I have been trying to call this company since December. I leave a message and no one returns my call. I paid them to get us out of a timeshare; I paid them in August of 2019; $3827.82. This was written on personal checks. They were supposed to get us out of the time share, with a money back guarantee, in 18 months, or they would refund our money completely. When I last was able to speak with someone, they gave me the excuse that the courts were backed up due to COVID. I got a letter from a law firm saying that if we pay another $4800 that they can settle the case.

    Business Response

    Date: 02/14/2023

As Mr ***** attests in his complaint we got him a settlement offer which will allow him to exit his timeshare and end his obligations to it forever. As part of that settlement we agreed to a "No Contact Order" which prevents us from speaking to him. That was in September which explains why he hasn't been able to reach us since December. But as he says we got him an out and that fulfills our obligation to him.

I am rejecting this response because:****** ***** told use he could get us out of property and get back some money , but after we paid his price now they want another 4800.00. That was not the deal and I’ve got a 18 month warranty or 100% of our money back that started in November 2019.  I have a letter saying that I can call if I have questions but I get no answer from them or the law firm. So I feel like we’ve been took.

We have fulfilled our obligations to this client.

I am rejecting this response because:

Mr ****** did tell us that they would recover a percentage of our money and we not owe anything else. In our contact dated 10/16/2019 we have a 100% money back guarantee if not completed in 18 months signed by Mr ******. We got this settlement letter from Montgomery and Newcomb dated 12/21/2022 saying we owe 4800.00 so we need our money back from resort consulting.

We hired on December 4, 2020, signed papers and wrote a check in the amount of $6438.70 to Resort Consulting Group LLC. Representative ****** ******. We hired them to help us get out of our Time Share from ********* ***********. We did not owe a mortgage on this time share, it had been paid in full. We simply were unable to use it because of false claims and lies sold and told to us through representatives of *********. We spent a lot of money on yearly maintenance fees, attended owner meetings where we were taught supposed tricks, allowing us to be able to book destinations. However that was never the case. Since we first bought into the timeshare in 2017, we were only able to book and go on trips a handful of times. Not the multiple times a year to destinations we loved. Thats 6 years of paying for a product we were unable to use. We, like the other complaints I've read were promised in the verbage of the contract " Guaranteed that our timeshare and timeshare mortgage contract will be cancelled upon the completion of litigation, or the client will receive 100% of all funds paid to Resort Consulting Group back." Verbatim. We were told by another owner of the same timeshare company that a settlement had been reached but we have never received any correspondence through phone, email or regular postal mail, to verify. We have called numerous times to verify that Resort Consulting Group had our correct mailing information and phone numbers and still have not received any correspondence. My question to others reading this, that have also filed complaints against Resort Consulting Group, LLC, did you ever see any physical terms of a settlement? If it actually exists, it would be wonderful to know what those terms might be. We have called Resort Consulting Group and the attorney group ********** * ******* **** who supposedly are handling the litigation and settlement terms, repeatedly without any response, to the messages we have left. We could really use some help.

    Business Response

    Date: 02/07/2023

The settlement between Resort Consulting Group and ********* ********* resulted in a court order barring Resort Consulting Group from speaking to or assisting that coupled with the resignation (for medical reasons) of the employee mentioned has made communication with this client impossible. A settlement has indeed been reached and their attorney *********** *** *******) will provide them with those details. They should reach out to them. We have fulfilled our obligation to them. They need only be patient their attorney will get to them.

Told me they could get over half my money that I had paid timeshares back. It would only take 18 months. Also, to stop paying my mortgage and maintenance fees. It would not effect my case. We paid them $14,000. Just got our settlement letter. ********* is asking us for a 100,000.00 to settle. They said it wouldn’t hurt our credit. They had a company that would take care of that. It’s all been lies. I want my 14,000.00 back plus compensation for their lies. We consulted them in 2018 or 2019 and we just got a settlement letter. They won’t return calls or emails.

