1 starThis company by far is one of the worst to borrow from. If you borrow $1k you will pay back almost $2k they add more on the interest rate which is crazy. They will approve you but will also mess over you at the Sametime. I use to enjoy doing business with them not anymore. They need to really be shut down or go out of business. The management has no respect stay away this company is thr devil.Review fromMary B

I used to like that I was able to do business with this company but the last few months I have been very disgusted. I make a payment and not even two weeks later I have my references that my husband and I listed calling us saying that they are getting called asking for us. I mean come on I think that's a bit ridiculous. We will not be doing business with this company in the future.Tower Loan

Thank you for the information provided. Tower Loan (“Tower”) has been made aware by the Better Business Bureau (“BBB”) that the BBB cannot effectively protect information received by the BBB regarding information provided to the BBB concerning customer accounts nor will the BBB notify Tower of third party efforts to obtain such information. As this severely impacts Tower’s ability to protect customer information (as required by law) or defend itself from spurious complaints and attempts at mischaracterization by third parties Tower has no option but to no longer respond to complaints or reviews received from BBB.
It should be noted that in general when Tower is made aware of potential customer dissatisfaction it will investigate the matter and take curative action directly with a customer.
Tower operates over 240 offices in six states. Without providing excellent customer service this would be impossible. While Tower understands human error and misunderstandings sometimes occur, Tower welcomes, and is available for, discussions on all matters with its customers until an issue is resolved.Review fromB. Please, don't do business with this company. If you value your money, credit score, and time get a loan offer through CreditKarma.com online or another reputable company. The people (especially the manager at Brown Springs branch in Montgomery, AL) running the Tower Loan locations are rude, unprofessional, uncaring, liars, power hungry, deceitful, and opportunistic. It's a never ending saga with Tower Loans even after my loan was paid in full in less than 90 days. The manager at the Brown Springs location in Montgomery, AL reported to the credit report that I borrowed $8,000 but I only borrowed $2,503. He, also, wanted me to put my car; which is paid in full, up for collateral and I've never had to do that before. Because of the above reasons and more, I decided to take my business elsewhere... specifically CreditKarma, Best Egg, SoFi, and LendingClub. It, then, turned ugly at Tower Loans. The manager at the Brown Springs location in Montgomery, AL and other employees didn't want to take my final payment of about $2,100. I had to call about 4 times and they charged me maybe $200 more than I owed. The manager at the Brown Springs location in Montgomery, AL is playing games and won't update my credit report account to reflect paid on time x 3 months, and paid in full. I filed a dispute with the credit bureaus and Tower Loans still haven't updated my credit report... it still states that I owe Tower Loans about $2,100, it doesn't show months paid on time, and the account is still open and active. Even though the Tower Loans manager was trying to negatively effect my credit report, I was still approved for a new credit card through JCPenney, a loan for more than 2 times, and a loan for 7 times what Tower Loans tried to offer me and I didn't have to put my car up for collateral and the interest rate is less than half of what the manager at Tower Loans at the Brown Springs location in Montgomery, AL wanted to charge me.Tower Loan

I have reviewed the records of Tower Loan of Montgomery ("Tower") and do not find where any issue regarding credit reporting or payoff amount was ever addressed to the local branch. I have reviewed the information supplied to the Credit Reporting Agencies and find that Tower reported a Credit Limit of $2,503 and a Balance of $2,059 as of November 30, 2022. The account was paid in full on December 12, 2022 and will be reflected when Tower updates December activity around January 10, 2023. There is absolutely no support for or reason why Tower would intentionally attempt to negatively impact a customers credit.B. M.

