I was a patron of the business where I received a boot. The signs outside clearly state 30min parking. I was at this location less than 15 minutes. When I spoke to the employee inside they said that WheelBlockers called to ask them how many customers were inside. The store employee then apologized stating they didn't know what car was mine. Both parties took advantage of the situation and neither of them did the right thing by taking the boot off. Instead, I had to pay $200 to leave the parking lot of the store in which I was shopping.Business Response

It is 30 minute parking for in store customers only. Unfortunately you left the store and went elsewhere resulting in the vehicle being booted. Parking is very limited and in a high traffic area therefore making parking almost impossible. Again please follow all parking rules going forward.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: I went to make a transaction inside the store. The store employee and myself both discussed trying for the product next door. This was a common interest for both me and High Life as they sold me an item they didn't carry the replacement part for. Your employee called this store - they didn't call you and they clearly didn't know you were booting my car as the employee in High Life realized the mistake. No one did anything about it. I've spoken to the cops about this and I in fact had the right to park there as my intent was to purchase an item I assumed they carry. If you, 'the business owner' of ** agree this a reasonable reason to get booted than I question your morals and how you run a business. I've spoken to many business owners in the Plaza Midwood area and I've been told your company is persistent on teaming up with them and they have all turned you down because of your reputation. Own up to your mistakes. I was inside the lot for less than 15minutes. I stepped outside the door to my immediate right because the ** employee TOLD ME TO and returned to my car immediately.Business Response

Unfortunately your claims are false. You left your vehicle on property u attended. As far as businesses turning us down thats another false claim by you. Plaza Midwood has a huge parking issue because of limited parking and we provide excellent service to our clients and if you look around the Plaza Midwood area youll notice we service most of the businesses because our our excellent service. Please follow all parking rules going forward.Initial Complaint

I received a parking violation on Saturday, 12.3.2022, I was told that it was 200 to get boot removed and that I could call or go to the location on Monday by the driver for a receipt. I paid 100 in cash and 100 on my card. I called on Sunday and was told I needed to call back on Monday. I called on Wednesday and supervisor who was very nasty, stated that if you don't get a receipt at the time of removal that they don't issued receipts??? I need a receipt for this occurred cost!!!Business Response

You were given a copy of your receipt you signed at time of transaction as well as your option to have one sent by text or email when you used your credit card.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: I did not receive a receipt at the time nor any assistance when contacting the business. Which is why I am taking measures to shed light on their poor business practices. Please provide a copy of the signed receipt that is claimed!Customer Answer

Let me begin by stating. It is appalling to me to see so many complaints about the same issue and nothing being done about it. It is also appalling to know that a company can post such a disrespectful response and NOTHING be done about the complaint or the company. Nevertheless, I am adding to the list of complaints and expect a copy of how the company determines what price to inflict upon violators. The sign states ( or stated) that boots are $125. Why are customers being charged $200? Where is this money going once collected? Does the *** have a list of the charges? When I asked for a photo of my receipt, I was told that I was texted a copy. The *** doesnt take texted tax returns. Moor did I text my payment. The day I was charged the man was so rude that I took pictures of him, his car, and him performing his job. Since I was working when I incurred the charge, it is a tax write - off ( expense). Therefore I will not ask for a refund. Instead, I ******* the company to justify the charge and explain how it aligns with the price that is located on the sign, I need them to justify who receives the money charged, and I need them to govern themselves in a manner that upholds the image that ********* ( named after her majesty) seeks to uphold. Telling me to park in the street and put my hazard lights on while I handle a brief moments business; is beyond unprofessional and an insult to area businesses. Furthermore, it is my belief that Employees should dress the part of a reputable company and behave/speak in a manner that compliments the companys morals or ethics. The usage of bullying and condescending remarks are unprofessional and often lead to unwanted results.Respectfully Submitted,*************************Business Response

If you would respect others property and not park where your not authorized you wouldnt have been booted. You were charged the correct fee as their stated on *********** that you failed to read and obey the rules posted. Our employees are always in uniforms and Im sure he never gave you permission to take his picture. Again you were illegally parked which resulted in your being booted therefore WheelBlockers will not be issuing a refund.Initial Complaint

This company is absolutely ridiculous. I was in a marked spot for a business that was also closed at the time but had been there earlier in the evening. 1. It was a marked spot for customers and 2. Had permission from the business to be parked there. There were no towing signs. It is a brewery and shouldnt tow customers for leaving cars over night when they have been drinking alcohol. Again, staff knew my car was going to be left there! I have never had a problem here before. Caught the guy booting my car and he wouldnt stop even though I was trying to leave. He then was planning on towing on top of the boot! Its usually one or the other. Super unprofessional. Paid $200 to get the boot off. When I called to speak to someone they purposefully hung up on me twice when they realized it was a complaint. Super unprofessional for a business as they were gouging me for money. My receipt does not have the correct business on it, and was told I needed a parking sticker. No customers or staff have stickers for the parking spots. This place is a scam.Business Response

Signs are clearly posted stating the parking rules and fees per city ordinance. Unfortunately you were not a customer at the time as you stated yourself which resulted in the boot fee or tow. Not sure what receipt you were referring to that wasnt our companys but if you have it we would like to see it for verification purposes.
Thanks,

I was placed with a boot on my vehicle for not being a patron of the establishment. But indeed was and went to another place prior to coming back to my vehicle. Company has no proof of me not being a patron of the establishment and still had to pay the $200. This is ridiculous, unfair and unlawful. I would really like my money refunded.Business Response

Unfortunately you left the property and were not a customer at the time your vehicle was booted. You stated yourself you left the property and came back to the vehicle later. Signs are clearly posted per city ordinance stating the parking rules and fees. We apologize for any inconvenience but you were illegally parked resulting in the boot and fee.
