      What is an alternative to AAA where the company actually does what you pay for? Two separate dates, two separate occurrence, same terrible and unacceptable service. Both times no communication with roadside assistance, after a few hours and a few calls to AAA, nothing is resolved. Like others, I paid for emergency roadside assistance, not a load of empty promises when an emergency happens. DO NOT BUY!!!! Unless you want to sit with a vehicle that needs attention and no one cares!!!!!

      We apologize for the experience our member had with Roadside Assistance and we want to assure our members that *** wants its members safe at all times when dealing with emergency roadside situations. As stated in our *** Member Handbook, we always try to be as responsive as possible when responding to roadside assistance calls but unavoidable delays can occur during severe weather conditions, an increase in the volume of service requests, heavy traffic, road construction,unusual circumstances, etc. We also advise in our *** Member Handbook, if a member has waited an excessive amount of time, they may secure services on their own and submit for a reimbursement for services that would have been covered under the *** Membership.

      On 8/7/22 a little after noon I called to get a tow, as my car had broken down. The *** was 1:30. It is now 4pm and the *** is now 6:30pm. Awful service all around. From the other reviews this is the standard, not the exception. Save yourself the money, just pay for a tow when you need it. It probably wont take 7 hours like AAA does.

      We are sorry to hear that our driver did not arrive in the estimated time that was given and that the time did change, we do encourage our members if the time has exceeded 2 hours and assistance has not arrived to secure a tow out of pocket and apply for reimbursement which is a benefit for their membership, explained on page 4 under Reimbursement Regulations in our Member Guide. Also, as stated in our AAA Member Handbook, we always try to be as responsive as possible when responding to roadside assistance calls but unavoidable delays can occur during severe weather conditions, an increase in the volume of service requests, heavy traffic, road construction, unusual circumstances, etc.

      I am appalled the Aaa is still in business and has any customers paying them. Every review on here is negative and today I am adding another one! My daughter is 17 years old traveling with her 18 year old boyfriend up to ******* **. They have a dead battery and are stranded in ************* and have been for over 4 hours. We have all reached out multiple times to you guys and NOTHING! It will be dark soon and triple aaa has done nothing to help my child! I will never give you all another dime and I will pray that nobody else will either!

      We apologize that a bad experience has been had in  our ************* service area. As stated on page 2 of the member guide,Although services are generally similar in all AAA and ******************************* (CAA) territories, rules and regulations vary and services will be provided in accordance with regulations of the AAA/CAA Club servicing the area. Guidelines governing roadside assistance are subject to change without notice. AAA of The Carolinas is the members home club, services were requested in ************* and would not reflect the members home club.

      I have been a customer for 22 years and in that time have probably filed no more than 10 requests for help. There won't be a 23rd year. On July 30th I called at 1:00 to report that the battery that I bought from them a year ago was dead and I needed a jump start. I was told that a technician would arrive at my address in ******* North Carolina at 1:43 and her name was ********. At 1:40 I receive a message saying that she would arrive at 1:54. At 2:05 I receive a message that the job has been completed yet amazingly I'm still standing in 100 heat leaning against a car with a dead battery that still won't start. I called AAA four more times and spoke to four different agents who gave me the excuse that dispatch was 20 minutes behind in their calls but I would receive a call when they were free. Finally after my fifth call I found an agent who would do her job and she contacted me with dispatch only to be told that they had to redo the entire request again and it would be 4:00 before anyone could reach me. At 3:20 I receive a text message informing me that a technician would not reach me until 4:42 which is almost 3 hours after they promised a technician would be there and close to 4 hours since I had initially called for a dead battery that I bought from them. For 22 years I have wasted my money paying premium dues just so I could be treated like this? There is no doubt in my mind that ******* is going to h*** in a hand basket because companies stealing people's money and doing nothing to help them and not doing what they promise. Don't waste your money paying dues to this company like I have and I can promise you there will not be a 23rd year for me. And I'm sure the only comment I will get will be the crappy emails they send out trying to blame everyone else because they can't do what they promise.

      We apologize that our customer had this experience, recently our contracted providers have been short staffed at times only working with one driver and trying to be responsive as possible to our members needs. As stated in our AAA Member Handbook, we always try to be as responsive as possible when responding to roadside assistance calls but unavoidable delays can occur during severe weather conditions, an increase in the volume of service requests, heavy traffic, road construction, unusual circumstances, etc. We also encourage our call center agents notto make these guarantees as stated unavoidable delays can occur and we don't want our members expecting a service by a certain time and that time could possibly change. Times given to our members are not guaranteed times but estimates.

      AAACarolinas left a paying member stranded for 3 hours without letting her know no wrecker was coming after an accident. A 74 year old woman was left in the median between 4 lanes of traffic in rain because AAACarolinas wouldn't pay for towing but didn't call back to inform their customer who thought they were sending a tow truck. Road side assistance in 12 page member guide doesn't indicate they don't do "recovery" or even explain what that means. The stranded wreck victim was also left on hold 2 more times for over 10 minutes when she tried to find out when the tow was coming. She would have been better off without trusting AAACarolinas to honor its commitment and calling a tow truck herself the first hour. The cruelty of leaving someone on a dangerous highway without letting them know was extremely unprofessional. The staff's indifference for customer ********************** is astounding. Members paying over a thousand in membership fees over the years deserve more respect and care. Don't use AAA..

      We are sorry that as a member you had this experience, we strive to give our members as much information as possible through the member guide, effective communication from our emergency road service agents, etc. We apologize for the encounter you experienced during that incident. As stated in our member guide On the rare occasion that a AAA road service provider is not available (after calling our 800 number), or your membership cannot be confirmed, you will be reimbursed for those services normally provided free of charge with your membership.If the wait times are beyond normal, we encourage our members to secure alternate services and apply for reimbursment.

      On 7/21/22, I called for tow service and was told that the Wrecker service will call when in route, an hour went by and no one called. I called back and found out that no one dispatched a tow truck, so I waited another 2 hours. I called back and once they found out that the vehicle was parked at a business they could not tow "Private property". The business had closed by that time and I had been waiting for over 3 hours. They had hours before the business closed. The business didn't even have any service with my vehicle. I was just parked there. The next day (7/22/22), I left work early so I could call AAA again to tow my vehicle. I called for a tow and was told I would get a call when the wrecker service was in route again, but I waited another 3 hours and no one called. I was beside myself then. I paid for a service and did not get it. The worst experience I've had with a company. I had to call a tow truck and pay for it myself the next day. I wouldn't even give AAA 1 star on a freaking review, but I had to give at least 1 star to post my review

      We do not want our members to have a negative experience with our service providers and as stated in our AAA Member Handbook, we always try to be as responsive as possible when responding to roadside assistance calls but unavoidable delays can occur during severe weather conditions, an increase in the volume of service requests, heavy traffic, road construction, unusual circumstances, etc. We do want our providers to maintain communication with our members so that they can utilize the option of securing a tow and utilizing the filing for a reimbursement which is also a part of their membership.

      On 7/11/22 and over 2.5 hours later along with 1.5 hours on the phone and still no response. Avoid AAA at all costs.

       We always try to be as responsive as possible when responding to roadside assistance calls but unavoidable delays can occur during severe weather conditions, an increase in the volume of service requests, heavy traffic, road construction, unusual circumstances, etc. In those events we do encourage our members to seek services on their own and file for a possible reimbursement of out of pocket expenses that would otherwise be covered under their AAA Membership.