We signed a contract with Resort Consulting Group, LLC, and ****** ****** to get out of a timeshare contract with *********. Mr. ****** assured us that it would be resolved quickly and that we would recuperate some,if not all of the money that we had paid to *********. When we signed the contract we were asked to pay Resort Consulting Group $7,711.32 in fees with a 100% money back guaratee if our was not cancelled within 18months. We signed the contract and sent the payment in August 2019. It has been over 3 years since we signed that agreement. I have reached out several times for information and was just recently told that they could not speak to me because of a federal order sent by ********* attorneys to them. I have also been told that because a settlement offer was made on October 31, 2022 (asking me to pay an additional $8903.30 to *********), that my 18 month or less money back guarantee no longer applies. NO settlement was made within the 18 month time period and we are being asked to pay more.
Resort Consulting Group, LLC has swindled us just as much as *********.

I am rejecting this response because:  The settlement offer that was sent to us was sent 3 years after the date the contract was signed, and the offer was not accepted.  Resort Consulting Group, LLC guaranteed that a settlement would be reached within 18 months of the signed contract.  We signed the contract on in August 2019.  That has been over three years!  I have reached out many times to Resort Consulting Group, and Mr. ******, and have received very little feeback from him or Resort Consulting Group.  That guarantee was not fulfulled and we are still in deliberation with *********.  NO settlement has not been reached.    I would just like for you to live up to the guarantee that you made when we signed a contract with you.  You DID NOT fulfill you part of the agreement.  Please show some integrity and stand by your guarantee.

I have received multiple phone calls from this company daily for the past two weeks. Each time I tell the person calling that my number is on the federal do not call list, I never owned a time share, and to take me off their call list. I still get calls. On of the reps replied “so” when told my number was in the do not call list. So indeed. It makes no difference to these people. I have left a message at the headquarters stating I want the calls to stop with my phone number. Instead of stopping the calls, someone named ****** from this company called me from ************. Please note that the resolution requested is for the company to stop calling me. Not to call me asking questions or to tell me what they blame for these annoying calls. I have received calls from the following numbers ************,************* ************************** ************* ***********, and ************. Each time I ask they to stop call8ng. Each day they continue to call.

This company calls me numerous times daily from different 913 area code numbers. We paid Resort Consulting Group, LLC T***** ************* *******(Owner) $6731.02 dollars to involve our case into a lawsuit against ********* resorts, There had been a lawsuit filled and it was decided they had possibly lied in their sales against numerous people and we believed we had been one of them. We have been in constant communication with ****** ****** since we signed papers which was on 03/23/2001. Just in the last couple months he has been harder to reach with very short conversations. He did inform us ********* had settled but was contradictory on some of his information as to what would happen moving forward. Now he has resigned according to a voicemail recording, we can't get ahold of ****** *******. Only voicemail. We are trying to find out information through the Law firm they were supposedly was using, ********** * ******* **** no information yet. ****** told us to stop paying our fees and payments to ********* assuring us they had everything under control but we are still receiving certified letters from collections for this. Note: We had paid off the loan balances but the other fees continue each year. I have sent these letters to them numerous times again with his assurance that they were taking care of them. So now we have paid the loans off to the properties but do not have access to that property as the fees are delinquent and they have us shut out. I hope you can help. At this point I would like to add something to the desired resolution. Resort Consulting Group should also pay my delinquent fees as well, if they have made false promises.

The contract between Resort Consulting Group and client states that we will sever their responsibility to their timeshare which we have done.  The settlement of the lawsuit between us and the timeshare company resulted in an injunction barring us from further communication with their customers including this client. but our obligation to this client has been met.

    Business Response

    Date: 10/25/2022

The contract that this client signed with us says in the last paragraph of section 1, this is on page two last sentence of the first paragraph. "Resort Consulting Group cannot and does not guarantee the recoupment of funds from the resort."

They no longer own the timeshare therefore we met our obligations under the contract.

I am rejecting this response because:
From what I can tell, you have done the same thing that ********* as done.  The fact is that we had them paid off and this was discussed. We were lead to believe that we would be refunded the amount that we spent to pay the loans off which was noted.  You are no better than they in this situation as we give you almost $7,000 expecting that we would be reimbursed for those monies. Again you have sent us no information concerning anything from this outcome, which is completely negligent.  Why are you not able to provide any proof that you did anything for us in this situation? During this entire process I have been talking to ****** every month, each time he has assured me that everything was going fine, knowing that we were expecting to be paid back for the loans. You are responsible for the misrepresentation we have received during this process, Just like ********* was held responsible for what they were doing, you will be held responsible. I know you worked for them and it is very suspicious that now you are engaging in the same kind of tactics.

    Sincerely,
