    The customer service with this company is abhorrent. Everything is outsourced to people who are obviously just reading a script. Every time we try to get someone to repair our service, they just tell us it will be the next day and nothing changes. They make it impossible to reach out to anyone other than these customer service agents who are absolutely no help. We will be changing back to ********. They at least act with a sense of urgency when you call for service. I would love to speak to anyone with the company in ********* if I had the opportunity.

    My internet went out on the July 1st. Called in got a technician to come out. Realized on July 2nd it wasn't just me, but the whole area, and I visibly saw the problem. It was a bundle of wires messed up and dangling from the pole. Instantly called to tell them, and to relay thar it was nit just one home but a whole area.They denied this, and refused to have someone come look. I called daily. July 3rd guy was supposed to come between 8 and 12, never saw him. Called at 2 to figure it out, they said "oh they had to outsource it because of the wires " it is now July 8th, and there is no ETA on when this will be fixed, they have to try and find people to come fix it as they say they are understaffed. I live super rural, and this is my only option for internet. We need the Internet for school and work. The call workers are always so rude and snippy. This company does not care, as most of its workers are not in the **, so they can do and say whatever to no repercussions. It's so frustrating to not even be given a time frame to have service restored. That's all I want, so I can make arrangements. If anyone sees this and you are debating on bright speed, please reconsider. I'd use almost anyone else if I had the options.Also the speeds are awful. There are no redeeming qualities about Brightspeed.

    I received an email promotion to upgrade the speed of my internet (I have a landline/internet combo that they took over from Century Link in 2022) that I ignored, but a letter followed. I thought then it would be worth it (lower price for lst 6 mos) & the offer expired in late June. They scheduled me for Mon. June 16. Nobody came, & they called to reschedule for the next **** Again nobody came. They rescheduled me for Sat. June 28.The guy came & They called at 1:54 p.m. to say was done, & then disconnected the landline! I did not discover it until their email at 9:05 **** Monday, June 30 "sorry to see you go".I was on the phone that p.m., ************* I filled out 2 like forms from their emails, both Tues. & Wed. I called all 3 ************ always some foreign accent I can barely understand. Wed. I was promised service back by Thurs. I called the local supvr. & he told me he didn't have a ticket so he couldn't send someone out. It's now Sun. night, July 6 so I've been w/o for over 8 days. The explanation was the phone was on the old copper wire. Why didn't the service tech change both? I should have known better, as I am in an area hardest hit by hurricane ****** & was out of ***. Nov. 6-30 due to a damaged cable. I could never get any info. about when they expected it to be restored. *********** has an automated # to call ref. restoration. I got the email bill July 5, which was $31.40 less but I will have to wait for the paper bill to see what they are actually charging me for fast speed. They told me multiple times they could no longer offer me that lower price. Fortunately I have an alternative which is an est. *** in the ******** will be going to their ofc. in the **** to sign up, get my **************** # of perhaps 40 yrs. back, if they are able to get in touch with Brightspeed to get it. I see I am not the only one with this experience, so if you are a Brightspeed customer, get out while you can. don't wait until you need service.

    Lost service on April 1st, customer service indicated April 22th repair, I was on a trip to ******** and ***** and would not return until May 9th. Called customer service while in ***** to change date to May 12th. ***************** including supervisor indicated could not make an appointment, had to take the date they offered. After an hour on the phone, they made the appointment for May 12, only 43 days after service was lost!! On May 21st - lost internet service. Called trusty **************** and thy indicated service would be repaired on June 6th. No Technician on June 6th!!! Called ***************** no reason for missing *******, they said June 26th!!! Finally got service back on June 26th - only out for another 37 days. Service out for 80 days in 3 months is not exactly ********************

    We have had no service for going on ten days with brightspeed. It's everyone in our neighborhood. And when you call customer service, when you can get through, they've just been telling everybody, oh, you need a new modem box. We don't all need new modem boxes.And the boxes have arrived, and the problem is still there. It's very p***, 4 customer service and everybody out. Here is switching to someone else, but the fact is, they're not even sending a technician to come out here and see what the problem is.They assign technicians, but nobody shows up.

    My landline has been out of service for two days. They tell me I can't get a tech out here for another 20 days. I live rural and run a business for which I need this line. I have tried multiple channels including the chat feature, using the phone, and messaging through ******** Messenger (they won't let anyone comment on the public-facing ******** page).

    Brighspeed is awful. I am not sure what has happened to the customer service of this company but no one will help you when you call in. Several people are without internet and they keeping telling all of us there is no outages. Apparently something is going on. I will either get hung up on or chat will end without appointment being set. Many people have have appointment dates but are weeks out. This company really needs to be evaluated and restructured apparently.

    Terrible service for business. I switched over to Brightspeed on June 13 and had phone service for one and half days (only because the repair forward the phone to my cell) before they disconnected the number. No internet services at all. I have been unable to resolve this and after filing *** complaint still not resolved. We are a mental health clinic in a rural area and have not been able to provide services to our clients since this time. I have been on the phone for hours but no resolution and no one cares. 18 days and counting. I have been unable to port my number back to Mediacom because Brightspeed finds a reason to not do so. We are at 18 days so far and after 20 years with this number they are not allowing me get my number back. Do not use them for services is my recommendation or you will be sorry. I'm sorry I ever heard their name. They deserve no stars.

    After setting up a payment arrangement for three equal payments, and making the epic mistake of giving them permission to auto-withdraw the funds from my account, not only have they have taken 4 payments for the same amount. They claimed I did not make one of the payments when I had proof from my bank that I did. Then, they tried to take a fifth payment. I was able to lock down my debit card and block that fifth one. Forty five minutes on the phone with someone who barely understood english, was clearly reading from a script, and became very condescending with me when I did the math for them, proving all payments had been made. This company has zero clue what they are doing and will not hesitate to rip you off financially.
