I had an unfortunate experience with the billing practices at ********** Pediatrics in **********, Charlotte, **. I was charged extra for acknowledging/answering a doctor's question and double-charged for office visits. I called and emailed several times but was advised that their new policy allows them to charge all sorts of fees because I signed the pad during the check-in.I hope someone take a look at such practices and implements measures to protect consumers.

Bailey Helms PA was horrible. Did not even touch me to ascertain the pain area or depth of pain. Very unsociable. Gave me discharge instructions that are impertinent. I will never go back there.

I would not recommend going to ******** Memorial Hospital. They are rude have no compassion integrity or morals or character. I took my daughter there to get a ********** on April 11th 2024 and she died on April 16th 2024. Upon going back to the hospital to get her medical records I was given a copy of her final tap results which had a diagnosis on there with the doctor's name and final result. When asked about this nobody seems to know what this diagnosis came from and it's in the system at the hospital. She wasn't diagnosed with this until after the ********** because she hasn't ever had this diagnosis before. For some reason nobody knows where it came from this diagnosis even though it's in the system and now my daughter is dead. If you want to be taken care of and people to care about you do not go to this Hospital and I'm not just saying this about this one thing I've had other children go there too and they're simply rude and just don't care.

ATRIUM HEALTH STANLY. This place is full of hypocrites, especially the management. The medsurge management and the over head of them is very rude, disrespectful, and have no heart towards their patients. Just know that they do say horrible things behind your back and are there just for money. I have heard them say that myself. They do not do what they can for the patients, and they overwork and try to get their nurses and CNAs on stupid things. I have many names that I could throw under the bus but I will not do that here. I will say this, a law suit will stick to this place one day and it will be shut down. A law suit hasnt stuck yet because they pay people off to be quiet. This place is overall horrible. I would not send my dog here. It is not safe.

Why am I paying 1000 a month insurance to have to have to call to be transfered to explain the same thing to not get an answer or a response? Why is every medical concern a uphill battle to get the help i need? Why am I being rushed through and not listened to? Why won't the doctor reply to me or the pharmacy so I can get the help I need. I cant get my meds, or forms filled out, and calling gers me bounced around in an endless loop. They've taken over my area, there are no other options. I'm begging for help again, and can't find it.

I recently went to the emergency room for my sister who was in a car accident. I left work early that morning after receiving a call that the car flipped over a few times. This place is very unprofessional. There were 5 people at the window. 2 may have been for check-in. I watched a young woman come in who was not doing well. She could barely stand up. I could visibly see she was shaking and could barely stand. I watched someone come from behind desk tell her to have a seat on other side of room away from where she needed to be to checkin because she still hadn't gotten to do that because there was one person on line ahead of her and it took them a long time to get to her. I had already stood up and position myself to go in for a dive to catch her if she passed out because I was scared that's what was going to happen. She leaned against the wall refusing to go and sit as she was asked. I'm sure because she didn't know if she would make it. FINALLY someone noticed her and went to her aid. But it took entirely too long before it happened. The person who checked me in to see the patient was kind and friendly and I could tell he was busy. He was up and down. The others they could have been busy doing something on computer I'm not sure. But observe your surroundings you work in the emergency department. It's vital. ****************** is a resident at Atrium. and he has a nasty disposition. He may want to rethink why he's going into Healthcare. He looked me up and down like I was trash when first entering the room. Not introducing himself as to who he was. I asked him a question regarding my sister's medication he was rude and never looked at me once in my eye. I did not give reason for this reaction but I think I know why it was done. Dr. ********* needs to be better. Atrium needs to do better. I've worked in Healthcare for years. Most of what I encountered at Atrium Main in Charlotte wasn't right.

This is one of worst medical experiences I have ever had. It was a standard colonoscopy. First, I got a prep material with no instructions on timing or how to use it. It was ineffective and I was. It sufficiently prepared for the procedure. Second, I had to go the main hospital with problems parking, finding the right place for the procedure and waiting an hour past my appointment time to be seen. I will never do this again.Afterwards, I called ************************** with a request to change doctors. I was told I had to come into the office to fill out a form (not available online). I drove to *** to be told there was no such form. I was put with ****, the Nurse Manager. She reiterated there was no form. I told her I wanted to change to a male doctor and was told there was only one. She promised to check with him to see if he would accept a new patient. This was on Tuesday, Oct 15. Having hear nothing, I called MMC twice on Friday, October 18. She was not available either time. I left a message asking for a return call. **** never called back.Left with no choice, I am now searching For a new doctor on my own. So much for Atrium. Hope the rest of you are having a better experience.

Certainly not 1 star, but ZERO. I went to see a doctor at ***************************** in July, my insurance was listed in my personal information. I chose the doctor closest to me, but how come the doctor is covered by my insurance but some of his appointment locations are not? How is this possible? Why can't the Atrium Health website select a doctor or procedure that is ONLY covered by insurance? Or at least clearly and accurately state exactly what (doctor, procedure, appointment location) is not covered by my insurance so I can make my own decision. I've been to this doctor twice (July and August) and now owe almost $500 for those two appointments. So, this doctor is covered by my insurance, but for some reason the PLACE where she sees me is not covered by my insurance. What is this absurdity? Of the three places where my doctor sees me, this particular place is not covered by my insurance. How interesting. Why does Atrium Health allow themselves to be so fraudulent and misleading?

Wife had services for radiology at their ********** office on June 3rd 2024. Received a Final Notice bill last week and went to pay it on-line but bill is not showing. Called their billing this morning and seems it's gone to collections. Said they sent out 2 prior bills. Now I know they are lying because I check the mail and this was the first time I received a bill. I'd of let this one pass but we've had a history in the past of Atrium not sending us a bill then finding out later we owed them.

Came in on may 29th for a cold. Talk to Hana ********* NP. When I explained my symptoms she told me it would be best to take a Covid test. I agreed and was given two options. One being rapid test with instant results, or one that would cost me nothing and would be ran through insurance. They confirmed that it wouldnt cost me anything if they run it through my insurance. So I agreed to do the Covid test ran through my insurance and wait for the results to come back. Fast forward. I received a bill showing rapid test. Clearly I waited several days for my results to return. They coded it 100% wrong and now Im stuck with the amount. Im now dealing with the atrium billing department and you will get the run around. **************** **** have no idea what youre telling them because its not their job. Im totally escalating this. I do not recommend this particular nurse practitioner due to her poor notes and relaying a message. Unfortunately I am now going through the hassle between their billing department and put a hold on my charges before it goes to collections. Make sure you record your interactions with whoever you meet, ** or NP they will do mess it up and bill you for it even tho thats not what you agreed to. You will be on the phone for about two months and get the run around. Going forward Im video taping my visit to cover myself. Please careful this has got to be the biggest insurance scam.
