I purchased a Hoover ONEPWR Evolve Pet upright vacuum and have a battery that is displaying lights number 1 & 3 which according to their site states there is an issue with the battery. I have tried reaching out to Hoover via phone, email, chat and cannot get in touch with a person at all. This company has all this information but doesnt answer back. This company is a scam and I wish to escalate anything I can against this company.Business Response

I Bought a Hoover Evolve Pet Elite cordless vacuum. 4ah battery died in less than 2 months After jumping through hoops with ************* and ******, I was able to return my 4ah battery and await a new one. Sept 12th 2023: upon receiving my "replacement" battery in the mail, I was supplied with a 2ah battery, which is half the capacity of the battery I paid for and less expensive. I emailed them immediately with the issue. Over the next 3+ weeks, I emailed ****** and customer support no less than 10 times (approx every other day), and received ZERO responses.Today: I just finished "chatting" with "Honey" and all she did was further escalate the situation:"****** Hoover (10/3/2023, 8:03:56 AM): Got it. Case Number ******** has been created....Honey B (10/3/2023, 8:08:48 AM): Warranty Replacements: Units (Batteries included) being replaced under warranty will be replaced with the same model unless it is unavailable. The most comparable unit (Battery) will be sent as the replacement in that instance. On Saturday, September 23rd, I went to carpet clean and saw my carpet cleaner smoking. Immediately stopped it and unplugged it so my carpet didnt catch fire. I attempted contacting the company multiple times. The first time I called, I was able to opt for the callback when it was my turn since there was 23 people in-front of me. I never received a call. I attempted the chat option that the company number said to do and a ticket was created but I never got to have a conversation with a customer service representative. I tried again 4 more times at different times during their office hours, every-time the number would say theres no one available and to try again later, then hung up. I again, proceeded to try the chat option. No success. I have no other option to try and get in touch with them to fix the issue than to go through you guys in hopes their company is will finally assist in the issue.Business Response

Contacted the customer via email and let her know she could take the unit to a nearby ************** or we could send a prepaid label for her to ship to the ************** to determine if this was a belt issue (she would be responsible for payment since not covered under warranty) or if a warranty claim needed to be filed. Requested the receipt because that will be needed if a warranty claim has to be filed. Another option that was offered to the customer was for her to send her unit in to our Engineers so they could determine the issue with the unit and we would send a prepaid shipping label for her to send in to us. If she cannot locate the receipt then a 15% discount was offered on an originally priced unit.Initial Complaint

Placed an order for $251.94 on 9/29/23. Within 30 seconds of placing the order, I saw my phone auto populated the incorrect mailing address. I immediately tried to cancel the order, there is zero options to cancel. Within one minute I call hoover support. I held for hours and could not get through. They have a fake "more than 10 callers ahead of you" message. I even left my number for call back, I never recieved one. I sent an email to hoover support- still waiting to hear back. I tried chatting multiple times, no one ever comes on the line. Then, after logging into my hoover account, I view the order and see they added even more items to my order and charged over $500. Even though I have an email confirmation showing the order was only $251.94. I now have to wait days for it to process before I dispute the charge and hope to get the mo ey which was stolen from me.Business Response

This complaint is against Hoover manufacturing, which I guess, is now called Techtronics Floor Care. In less than 2 years I've purchased 2 Hoover FloorMate deluxe machines. When the first one stopped working in less than a year I chalked it up to just getting a bad one and purchased a new one. Not 3 months after that purchase it died exactly the same way as the first. I tried contacting Hoover at the phone numbers they provide but each time I call I get a recording that tells me the call center is closed. Doesn't matter what time I call, first thing in the morning, afternoon or before I leave work for the day they are always closed. Tried their online chat that never connects you an agent.... Ever. I've been at this now for months, just trying to get thru to anyone. All I'm asking for is a refund, a repair, or a new machine. I thought I was being reasonable when the first one died, but now that I know they have no intention of helping customers resolve any issues with their products maybe I should of started this complaint a long time ago.Business Response

On 19 March 2023 I purchased a Hoover PowerDash Floor Cleaner (Model #FH41000/SN AT21496D082404) on Amazon website and used it about 4 times and then the it stopped dispensing water. We cleaned the attachments, tried to search on line to troubleshoot but nothing helped. We took it to a Hoover Repair Shop only to be told by the owner he used to do warranty work but no longer does it and we needed to contact the company. I searched on line through Amazon and also on the Hoover.com website and tried both phone numbers listed ************* and ************). One number answers with the following recording: "Sorry no one is available to take your call. Goodbye." and hangs up. The other number answers with the following recording: "Sorry no one is here to take your call. Goodbye." and hangs up. I checked the time zone and time and it was during their business hours. There didn't seem to be an email option for customer service so I tried the 'chat' option. I typed in enough to get the robot to ask if I wanted to talk to an agent. It asked me for my name and email address and gave me a case number (#********), then said to wait for an agent. After *********************************** and I never received an email. I searched the web and found a warranty coverage page for Hoover in which to provide information to check on the warranty of the device. I typed all of the above information including a copy of my receipt, etc. When I attempted to 'send' the request, I continually received a message that the page was not found and all I can do is go to the previous page, try to send again, only to get the same message. So basically there is NO way to contact Hoover; NO way to get this resolved; and at this point, I will NEVER purchase a Hoover device again with such poor service. I have copies of the chat; recording of phone message; and copies of what I attempted to send them on line, if needed. I am at a loss of what else to do to get this remedied.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.I took the devise to a local Hoover ************** today, along with receipt and it was repaired on sight. Apparently the devise has an issue with the glue that they use for the water line and when the device heats up the glue melts and clogs the line. I am not totally happy with the response I received and why they cannot refund since Amazon sends them the funds once it purchased, however the matter is resolved and in the future I will not purchase a Hoover item since due to the problems I have had in getting any customer service from them. I will also send them an email letting them know that the matter has been resolved.

I purchased a hoover clean slate cleaner back in 2021. It was awesome and probably one of the best cleaners I ever bought. After periodic use (maybe 15 times) I noticed the hose starting coming apart at one of the seams. Contacted Hoover to make a warranty claim and provided all the information. It was easy and was able to get a replacement hose. No instructions were provided and nothing really online but it was a few screws to open up the unit. Once opened I realized they gave me the wrong hose. I contacted customer service and the lady asked me to send pictures of the different hoses. She stated to open the unit and take a video or pictures of the different base connections I spoke of. Once she had the pictures she told me she had to forward it to another department and they would either resolve it or possibly send a new unit. Few days pass by and I recieved an email from Hoover stating that after careful review they cannot honor the warranty claim because it's now voided because I opened the unit. 1 you cannot replace the hose without opening the unit. 2. The lady told me to open the unit and take pictures of the different hose base or a video. Now the same customer service who told me to void the warranty is telling me I voided it and all they can do is offer me a discount on a new cleaner. Why would I ever buy a Hoover product again after you told me what to do for support and then claim I voided the warranty?!Business Response

I placed an online order for a carpet cleaner but Hoover sent me a vacuum cleaner instead. I returned the vacuum and asked them to return my money. They have had my money since August 4th and the vacuum since August 14. I, however, am out $258.19. This is fraud, pure and simple.Business Response
