The company took a $21,744.74 deposit for a steel building and has not honored the contract. Now no response from them. It was supposed to deliver and install a month ago on 4/15/25. I dont even have the blueprints yet that were promised to me. Please help me get my deposit back.Business Response

Good morning *****, I apologize for your frustrating experience. Viking is an independent dealer that sells Steel structures for several leading manufactures across *****************. Our role is to pair you with a manufacture that services your state and one we fell has good quality product and competitive pricing. Unfortunately *** is not holding up their part of their contact. We have no control as they are an independent company. Viking reaches out to them for updates after the deposit is made and the contact is signed. Anything you were told from Viking, we received from TOL. That being said, Viking will be refunding you back the deposit and the half payment you made. Ordered and paid required fees for steel building. Pulled permits and poured slab per Viking steel specs. Viking steel refuses absolutely refuses to scedule and install my shop. And if they even think for one second that I will give them 1 ***** until its 100% complete and checked then that will be our next issue so its best if I just do something else because we are at a impasse. I would like my money back because I dont want to deal with a company that has these business values. I can only imagine now what the product will turn out like, yikes! I tried repeatedly to get a supervisor or someone to call but they never do, its always I will have someone to reach out to you before the end of business day and that day still hasnt arrived. I want my money back or we can keep going like I told them. We can both can spend *****k on lawyers and what will that get us, nothing. Either do what your company said they will do which is build be shop or give me my deposit back, its real simple. The other way I explained will be real simple as well, I dont really care one way or another at this point, Im comfortably numb! Oh yeah dont below it says desired resolution I put finish the job, thats a little miss leading so let me clarify start and finish the job. Viking steel hasnt even started yet. They are just setting honey traps catching people on the internet with low prices then stringing them along until they get mad and do something else but then they keep the money and all they have to do is sign a contract but produce no product. I have reviewed Mr. ********* concerns. To be clear, Viking is the dealer who sells the product. We collect a percentage of the price of the order as a commission for the sale. The order is then sent to the manufacturer. Mr ********* transaction has gone absolutely according to procedure, timeline and protocol despite his claims.
Mr. ********* foundation was not ready until Nov. 22, 2024 which means his order was on hold until that point. This is standard procedure for every customer who orders a unit over $5000. Once his photos were submitted, his order was released for production. His order had been released for production for 2-1/2 business days prior to the Thanksgiving holiday. There is a 4-6 week lead time.
The customer has expressed frustration with not having a set delivery date at this time. We have advised that we cannot effectively schedule that far in advance due to weather potential, delays in other deliveries, availability of contractors, etc. Each of our manufacturers works hard to make sure that each scheduled delivery has the best success rate. While we understand the customer is anxious awaiting delivery, scheduling 5-6 weeks in advance is simply not feasible.
Although it is strictly against policy and outside the contract requirements, we have agreed to refund this customer his down payment and cancel his order. This is based on the interactions thus far with the customer and his admissions that he does not intend to pay based on the contract terms which are COD. We have notified the manufacturer of the cancellation as well. We feel this is the best course of action to avoid sending a contractor into a hostile work environment.

The date of transaction was 11-14-24 for $217.80. It was for a deposit for a carport to be erected on my property on 11-26-24. The construction crew failed to show up on said date and did not give me a call to reschedule. I did sign an agreement that I would pay a non-refundable deposit; however, I did my due diligence to make sure somebody was at my home to provide electricity for the crew. I disputed this at my bank and hopefully it will get resolved. I filing this complaint to make sure others don't get taken advantage of as I did.Business Response

Good morning ********, I apologize for you frustration. As mentioned in our phone conversation yesterday, the manufacturer had you on schedule yesterday. We called them to confirm and we were told you were the 5th stop and the crew was 2 stops ahead of you and they still had every intention on coming. We informed you of this information but you said to cancel the order , that you would go to ******* and purchase a structure, so per your request the appointment was cancelled. Again I do apologize but as I stated yesterday this is traveling construction and exact times are not given. My husband and I were in the process to put a garage on our property in *********. We put a deposit down on a building and were told if we were unable to receive the building for any reason we would receive a full refund. We have been dealing with our township for almost a year. Hired a lawyer but unfortunately the home we purchased has preserved wet lands and cannot build anything on the property because we are in breach of our buffer zone. We contacted the company to receive a refund, they told us to provide proof that our township will not allow us to put up the garage. We emailed them twice with the email showing proof from our zoning officer at our township. They refuse to answer our emails and when we call they say management will call back. We have contacted our credit card company and the company responds to them saying they havent received any proof. I entered into a contract to build a carport on my property for a 40’ Motorhome through Viking Steel Structures. I paid them a $1,400 deposit. They gave the contract to ******** ******** out of ***** ********. The initial contract was signed on 29 March 2023. In May a person, who I never met, said my lot wasn’t level enough for install. I then contracted a company, at a cost of $1,900, to level it professionally. After completing the leveling, the contractor told me that the lot was well within the 3 to 4” tolerance allowed but now it was perfect. It has been months and I haven’t even had a person back out to confirm the lot. I get excuse after excuse. Viking Steel Structures has my deposit and I have spent more money with no building. They are in breach of contract. All the contracts were docusign and are no longer viewable by me.Customer Answer

