      Dear Sirs:I would like to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the Oreck company. For close to thirty years, I have been a loyal customer of ********************. Unfortunately, over the past few years, the quality of their vacuums has significantly diminished. I feel that the company, with my extensive history of purchases, should supply me with complimentary replacements for two vacuums which completely fell apart. I can provide the detailed information of these specific items after the Oreck company responds to this complaint. Again, I am not looking for a free item(s), but I just feel that with the money spent on these supposed high end vacuums, I do feel that it is unfair to sell vacuums which easily fall apart and/or stop working completely. With the older Oreck vacuums, they are still working well, but this complaint is with the newer models.Thank you for your time!*** **** ************

      I am rejecting this response because:
      I would like to know what the resolution will be before I go through the efforts of looking into the model numbers of these vacuums.  These two items were both purchased through ************************.   The battery powered vacuum just stopped working. The motor seems to be not starting. I am not sure how I can send a video of this aspect. The other vacuum, which is a plug in, is tilting over, since the arm/handle has, for some odd reason, bent.  

      Please let me know how to proceed.

      Dear Sirs:

       

      I have pictures, which I will be sending, but I know that one vacuum is the Oreck Elevate Cordless.  This vacuum just stopped working.   It is a few years old and I do not feel that I should have to bring it into a service center, to pay out of my pocket, for an item which is considered "a lemon."    ************ should send me a new vacuum, and I will send the old one back to you within the box.

      Purchased Hoover Power Scrub XL Carpet cleaner on 8-25-24. Used a few times to spot clean and noticed the clean water tank leaks water both when in use and when unplugged and stored on the machine. The carpet cleaner comes with a 2 year warranty. I cantacted Hoover customer service 2-26-25 regarding the warranty and the clean water tank leaking. Went through all checks with support agent and the clean water tank is defective and does not sit on the machine properly. Poorly manufactured cheap plastic part. After reading product reviews regarding the carpet cleaner, this is a know issue with this model (FH68050). I sent in receipts, photos and videos. They asked me which shampoo I used which was the Hoover sample bottle plus maybe some Woolite which states on the bottle it works with serveral brands of carpet cleaners including Hoover. Hoover told me my 2 year warranty is void because of the soap. The soap has never come into contact with the clean water tank. The soap has nothing to do with the defective water tank issue. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told they would contact me and no one has ever called. Warranty states "We recommend using only Hoover solutions. Damage caused by use with other genuine Hoover solution, parts is not cover by and may void your warranty."It says MAY void warranty--not SHALL void warranty. I believe this is fraud and taking advantage of the customer. I would like my money refunded for the defective product or replaced with a product that does not leak. Hover customer service is ************ SN of my carpet cleaner #AT23471D090258price paid $199.99

      About 2 weeks ago I bought a brand new ****** vacuum I unboxed it finding the clip that holds the canister locked broken? I then returned it and got another upon unboxing the second one I found that one broken also, I found no damage to the box its a problem with how they are packaging the item from the factory

      I received this vacuum for Christmas, it was the only thing I asked for and to be honest the only present bought in my house. My kids opened empty boxes the cracker rolls in them! My husband bought this so I could vacuum the cat litter that gets out side the box when the cats leave. It tends to track down my stairs and I hate walking on little pieces of sand. So he bought this for me, from the first use it didn't **** up anything! I put it back in the box and said it was trash and needed to be returned. But because of my disability, I didn't make it back to ******* in the 30 days they allow for returns. So I called the company. I was first advised to take the filter out and try it that way. It worked slightly better, but even on a full charge it could not vacuum a space the size of a 8x8 tile without running out of power and suction. How is that helpful. I tried again, cleaned the whole thing, charged it for two days, tried to vacuum some spilled sugar! Nope! The battery drained so fast that it didn't have enough power to work, once the power level goes down slightly it stops sucking. It's been maybe a month since my first call to the company, and today I attempted the sugar pick up. Now why has it been so long, because I see no need in using this, it doesn't work at all and just makes me angry Everytime.! I have tried to use it 4- maybe 5 times! In three months! I know that Everytime I attempt it, it won't work and I might as well grab a broom and a different vacuum if I want to get anything done. It's a waste of time, plastic, and energy to try to use it. It's brand new! This should not be how I perceive a product that has only on purpose! I have contacted the company 2 times and gotten the run around, make a video, find your receipt, on and on. It's just excuse after excuse. I don't want it, I don't want a replacement, I just want to mail it back and buy a better product that will work! I've never been so disappointed in a company and a product

      I purchased a Hoover pet carpet cleaner in February of 2023. In or around January of 2024 the carpet clean started making noises and had a burning smell to it. I contacted customer support as this product has a 5 year warranty. I started the warranty process. I have sent all supporting videos and documentation that they have requested. I have emailed them upwards of 7 times trying to get them to send my replacement device and they have yet to send it. I have cut the cord off my other product but I still have it in my possession if they want it back. I just want my new device or a refund to go purchase a different brand.

