  My deck was built in June of 2023 and I had a lot of similar issues to the orher one star review. The workers hardly showed up and when they did they maybe worked a few hours a day. A deck I was told would take 2 days to build took 2 weeks. In August 2023 I found out by another company that was finishing my siding that the deck was built to high for my threshold on the doors and that they didn't flash the deck. We called them August 4th to correct the issues. It turns out they did not obtain a permit from the ************ to build my deck so we had to have a city inspector come out and there was actually a lot of things that needed corrected. Like the fact they didn't do correct footers. The city also required them to get an engineer report done because we had a hot tub placed on the deck. Our deck was not finished with repairs until January of ****. And they destroyed the boards when they came to repair it and left it looking like trash. I could write a book of the things that happened. ****** the owner has a lack of communication and will flat out ignore you for weeks at a time. And make poor excuses. I Almost want to take him to civil court

  This was the 2nd deck that we have built for this Customer. They liked our work the first time so they called us back again. We take full responsibility for the manner in which the project was conducted! We strive to make every Customer Happy! We got behind schedule and seemed like we could never get caught up. After the inspection, we did correct any and all issues. Also the boards the Customer was refering to that we trashed was bc we had to take them up to get the flashing installed properly. We came back and installed all new boards of the ones that got damaged from backing the screws out to take them up. We wish this project would have went better and will continue to strive to do the best we can. We are extremely under staffed and are working every day to fix any and all issues.

  Outdoor Creations and Design contracted with us on June 9, 2023 to replace our 12x14 deck with stairs down to a 16 x 12 deck. At that time we were told the deck build would begin in about 8 weeks. During those 8 weeks I had no communication with Outdoor Creations so during the 8th week I contacted the owner, *************************, to get an ETA of when the work would be done. He said they were behind and it would be a couple of weeks. ****** continued to happen and again, I was the one who had to make contact to find out what was going on. The work was finally completed on September 12, 2023. It took a couple of weeks for the decks to be built due to the workers only showing up for a couple of hours each day, if they showed at all. ****** came out the first day the workers began to place the footings for the deck (the old deck had already been torn down) to go over the plans with the workers. As the work was done, we became concerned about the quality of work and expected ****** to be by on a regular basis to inspect the work. He did not come until the decks were done and we asked him to come and inspect and talk about what was going to be done about the issues. All he could give was excuses and he kept saying that's how it's supposed to look.We are unhappy that the upper deck is not square, it is off by 1.5 inches and it is so obvious when looking at it. There are rough edges where sanding should have occurred, many boards have bowed and come unscrewed. There are knots and cracks everywhere. ****** had his crew come and put putty in some of the knots and cracks, so now it looks like they did just that. it does not blend in. Many seams do not line up, are not square or do not even touch. I would never recommend this company to anyone. I wish i had done more research before hiring them. Buyer beware.

  We are currently working with the Customer to correct any and all issues. I personly drove out the the job site to personaly apologize for how the project went. The guys that built the deck are no longer doing any work for Outdoor Creations and Design. We have been behind schedule and are working extra hard to get everything caught up! As an Owner I take full responsibility for any lack of communication! I will work harder to make sure this experience does not ever happen to another Customer again. We will make this situation right in the end. Once again we apologize that the Customer had this experience! We build close to 100 jobs per year and strive to be the best we can be!

  From being self-employed myself I understand the struggles of trying to keep on schedule with weather materials and everything else and I believe that this company is doing a very good job at staying on track it just might not be in the timeline

  ****** was very understanding and patient about helping me build what I was wanted on my house! Would highly recommend! His crew was great and I thank him for helping my vision come to life!

  ****** and his crew are the best around. They stay in communication with you, they let you know all things that are going on with the your (our) project. They are very knowledgeable in what they do! Hands down would have them back out to build another deck and pergola for me. Maybe next time it will be a screened in deck!

  He probably is a good deck builder but I had him scheduled all late summer and or early fall. Kept putting me off. His excuses were lame. So finally he promised the first week in Oct. Nope! I was having a deck built for my crippled dog. While waiting on him she died. Ill never forget that. Not to be trusted.

  First off, We want to express how sorry we are you lost a pet. We have lost several pets ourselves and feel your pain. When I came to your house to give you an estimate, I explained that we where about 8 months out on scheduling jobs, but I had a heart for your dying dog and said " I would try to get a crew over on a weekend to help the situation." Then your husband changed the job all around and made it a bigger job that we woud not have be able to complete on a weekend. Never promised you in October. If we sell a job, we take a 50% deposit. This customer never paid a deposit or had a date scheduled. To blame us for the dog dying is not fair because the dog was already sick before we had spoke. The customer was never even given a final esitmate on the changes that her husband had made. Once again we are extremley sorry your loss.

My husband asked for a 14 inch depth stair all you said was that can be worked out. I would have never gone and waited w you for & months all summer. I could have found someone else. So you wasted all that time w me just waiting on you. And I called at least 3 times.
