    This company is a scam. Do not use them. They pressure you to give them information about you and then when you don't, they hang up on you. I couldn't get a word in with these people, they were rude and insistent on me giving my information without listening to my needs, and when I wouldn't their attitude completely changed. Avoid at all costs!

We researched the brief call you had with a Family Advisor, and it unfortunately did not meet our service standards in providing empathetic, expert guidance for seniors and their families. We've followed up to provide more training for that referral agent, and apologize for the initial experience you had.     This company hounds clients relentlessly. Their pricing information is only for the smallest unit - usually a studio, so if you're looking for a 2 or 3 bedroom, it will be WAY out of your price range. I thanked them for their time and said goodbye by email. The same when they called, then they called again. I responded to their repeated email surveys negatively, and that increased their calls and emails. Then this email - "Your response will allow us to END future emails and calls from Caring.com and the providers we referred you to. We are just worried and will still do follow-up calls...". I responded that if they continued to harass me, I would post honest negative comments everywhere I could find on the internet. They have called 3 more times since then - late evening, early morning, weekends. IN ADDITION, the places they gave my information to, with my verbal permission, who were only supposed to email me, also call relentlessly - between all these places, up to 16 calls per day. I never signed caring.com's "required" written consent because by the time they emailed it I had already ruled out all the locations they gave me. BE AWARE that they also "offer" to help you move, and take over your financials. RUN, do not walk away from this horrible company, who only "cares" about whatever commission they can get.

    I tried to do a detailed negative review of a memory care facility that is on Caring.com's website. The facility refuted my claims, provided outright incorrect "proof" that my claims were incorrect, and thus Caring.com refused to post my review. So just be advised that Caring.com's reviews of facilities will greatly favor the facility being reviewed. The point of reviews is to be informative based upon the customer's experience. ********************** does not provide impartial and nonpartisan reviews.

    Hi *****, As we shared when you posted this review on another website too: Caring doesn't "take sides" or favor one party over another in a reviews dispute we're a neutral host of consumer reviews. Once a review is published as meeting guidelines, we don't simply remove it based on differences of opinion. Instead, senior living communities must provide (in writing) substantive factual counter to a consumer's allegations before we'll remove that review. And we can receive written substantive documentation from consumers in the reviews dispute too, so you may contact ****************************** to have your case re-evaluated (we'd like to see the documentation that supports your fact-based allegations in the review and factually-supports that the community provided "outright incorrect proof" in their counter). Consumers can (and do) share their negative customer experiences in reviews within guidelines; but making false or factually-inaccurate claims against the senior living community can be potentially libelous (and therefore outside guidelines).     Im shocked at the negative reviews. Im just starting, but ** very impressed with the responsiveness to my questions and the friendliness of the staff. When I told them my wants and needs I was directed to several communities , though I admit not all fit the bill. (Someone did not hear me.) One has really fit the bill for us, so we are going to tour asap. The layout is almost perfect and the cost is better than we had hoped.

    Either the employees are trained not to hear what you are stating, or the employees just lack common sense. When I went looking for some possible alternative care for my father-in-law, I disclosed that he was already in a community (fully disclosed the name of the community). The woman clearly did not hear, listen, or care. She sent to that community my contact information. WTF? Now, that community is asking me **** questions. No, there is nothing to hide; however, it was stupid of the care dot com associate to do that. When I attempted to call back CARING to speak with a supervisor about this, the woman who answered the 800 number transferred me to another associate who was not a supervisor. Then, she hung up on me because she thought I was too mad. WTF? How juvenile is that. If this is anyones first time looking for senior care, please, please, please, dont think that these folks are helping. Treat this directory service as it is. Its a directory service that only gets paid when you buy. You will still do all the leg work. Get the names off the site, and go do your own homework. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

    I was trying to find out the approximate cost of independent senior living facilities in my area. A simple internet search lead tow me entering my email and phone number. I was disappointed to find out that I was on a recorded line that asked me for personal information before I could ask my question. I was hesitant to give this information and said so. I was asked, for example, what medications I was taking, how much my home is worth, etc. I was very uncomfortable with this questioning and do not understand why the conversation had to be recorded. For what purpose? I would not use this service in the future!

    Caring.com says that they check out the assisted living facilities they advertise... I can assure you they do NOT. they sent my husband to a dump... West Lake Assisted Living ******, **. I complained to them, yet, they continue to advertise this facility. Note... all photos of the facility have been taken down.. why? Because they were all fake. Oh, yeah, they personally look at them. If they did, they would have called the ************ and had this place shut down. RIP-OFF... Caring.com should be ashamed and SHUT DOWN!

    We appreciate that we've been able to provide senior living information and phone-based referral services (at no charge) to D.S. since 2014. We took it very seriously when she contacted us recently with concerns and allegations about an assisted living care home in *****. Caring.com provides informational resources and senior living community suggestions for seniors and their families; we also host an online reviews program to help consumers with their research and decision-making. We do not claim to inspect, regulate or endorse senior living communities, nursing homes, or residential care facilities, per our referral service and website Terms of Use (***********************************************). We rely on senior living communities, nursing homes and residential care facilities to provide the most up-to-date information and photos about their businesses for their online profiles in our directory. Among the follow up actions we took in response to D.S.'s concerns: * We communicated with her by phone and email, and invited her to provide her photos for comparison to any displayed for the care home on our website. We also invited her to submit a consumer review we could publish about the care home's assisted living services, and we provided to her the contact information for the long-term care ombudsman (an offline consumer advocate) in *****. * We contacted the State of Texas Health and ************************* and confirmed the information they have posted publicly for consumers (************************************* ). The care home has an active license for assisted living services, and has no violations of state standards/no regulatory fines or citations posted for 2022. * We contacted the care home owner, and via a video conference, our staff was given a tour of the care home and shown interior rooms. Based on all information we collected in follow up for this matter: We were unable to substantiate that there was false representation in the imagery for the care home on the Caring.com listing, and we did not remove the business profile from our directory.     Hang updo not engage or take a call from Caring.Com. You will regret it. I was expecting a call from an approved home assistance provider having worked closely with the hospital case manager for support needed for my brother after a hospital stay. So when Caring.com called and said they were referred to me to help find support for my brotherit sounded like they were the call I was waiting for thru the hospital. The rep proceeded to push full time placement instead of the in home part time support that the hospital/dr said was neededsuggesting that he would recover faster and it would be cheaper. Believing that he was working with the hospital, I asked him if he could send me an overview of the options and costs that he had just shared. He said he would send me an email the what she had talked about. I agreed and he asked if he could share my contact info with the care facilities that we had discussed. I agreed. BIG MISTAKE!!! My phone has not stopped ring for three days! Immediately after I hung up the calls startedI had not even received his email yetwhich was a total jokejust pretty links to placesno quotes or estimated costs like he said he would be sending! we had only discussed 4 locations and within an hour I had gotten calls from ten different people. So now on top of trying to deal with this difficult health situation and my family I also have to deal with calls and emails.
