Well here I am again with the same **. This time they looked me in the eyes and lied to my face. I’m not sure who does the hiring for the Picayune office but maybe you need to try things a little differently. It’s a joke in there!!! Whoever ***** and ** is thank you for lying and me losing my chemo treatment because you told my husband it would be taken care of if I brought the cash in. I did exactly that and y’all didn’t do what was said. I will take this down if my money is in the bank by Monday.Tower Loan

Thank you for the information provided. Tower Loan (“Tower”) has been made aware by the Better Business Bureau (“BBB”) that the BBB cannot effectively protect information received by the BBB regarding information provided to the BBB concerning customer accounts nor will the BBB notify Tower of third party efforts to obtain such information. As this severely impacts Tower’s ability to protect customer information (as required by law) or defend itself from spurious complaints and attempts at mischaracterization by third parties Tower has no option but to no longer respond to complaints or reviews received from BBB.
It should be noted that in general when Tower is made aware of potential customer dissatisfaction it will investigate the matter and take curative action directly with a customer.
Tower operates over 230 offices in six states. Without providing excellent customer service this would be impossible. While Tower understands human error and misunderstandings sometimes occur, Tower welcomes, and is available for, discussions on all matters with its customers until an issue is resolved.Review fromEdd M

Tower called my wife to say that she owed a balance. We went to company today to try to explain that her medical condition is a vulnerable adult, Alzheimer’s. I couldn’t explain anything to your manager,****** *******. He proceeded to call the police. He said that I threatened him. I have a handicap and 73 years old.
Paid off the balance on same as cash loan and left. I will make sure that I give an appropriate rating to your awful company.Tower Loan

Tower Loan is a SHAM. I got put in hospital for two weeks and still communicated with them regularly that I was not able to work. I managed to catch up payments but they are saying I owe court costs when I never received a court date nor ever went to court. Also trying to charge me for constable says he came to my home twice yet served my fiance at work with both our names on paper with same address. He never received a court date nor went to court. TOTAL LACK OF MANAGEMENT. VERY RUDE AND UNWILLING TO HELP CUSTOMERS. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. COMPANY IS NOT ACCREDITED WITH BETTER BUSINESS Bureau. Worst place ever to do business. I refuse to pay court costs and processing fees and have retained an attorney to Sue this Sham Company. New faves every month as they are awful. Should receive NO STARS.Tower Loan

I was approved for $2,500 loan. They had me DocuSign everything send my driver's license blah blah blah. I got the email that said you'll have your money within 24 to 72 hours I called just to reassure and Springfield office told me yes it would be there by 5:00 most likely today. About 4:00 I got an email that says You've been denied after I get the email that says I was approved. I'm not even sure if this is legal but yeah they told me that I would have my money by most likely at the end of the day everything was good to go so I was waiting on the money and then I get an email I called them and ask them they said they don't have a reason. I think this place is a joke I think this place is a scam I think they should be shut down for this kind of stuff and also I wish I knew if there was laws against this.Tower Loan

Aurora Illinois Tower loan location, sent an employee to my home multiple times. He was so disruptive, I had to call the police. A restraining order was filled with the police to resolve this situation. My account was past due $2xx.xx. Stay away from this company!!!Tower Loan
Date: 04/17/2023
I have read the review posted by Mr. ****** and compared it to account notes and an interview of employees. Mr. ****** indicates his account is $2XX.XX past due, this is completely inaccurate. Mr. ****** indicates "I had to call the police and file a restraining order"; Tower is unaware of either action. In cases where a customer is past due, has not made any repayment and has had no commnication regarding a reason for delinquency Tower will attempt to contact the customer on their primary phone. If those attempts calls are not answered and or returned Tower may attempt to contact the borrower at their residence. When requested Tower will cease visits to a borrowers residence. However, when customer's, in general, do not maintain an open two-way line of communication and there is approved repayment plan in place the account could be referred to a collection attorney for further action. It is my recommendation to borrowers who are experiencing difficulty to contact the local branch and discuss a mutually acceptable plan to cure the status of the account.Review fromSteven N

I'm paying way more for my loan I gave them 2,000.00 few months ago and I did have a balance of 2,100.00 and now it's almost 3,000.00 when I called them today and that is all interest and I'm paying triple what I took out. Everyone of these payday loan places need to be put out of service for good. But if that happens politicians won't be making any money off of them eitherTower Loan

I have reviewed the comment and the records of Tower Loan; it appears Mr. *** is confusing the "payoff" and the "balance" on his account. As no payment has been received in multiple months, the payoff has increased each month. The difference in the figures he quoted is the reduction in the "finance charge" refund as calculated by the Rule of 78's refund method. The figures quoted to Mr. *** are accurate and there has been no wrong-doing by Tower.Review fromRobin R.