On April 19th their notes state your land was out of level therefore prevented the crews from installing the structure. They informed you that the site would have to be level before they could come back. Per their notes the next contact was made on 10/23 to let them know you were going to cancel your order. As stated in the contact you signed with us, the deposit is non refundable and in the terms and conditions you signed it stated the site must be level and clear, again, we do apologize the experience has been negative . The original indication by the individual who, which I never met, left a note that stated the site was not level. I then paid a company to come out and level the site. They stated, and are willing to testify, that the site was within 3”-4” before they started but now it was perfect. I have recorded conversations and emails between myself and Marybeth, a ******** ******** Representative, verifying that I tried for months to get the structure built and they would not come back out to do so. I finally contacted them and cancelled the contract. I respectfully request that my deposit be refunded. A complete failure to fulfill your contractural agreement renders the no refund policy null and void.
I have already had a carport erected by another company due to your failure to get that done. Please do the right thing and don’t steal my money after having not provided any services. Placing that stipulation in the contract implies premeditation to defraud me from the beginning.Business Response

You shouldn’t make a commitment to have a carport built if I pay you and then turn around and say you’re not responsible for making sure it’s built. You are a bunch of frauds and thieves. I will pray for your salvation and that, at some point in your life, you find a way to keep from going to hell for your sins.
You (Amy) have made several calls to my cell phone during my work hours. I have immediately called back and been sent to voicemail. Today I got someone else on the phone who said Amy was out of the office. I hope your not trying to make a show of trying to contact me. Your efforts have been lame.
At this point, showing you my conversations and emails with ******** ******** is not something you are “in control of” so I’m not going to waste my time. I have a beautiful carport that was erected in 3 week from my contract by a different company. That’s the way it’s done. It’s people and companies like you that are destroying this country. I served my country for 22 years and my community in law enforcement until I retired in 2016. I investigated a lot of companies like yours for fraud. I was once a proud American, now I’m embarrassed to claim my American status when I encounter those from other countries.
The funny thing is that in the end, you will not prosper. If I can keep one person from using your service, you will have lost far more than you stole from me. I will do my best to save the world from your fraud!

Our building was installed 11/10/2022. Both roll up doors were installed damaged, every piece of sheet metal with the exception of a few pieces on the front of the building, were scratched and or dented during the install. Every screw sank on our building pressed the metal in so much there are visible dents around the entire building and it looks awful. 11/17/2022 we sent pictures of the damage o our building and began awaiting repairs. Took us until December 28th to hear from anyone about the repairs and once again sent pictures of the damage. Once again did not receive any help or info on our repairs. Called every week until 01/25/2023 before we finally got a response and once again had to send pictures of our building. Today is 01/31/2023. Repair day. Now we’ve been informed it will be another month before we can have our repairs done. I was told it’s not Viking steel structures problem that I have a business to run and cannot do so until the repairs have been done since we need power and power voids the warranty. They won’t even give us the phone number of the contractor so we can try to get reimbursed for the damages. 3 months is a joke to have to wait on repairs. Built in a day and 3 months later hopefully it will be fixed. Apparently one crew is all they have for our area in Texas and the same guys that messed it up have to fix it. I don’t want them at my house again just want my money back for what it costs to repair he damages since these people clearly aren’t going to help with the damages.Business Response

