This is not too much to ask since people have jobs and the like.

      Spire makes TO MUCH MONEY TO DISCONNECT IN THE WINTER. It’s a racket but needed. They don’t care that people are in hard times. *******!!!!

      Terrible customer service. An hour and 15 minutes to take over service at a new residence. Had to spell the street (*********) and give my phone number 3 times, even though I asked the *** to write it down. Had to also explain to the rep that I was taking over an existing account and the meter was on the outside of the residence, so I didnt need to be there for the switchover. Truly dealing with idiots not educated about their own company ! Really wish I was **************** !

      Avoid this company like the plague, god forbid someone on your street uses their services, look forward to weeks of construction. They blocked my ********************* heavy machinery right outside my house (hearing impared and migraine prone) and covered my car with dust and almost trapped me in cutting huge holes infront of and behind my car and then standing infront of my car when I tried to leave in the morning! This can't be legal, but I don't have the money to fight back!
