New unit is 2 years old and the coils have failed again. Needed to be replaced and all coolant replaced. Cost thousands of dollar because Trane does not cover labor installation or coolant cost. We are a new development and many others in our small neighborhood have had the same issue. Our AC guy told us Trane is using cheaper materials and that is why theyre seeing so many coil failures/leaks. Incredibly disappointing.

I have a HVAC that is 2 years old. Had an issue with a low pressure system last year that resulted in repairs and 2 months of high electric ****. Trane brags about their 10 year warranty but its only for parts. Not labor. Now yesterday, I lost all AC. I was told I need several parts and they would not be able to get them for 6-8 WEEKS. I have small children in the house and it is august. My house is untenable. The **** for labor will still be over **** dollars. Trane has produced an absolute lemon of a product and are zero help to me. Im quickly approaching the cost in repairs what I would pay for a new unit. I am going to remove this system and place a different brand in my house. I will never buy another Trane and I will tell everyone else to do the same.

******************* replaced my home HVAC systems in September 2019 with Trane Units. All was well until July, 2022 (less than 3 years) when my air conditioning system stopped working. ACR did a diagnostic check and found the system had a defective evaporator coil which slowly leaked out all refrigerant (8 lbs.) over time causing the air conditioning unit to completely shut down. The evaporator coil was covered under Warranty. I have spent $1,722.00 out of pocket to get the system up and working. The warranty covers parts but does not cover the refrigerant even though, the refrigerant is the key part of the air conditioning unit. The refrigerant cost was $1,400.00 of my Overall cost.I personally feel this defect has been there from the beginning for this to have happened so quickly. I am asking Trane get with ACR and do what they know is right. I also have a question for Trane, are there any environmental/health issues I should be concerned about for my family as this air was circulating through my home ventilation system while this leakage was occurring? While the evaporator coil is covered under the existing warranty, the refrigerant and the shipping costs for the parts were not. The defective part is what caused the complete loss of the refrigerant and to replace it alone was $1400.

Got a 2 new Trane A/C units installed in May one quit blowing cold air in a month. A/C guy came out the unit was down 5 pds of coolant, he replaced it. Then 1 month later same thing he came back out found a leak, coolant down 5 pds again. Now Trane says they will replace the part but will not cover the labor to install it ir cover coolant. The A/C guy says $1800 for labor and coolant. WHAT, WE JUST SPENT $16,000. FOR THESE UNITS. DON'T BUY A TRANE THEY DON'T STAND BY THEIR PRODUCTS!!!

Oil leakage after 4 years! You cant stop a Trane - false advertising. This problem is going to cost us, the customer, over $2,000 because all the Freon needs to be replaced. Trane is paying for the part - of course we have to wait 3 weeks to get it - but the biggest expense is left for the consumer to pay. I thought this was a highly rated company!?! I guess all these negative reviews tell a different story, dont they.Well, as long as the *** makes millions, what does Trane care. Their customer service is a total waste of time.Never again!!!!

Like many feedbacks below me we have all together 5 trane units in 2 properties. We recently did a garage renovation and bonus room and were talked into installing a mini split in 2018. We barely ever used the room and really never conditioned it. Recently, we turned it into a fitness room. The room would not cool. We contacted hvac company who installed and they came out and said the condensing cool was leaking refrigerant. Parts are covered but labor is *******. Irritates me but we said ok and now they will not be making parts until august 26th. We have been waiting since July 5th. If you base your decision on Tranes former reputation I would not do that. I would shop around. Hvac companies only push trane because you have to be authorized to get parts and cant get them if a small company and dont have authorization. I would consider any other brand and do not be sucked into the hvac company talking you into trane unit.