I'm in my late 40s, pay my bills and take care of my credit. I was offered 24 mths no interest with an emphasis on "you have 2 years to pay and won't be charged interest". I never recieved a signed contract on terms nor an address of how to pay. "You will recieve it in the mail prior to your 1st payment". Well that didn't happen and I got a call about a month after I purchased my furniture saying my note of $200 was due. No problem, sent $500 to cover the next month too. Then skipped the next mths payment. Oh no..thats not how this works. You have to pay at least 200.00 a mth every month. But I did, last month for this month. No, doesn't work that way. Oh lord..here we go. Paid the next month 500 and the next month 500. Then covid hit, no job, no income but tower called and harassed me every single day. I explained I am ahead on my payments. Nope thats not how it works they said. So much harassment and I sent what I could even though I had zero income and 5 kids I support alone at home. Recieved the 1st economic relief money and paid them off completely. Then, at the end of the two year term I get a call saying I owe 50 in late fees. This was about 8 mths after I paid it off and no contact before then. Uh, no I dont. I paid it off with paid in full stamped on the check. So much harassment for about 2 mths then they said I not only owe the 50 I owe the interest for 2 years. I didnt budge. They are suing me. Im 2 years into the fight and I go to court next week over this. Now its 50 plus interest plus attorneys fees. They reported I owe all if this on my credit and are not letting the fight go when I paid in full. They are crooks, thieves and will do anything to get that interest and more so there's no such thing as no interest. They also called my job and told my boss I havent paid them and they are looking for me and my sister. This company needs to be taken out of business for unethical business practices and down right thievery.Tower Loan

I have reviewed the contract, payment history and account comments where customer was advised the status of her account multiple times. There is no wrong-doing by Tower in this matter. The decisions made by Ms. ****** after being advised of the contractual obligations are sole responsibility of Ms. ******. Tower attempted to resolve this matter previously and Ms. ****** refused.Review fromRebecca B

I do not recommend this company.
For the last 3 months, I have sent multiple letters to Tower Loan letting them know that I do not have the ability to call during my work time. I have also advised that my wife be the point of contact for any information as she is much easier to reach than I am.
I do not get a "scheduled" lunch break as I am on the road or in the office doing my job and working with clients. I don't have time to be on the phone. My wife has been disrespected, yelled at, and transferred without consent and even after she told **** that she didn't want to speak with ***** - he transferred my wife to her only to have ***** yell "I don't care what you want". ***** has yelled at my wife, disrespected our family and our jobs, attempted to gaslight and manipulate my wife after disrespecting her, she hung up on my wife, and belittled us. This is not appropriate nor professional. I have TRIED to respond to the phone calls with letters but even with my own signature on a letter - my wife was told it wasn't me. Tower Loan has contacted people that were not references nor even listed on the application, yet told them they were, so there's another sign of unprofessionalism.
I have informed Tower Loan that we're experiencing financial hardship. We're trying really hard to get the payments to them, so the harassment does NOT help at all. Being harassed is also something we can press charges for especially after we have already attempted contact and have tried working with this branch. My wife is the point of contact, plain and simple.
My wife and I have decided that going to the Better Business Bureau to report the harassment and negligence is the best option.
This has been a massive waste of the time that I should have been spent working. We are working on getting payments to Tower Loan. Like I have mentioned, we are experiencing financial hardship at the moment and we are in fact working on it. We haven't been ignoring them. They've been ignoring us.Tower Loan

In general, Tower does not discuss account information with non-signing individuals. It is curious that one could not allocate 5 minutes to contact Tower during the 47 hours a week that Tower is open for business. The time it took to type this "review" could have been spent by Mr. ****** contacting Tower, moreover, the same "review" was provided to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, so time was found to make these contacts but not contact Tower. This is not a time issue, this is an issue of Mr. ****** not wanting to discuss important details of the account with Tower personnel. privacyReview fromROBERT D.