There is a reason that Tower Loan has a D- score with the Better Business Bureau and isn't accredited at the Better Business Bureau. There is, also, a reason why the Tower Loan at Browns Springs Rd, Montgomery, AL has a 2.6 score locally. I know what happen and what I experienced. Your response should be more objective than subjective; you weren't there. Tower Loans main website may say that you have a 4.7 score; but that hasn't been my experience and apparently many others. All the reviewers can't be lying. Maybe someone from corporate should visit to find out why or is it the culture at Tower Loan to try to take advantage of people when you think they are vulnerable, have fallen upon hard times, and during the holiday season? Of course, you would say that it's not documented that I inquired about the pay-off and my credit report... you work for Tower Loans, and really that's another negative reflection on your company. Documentation is important to good customer service. Numerous times over the short period I had an account with Tower Loans, your employees tried to push another loan upon me and wondered why I declined. As it neared Christmas, I told them I'll look into it and applied online. If they had told me up front that I had to put my car up as collateral, I would have declined without a hit to my credit report. I told the employees, and I overheard them tell the manager several times that I have never had to use my car as collateral. While a 1 or 2 days passed, I asked to speak with the manager, but he would never come to the phone. He continued to have employees relay messages to me and insisted that I put my car up for collateral and they even stated that they would get the title from the DMV for me. I took my business elsewhere. As I applied at another company, the representative stated that my credit report shows that I had just opening an account with Tower Loan in the amount of $8,000. I called the Browns Springs location and told them what happened and asked how long it will take to remove it. As usual, the employees relayed a message from the manager whom you can hear responding, in which sometimes you can hear him rudely exclaiming his response, in the background. I had to call 2 or 2 times to get that fixed. As far as my credit report is concerned, my Tower Loan account, lacks information and isn't accurate. I would like the BBB to assist me with the following resolution. My account opening date should reflect September 19, 2022. October 2022, November 2022, and December 2022 payments paid on time. Paid in full on December 12, 2022. The account due date was the 19th of each month; therefore, it should have been reported paid in full to the credit bureau within 7 days after the due date on December 26, 2022. Refund the extra interest I was charged for the days I called to pay off my account, but no one would take my payment.Review fromDirk R

1 starI will never take a loan from this company again! I’ve never experienced a more aggressive company in my life. If you’re even a bit late they will call multiple times in a day, try and contact other family members, and even show up at your house.Review fromAndrea H

1 starThey are very unprofessional harassing other people that don’t even have a loan with them. They just showed up at my door harassing me about someone they think I know. I don’t owe y’all a thing so why would you come to someone’s home just because you think I know the person that is so unprofessional and could possibly get your employees hurt.Review fromRuby I

I give them no stars, the batesville, ms store. I made my payment each month maybe three or four days late but never the fifteen day Grace period. As of now I am a payment behind, but I have all my receipts. The late payment I made was a written receipt but it doesn't count has a payment because the manager wrote the receipt out wrong, but for some reason that's my fault. I advice everyone to not deal with company. They stealing from the company and blaming it on the customers. Keep your receipts and don't let them write you one out. They all working together because everyone I talked to, said the same thing. Will not fool me again.Tower Loan

Terrible company I went to the Joplin Missouri location and I got a signature loan I agreed to a loan at 36% then when the paperwork came it 52% which was significantly higher then the agreed amount but I needed the money for an emergency so I agreed to it. today I go in to pay my first payment and pay more then the payment was so I can pay it off early then after I got the receipt I noticed my balance wasn't on it so I asked the women behind the computer ****** if I could get my remaining balance and when she told me I owed twice what I had borrowed which is literally 100% interest I said that's not right. The women then started having attitude with me saying I don't know what to tell you that's what it says you owe. I said I need this to be fixed and she then started yelling at me from behind the computer I told her that it wasn't ok to yell at me and that I wasn't raising my voice and I would not be yelled at. A young man who had approached during her yelling then took over and took me to a desk where he showed me my original paperwork and said I signed the paperwork so that's what I owe. I get that I signed paperwork that didn't have accurate math on it but the math is still inaccurate so I asked for a number for home office so I could get the insurance I didn't want and told the loan officer originally that I didn't want removed and get the payoff amount fixed to reflect our original agreement and I was informed there was no number for home office. I am extremely upset about this whole experience especially the verbal assault from ****** I don't intend on paying another dime on this loan beyond what I agreed to pay and wont pay any more payments on it until its fixed this business has shady business practices and terrible customer service and I have documented the verbal assault and will be reporting it to law enforcement for official documentationTower Loan

1 starThis company is the devil in a building. They are bullies and they should be shut down! They write loans for more then people can make even when they are told the limits of the customer! They will bully harass and call you over 20-30 times a day even when you are paying! All the good reviews are written by their employees. Several of their current employees and previous employees have told me this! This company is the deplorable to the paycheck to paycheck human being! They target the poor and then they try to destroy them more. They make you choose between feeding your children and paying them. And heaven forbid that you feed your child because then they will unleash hell upon you and yours and anyone that they can find tied to you.
