    I have been with Acosta for several years. Each time that a tech comes out for a semi-annual check of my system, I get a new and more expensive quote for something totally different than what previous techs have recommended. It feels like the only reason for their semiannual visit is to find new things to sell.My most recent experience is why I am writing. A tech came out to check my system and told me that I had freon leaks in my furnace and air conditioner and I needed to replace the air conditioner. He told me that it was operating at about 20 5 efficiency and that it was out of warranty. He said that since the forecast was for hot weather in the next week, he should send a team out asap to order a new air conditioning unit over $9000. Rather than accept his recommendation, I had a second company come out for a second opinion. The techs from this company did a thorough inspection of my systems and told me that they found no freon leaks in either the furnace or the air conditioning unit and, after about five minutes on the phone, determined that the air conditioner was under warranty, and did not need to be replaced, but only the fan motor, which is covered under the warranty. They replaced the fan motor, and the unit has been pumping out cold air like it was new.My experiences with Acosta have left me feeling that their business practices and performance is either incompetent, unethical, or both.I reached out to the owner last week but have never gotten a reply.

    I've had Acosta checking my furnace and air conditioning units for two years now. They have always been professional and courteous. The reason I went with them was because I was over my neighbors house when a technician was inspecting his a/c. and I thought they were thorough in their job.With that said, my complaint is not in how they do their work but rather their estimate pricing to repair what they determined could be an issue down the road. In my case it was one capacitor and one connector. Their estimate to replace both would be $850.00 and gave me a card to save $100 on that work. I declined the work and went on Amazon and purchased both items for less than $50.00. (Yes, both for less than $50.00.) I replaced them myself in 25 minutes and cancelled their services the next day.Someone not able to do that type of work or an elderly individual would feel pressured and agree to their prices.I'm all in favor of making a profit but how do they sleep at night knowing their profit margin are so egregious. An $800.00 profit for 25 minutes of work......WOW.

    Ive used Acosta Heating & Cooling for several years. They installed 2 Cooling units and 1 (maybe two, cant recall) Furnaces. Each time, their work was done by professionals, were prompt and cleaned up afterwards. They have gained my trust as a reputable company.
