      Our power at our business has been out for 5 days and **** will not connect it back. It says it needs an engineer to look at the hook up but a contractor sat in parking lot in the car for 1 hour doing nothing. The hook up is a pain as there are some trees and he just didnt want to do it. Now our business has suffered and Dule lied to us about the issues and then a supervisor admitted they messed up by not reconnecting it. ************************* needs to check on this.

      I have left a previous review this morning with 2 of my attorneys cards & my ************** if I am being billed monthly every second of the 24hour day 32 days every month, + leap year, DUKE POWER SHOULD ALLOW FOR THE CUSTOMERS TO BE TREATED LIKE GUESTS OR CLIENTS, I CALLED TO CANCEL SERVICE ON SATURDAY JUNE 28th 2025 & an automated voice said were closed today call back between regular business hours, my business hours are 24/7/366 + leap year, thank you

      I was on a quarterly budget. I paid what they said I owed but they canceled my budget charge me for the month plus the budget plus a year end settlement because they said I broke my payment arrangement but I did not and when I asked them for an email so I could send them the verification and proof they told me they weren't giving me one. So I got charged $1,300 it's absolutely ridiculous and this isn't the first time they've done it plus on top of that they lost my deposit$600 because they said they have new systems they changed over and they can't locate where I moved from I gave them an address and they said that I never lived there but yet I did they said my uncle never owned it but he did so I'm just out $600 deposit they said they looked for it but it took them half a day to send me an email that said they couldn't find it and that was all I got all I can say this company is wow what a bunch of c***

      If I can leave no stars I would, **** made a payment arrangement with me on a old account that I had before I purchased my home. I made the first payment and they cancelled the arrangement and transfered the old account to my new home of $168.52 and told me there was no arrangement and if I wanted one . I needed to pay $85 and then the final payment by the 23rd and today is the 10th....huhh...for that I'll just pay the entire balance....Their rates are to high...and don't ever ask for a payment arrangement...They erase notes off the account...Horrible

      I've had duke energy since ******************************************************************************** ************ lost my payment.I called duke energy and payed the payment with my debit card . They told me they were putting a late charge on my bill .I ask them to remove it but the snarky b**** on the phone said we're not doing that and refused to let me speak to some one higher up . It's just corporate greed. And then the son of a britches have the nerve to ask you to add extra money with your bill to help someone else to pay there's . DON'T FALL FOR IT . You got to known the greedy corporate b******* are putting the money in there pockets and laughing all the way to the bank . I just would love to see them pack there s*** up and get the h*** out of ************* and bring Florida Power and Light here .**** on duke energy .

      Duke energy for prejudice against people in mobile homes. We can't get a solar we can't get the where they coming and install your faucets and tell you how you can save on the real and give you the whistle and lights and they'll come to your house install it if you send them mobile home they won'tDon't help people mobile homes to financial assistance is a lie and then messed up I have access to them but the energy wise they charge me when you can make your payment over 6 month period of time and you had to pay extra $50 or whatever it was and I was zeroed out and they told me that you had to ask for and sign for it and I didn't so they charge me an extra $600 and so I got to the CEO or the company of the CEO and they're supposed to get back with me within 7 days every time I called you have no clue it's not it's not showing and every time I call about anything to tell me something different it's always different and all the money that they're charging us for these clean efficient that's re wguess what they wour house and do energy efficient no and whatever you call the health and hands it's not for you it's not for us call it and see I wish that we could do something else figure something else and leave this power companies alone we can't afford this and everybody pays it there billionaires they make the mess but we got to pay to clean up and keep going up every 6 months every year I got one of the programs for thz you get a new one you don't get a discount you got to go through a whole bunch of bull crap back and forth back and forth and still don't get the discount and then the discount for held on control your heat and air and complaint but then what they try to say want their fault told me to call electrician I can't afford electricity not what they did and it blew up I got out the shohalfway naked grandma house coat and my dog and turned off I called Duke energy so I called electrician I can't turn my light breaker box back on by myself the only way around it

      We are an existing customer for longer than a decade. We were adding a service location within the same strip mall building and they required more than a $3,000 security deposit!! We have always paid on time and have a perfect credit score. I asked when would we see our security deposit come back and they said after 2 years! This is unethical business and clearly robbery.

      Shady business practices to try and get more money form people. They will notify you of a shut off notice after it has been shut off to try and get a reconnect fee. scammy from a company who should not be trying to scam people out of $100. Avoid if possible.

      Non existent customer service. To begin with, our ********************** had auto draft setup. With ***, we were required to go in and approve any drafts pending. We switched banks and forgot to update the info on the Duke site. No one approved the draft and it was returned. Rather than being charged a one time fee, this unethical company told me we cannot link a bank account for 1 year while they collect a % of each payment - not a flat rate. Today, I went in to pay by credit card since we can't pay by bank. It autopopulates with the fee but I keep getting an error message that the fee is incorrect & to please correct. Invalid Fee. Please correct I phoned and the system was unable to understand the account # after repeating over and over. I finally get thru to customer service which was zero help. **** doesn't have a share screen or an email so I can send a screenshot. I was told to pay over the phone - no resolution to an online problem. Complete waste of time with a company that continues to rip people off for an entire year.

      I truly hope duke energy of the Carolinas (upstate) find this review and reaches out to the crew that serviced our home today! 7325 187 on 5/2 at 7:12pm. I cannot thank you enough for coming out and repairing our power. The storm knocked out something that caused our little home to not have power. We were the only home in the area without. The *** of restoration showed 6:45 and then delayed to tomorrow. We have a newborn in the home and I reached out to customer service informing them of our situation. Little man and I walked around outside and made arrangements to stay the night somewhere else. Less than 30 min later a crew had out power back on. Thank you so much for taking the time to serve others on a late Friday evening. God bless!
