      I. Bought the top of the line two stage Trane system in 2020. I paid $16,000-$17;000and was told I was paying for the 10 year guaranteed warranty. The system does not regulate the humidity as it claims, and this week, our system quit cooling during ****** degree temperatures. We had to wait 8 days for a part and 9 for a technician. The service repair/maintenance person told us it was a faulty valve and Freon wasnt getting to he system. As much as we paid and to be uncomfortable is absurd. Why is there not a recall and how doI know this wont be a yearly process? I should not have to pay for any repairs and really should be compensated for a new unit or for being uncomfortable in my home. Ive missed several nights of good sleep because its been so hot! Our technician is always an arms reach but when the part isnt a bailable, we are at the mercy of Trane. Please rethink before you purchase a Trane.

Trane is a big air conditioner company but unfortunately they used unqualified contractors to fix the ** unit or to make maintenance. They used 4 Seasons Heating ******************** above installed my Trane ** unite in August 2018 The unite is broken and did work any more in June 2022 and it was in warranty I asked them to fix it and they send a unqualified guy They ask to remove the basement ceiling I bring in another company (Reliance) and they replace a conductor from inside the unit and after that they said the compressor is not working I returned to 4 Seasons the refused to talk with me And refused to fix the unit My husky dog about to die because it was too hot finally I replace all the unit by new company and new brand I payed *************** $6000 for Trane ** unit now I threw it away in the backyard I need my right from 4Seasons because my unit was in Warranty and they refused to fix it Thank you

Trane Sux! I have a brand new home just completed in ****** *******, unit is 3 months old and the condensing fan and module crapped out. To add insult to injury although under warranty the local Trane supplier doesnt have the replacement parts! So we are without AC with temperatures in the 90s and of course the ******* humidity. Today is Saturday, we have to hold our breath that theyll be able to expedite the parts on Monday. Which now leaves us pondering, what if and when if thats not a possibility! So before you have your AC unit installed always check if replacement parts are readily available and the installer/repair service has good access for parts from Trane. I unfortunately had no choice the unit was supplied by my builder in the original cost of build. Were a retired couple in our late 60s my wife is disabled with MS, I have a *** ticker so this is not a good environment for us, not to mention our dogs. Were probably going to spend good money on a dog friendly hotel, wish us luck.

I purchased a Trane AC system in 2010. I have 2 units since I have 2 zone cooling in my home. Five years after installation, the evaporator coils failed on BOTH units and were replaced under my Trane 10 year parts and labor warranty. Just this month, one of the replaced evaporator coils failed again (7 years after replacement). The Trane website states that evaporator coils should last 10 to 15 years. My lasted 5 years for both units and then 7 years for the replacement unit.I contacted Trane and they would not help me in any way since the 10 year warranty ended. I recently did research online and saw there were other complaints regarding Trane evaporator coil failures.Trane no longer offers a 10 year LABOR warranty. They only offer 10 year parts and 1 year labor. Evaporator coil replacement labor can be pricey...I was lucky not to have to pay. If I would have had to pay labor on 3 replacements, it probably would have cost me almost as much as a new unit.Since I now will have to replace my unit, I plan to do alot of research to decide on a manufacturer that does not have alot of failures with their product.Trane AC was for my replacement units after my 18 year old Rheem units, which were installed when I built my home, finally needed to be replaced.DO YOUR RESEARCH CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU PURCHASE A TRANE AIR CONDITIONER.

Same as all the other reviews, new unit installed on 2018, leaking evaporator coil in 2021 and 2022. Spent over $1,000 in refrigerant and now their authorized dealer is asking for $3,500 just in labor to install the new part. Ridiculous, their customers relationship service is being giving me the run around for 4 weeks now. Complete trash company and products.

My wife and I back in December of 2020 decided to replace the existing AC system, which was reaching its life expectancy and we didnt want to have a problem with it in the middle of the summer. So we purchased a new Trane system on December 30th of 2020 for thousands of dollars. The evaporator coil developed a leak around September the 9th and needs to be replaced. A system that is 20 months old and is only used in the summer for AC should not develop leaks and require the customer to cover the labor to investigate and find the problem at a cost of $150.00 and then have to pay hundreds more for labor to replace the defective part. Trane should cover the cost of any repairs required while the product is in warranty including the labor. Ive already spent $150 plus $900 for window AC units in an attempt to be comfortable. Older people dont tolerate high temperatures and high humidity well. Im sure Ill have to pay hundreds more for the labor and whatever to have the coil replaced. I suggest that you shop around if your looking into an AC System.

I bought a Trane Heating and cooling systerm that was installed by a local heating and cooling company. I bought it because I had looked at the literature and it seemed like a good system. I purchased it in August 2020 ,and in good faith, thought it would be great and last for quite a while. I only few months in summer, not for winter. On July, 2022, I lost my cooling due to a leak in the coils. The heating company that installed it, came and fixed it because it burned the compressor. The company that I bought the system through will replace the compressor which is still under warranty, but will not pay for the coolant and service. So I paid $1400. Now, two months later, it happened again, the company told me, there was leaking and they are figuring where the leaking are. I paid thousands the 1st time but the problems keep going for only 2 years old product. I called the customer service but they AVOID their responsibility by moving me around with answers uh ... uh... I think Trane should either do some due diligence and find out why this is happening to a new unit. I read the numerous complaints about Trane and the defective coils I would think the company would do some damage control and improve their product. I for one will never recommend a Trane system to anyone. I should have stayed with the system that was installed before I chose Trane. What I want to know is HOW and WHO I can talk to fix my concern

I had a trane air conditioning unit installed under 4 years ago and now have paid more than $2000 in repairs . The one that is in the process is for a warranteed product that is nocost to me but the labor to install the part is $1400. If a part is bad in such a short time how do i know it wont break again and then i will have to pay for the defective part and labor. If a part is defective Trane should pay for the installation! **************** told me to shop around for cheaper installation ??

Like many others below, I have had a Trane ac unit for 3 years. It completely stopped working 4 days ago. The tech said the evaporator coil is leaking and all of the refrigerant leaked out. We have a 10 year warranty. But Trane said it would take 4-6 weeks to get the part. I live in *******. It is summer. It is 88 degrees in my house. I have kids. I have dogs. I have MS. *** they dont care. They should have to give new air handlers to customers that paid thousands to them. I should not have to suffer because of their failures. Never trust Trane. Clearly they made a faulty product and wont stand by it. If any lawyers are out there / this might be a good case for you.

Our home came with a 2017 new installed trane unit when we bought it in 2020 w/ 10 year parts warrenty which we transferred. Its now 2022 and its coil failed. When looking here it seems to be a common problem which seems ridiculous as the unit is only 5 years old and maintained. The next major problem is the parts specifically the bafolds are backordered so we cant even fix the unit and will be going on week 3 soon of no ac. This is ridiculous. I should not be expected to pay an absorbent amount in labor when it cant even be done in a timely manner thanks to the company who sells its own parts and doesnt even keep them in stock when it appears to be known problem with their units.