      I purchased a Dirt Devil vacuum at ******* in *******, ** in September, 2024, however, I did not keep the receipt. A few months ago, I tried to turn the unit on and it didnt work. I tried several plugs within my home and the vacuum still didn't work. I contacted Dirt Devil customer service and was told to send them a video of the vacuum not working, which I did. They told me I would receive a refurbished vacuum as a replacement with no warranty and I said that would fine. They informed me a replacement would be coming soon. That will be a month this coming Monday February 17, 2025. There has been no response from the company since that time of them informing me I would receive another vacuum. I would like them to send me my vacuum as soon as possible. I have a pacemaker and Im not allowed to use many vacuums because they are too heavy for me to push, but this one suits my needs.

      On December 8, 2023 I received a notification from TTI Sweepstakes claiming I am a winner of the HOOVER ONEPWR Registration sweepstakes per below copied message: "Per the rules, please respond to this email within 3 business days of email receipt (12/8/2023) to claim the $1,000 prize. In order to send you the **** Gift Cards equaling $1,000, we need a completed affidavit and W-9 form (needed for any prize valued $600 or more). " I have sent over the required documentation and then never heard back from them, and never received the **** Giftcard. Last week I got a 1099-MISC form in my mail , reporting $1000 of income. Since I never got this money, I reached out to them and requested to either send the Giftcard OR Cancel the 1099-MISC form, since it misrepresents the that I received $1000 , when in fact I did not . I sent the mail requesting a resolution on February 5th and they ever responded. Since they did not respond to my earlier emails either, I am writing to request help from you. I want this issue solved in one of the following ways: receive the $1000 Gift card OR get a cancelation/ correction on the 1099-MISC form, since I do not want to pay taxes for income I never received. Thank you

      I purchased a Hoover Vacuum Cleaner. The handle has recently broke and now I have a vacuum cleaner that I cannot safely use. Hoover refuses to do anything because it is out of warranty. I just recently happened. With money as tight as it is these days. This is how they process customer service. I should not have to purchase a brand new vacuum cleaner after 2 years. What does this say about their products and their unwillingness to help the consumer. I asked if there is another handle that can be purchased. No it was suggested after speaking with customer service to just purchase another vacuum cleaner.

      Purchased a vacuum 05/19/24 from ******* and from day 1 I was unable to return to the store. When you present to the store with the receipt, the register prints out a receipt with a 800 number to call Dirt Devil/Hoover. I reached out to Dirt Devil/Hoover regarding issue with vacuum and requested a refund per ******* associate due to them being unable to refund the item b/c Dirt Devil/Hoover has some type of restriction on the item for returning to the store. I spoke with 3 customer service reps/Team ***** through email regarding a full refund and they refused because the vacuum was not purchase online through their site. I explained to Honey/Team Lead that I am unable to return to the store for a full refund due to a restriction being on the item stating not to return to the store. I am requesting a full refund and if needed, the vacuum can be sent back to Dirt Devil/Hoover if they arrange for pickup.

      This is the second complaint re: Hoover vacuum "Whole House Rewind" Model # UH71250 Mfg. Code J19A AT 12 Amps Windtunnel. Defective vacuum and parts.This vacuum falls apart when using, and the accessories are defective, My daughter and I try to vacuum and we need to keep the tab from opening, and bending down to keep the tab closed is too much for me. I have osteoporosis and have difficulty also with the attachments that keep falling apart.I am 81 years old and I do not have a phone that takes pictures.I do not want a replacement, but $250 toward another brand vacuum.

      The customer has been contacted and it was explained that a $250 credit could not be offered but with a valid receipt we could instead do a Warranty replacement. The customer said they could not get a copy of the receipt so a 15% discount was offered.  The customer refused the offer.  The final decision has been made for Hoover to provide the customer with a one time courtesy replacement unit that will not have a warranty and once the customer provides the cut cord/label pictures that were requested we can proceed with placing an order for a new unit.  The customer does not wish to have the same model UH71250 so we will be sending a different model #UH71300V.