My order for a carport was placed last July 2022. At that time Robert told me it would be delivered in about six (6) weeks. It has now been over twenty eight (28) weeks and still have no delivery date. This order was for slightly over $6300.00 with a $1000.00 deposit. every time I call they blame it on a company called "******** ********" which is a company that says they will check into it and call back, which they never did. I would like my deposit back as I thought this would be installed before this winter to cover equipment that has been sitting out in the weather ever since. I reached out to them in regards to your complaint and was informed the crew went out the first week of Jan and you were not home and would not answer the crews call. The manufacturer states they also tried calling you but you did not answer. The scheduler also tried texting you to let you know the crew was on site but the manufacturer did not receive a call or text back unil about 2 weeks later to let them know you had to change phone numbers due to you misplacing you phone. I have asked them to contact you or me to try to get you another schedule date. Please be sure to provide them or us with your contact information since you had it changed. I have no emails or text from eitherof you and you can not provide me or the Better Bossiness Bureau with a copy because they do not exist. I am a retired business man and always home so it is very easy to contact me, My phone is always with me and I check my emails every day. First time I called ******** ********, they said it would be delivered September, 2nd. time I was told it would be the week after Thanksgiving, then again before Christmas, then last time I was told the first week of January. All I want is the carport I ordered or return my cash deposit which I gave you in good faith.

In February of 2021 I started and signed a contract with Viking Steel Structures, I was told the building could be put on the ground so when I was ready I contacted Carolina car posts which is who Viking sub contracted with. They informed me that I could not do this on the ground. So I went ahead and paid a contractor 4,000 and had a base put on the ground. Then in February of 2022 they made me sign a whole new contract and asked for more money down. They attempted to have a crew come out in June to I stall the building. The crew showed up 3 days late I missed work due to this, then they showed up and proceeded to smoke marijuana on my property in front of me, my mom and two children. I contacted Viking about the behavior etc. The building was never installed, Juan with Viking Steel will not return emails of phone calls. We are now approaching 2023 and I am out $4243.58 I put down on this purchase as well as already had made the initial first month payment of $1065.00 whish is a total of $5308.58 I am out total. At this point i would like my money back, all of it as I have done everything possible to resolve this. The last time Juan felt he should talk to me was in June 2022 by email. It is now almost January I am beyond upset and feel this is very bad business. Viking steel should take responsibility for it's subcontractors and no one should be subject to people working with power tools etc while under the influence of drugs. I still have no building 2 years later. I just want my money back. I can provide all email correspondence if needed. I do not know how to upload emails. Everything I have is in email. Looking over the notes it appears that when the crew arrived to your location it was 20" out of level. As stated in the contract there is a return trip fee applied for issues like this This fee is applied by the manufacturer not Viking. I see you were financed with *********. They do require you to make the first months payment once the manufacture get you on schedule for install. I would recommend reaching out to them to let them know it was not installed due to land issues. As for the deposit you made , as the contact states is a non refundable deposit. I have called the manufacture and made aware to reach out to you regarding the install of your unit. VSS has not control in the scheduling process and as you pointed out they do use independent contractors . As stated in the terms and conditions if you site is out of level which may prevent the contractors from being able to install the structure, additional fees will apply. As you will see, The contract you signed with ********* states the first months payment is due upon scheduling. It is the customers responsibility to ensure their site is level and prepared for the installation before accepting an install date. I ordered a carport from Viking steel structures on July 26,2022. I told Robert I was having a new concrete slab poured and he told me what size it should be, one foot longer and wider on all four sides and it should be level within a few inches, so I had that done last August I have called numerous times always getting a recording or told the person who does the orders for Kentucky is off that day. It has been over three months and my calls have never been returned. Today I found out that ******** ******** is a SUB-contractor not owned by Viking so, I called them. I finely got a live person to speak to t and find out they haven't even started to fabricate it yet and it may be as late as March 2003 before its delivered Three and a half months have gone buy and today, they ask if I ever sent in pictures of the site, I was never asked to do so. Robert didn't think I needed to because it was going on a new slab. Viking is ether too busy to handle their workload or very incompetent, very poor customer service and no communication with me at all. I only wish I had read their reviews before placing my order, there are lots of unhappy people.Business Response

We moved into our home with our barn last December. Since then our steel structure has leaked and we have repeatedly requested them to come fix it. Because of this our builder has held final payment. Someone finally showed up yesterday to inform us the structure was poorly installed which was obvious. I am waiting to see the outcome of this. We have had repeated issues with them from the very beginning and it is ridiculous we do not have a sound structure to this day. I am considering small claims court if this is not remedied soon because I will have to pay someone else to come fix it if they continue to ignore us. We will be more than happy to pay our final payment to them once we have our shop fixed and not just someone that comes to silicone it and put a bandaid on it. This isn’t small leaks. It’s an entire seam and on top of that the structure isn’t even square.Business Response
