    I have been charged without notice for over a year now from Legal Templates. The very "sneaky" part about them is I was not notified every time I was charged. I've attached a screenshot stating that the subscription was cancelled by myself on June 4th, 2021 which is attached below. I am expecting a refund of $639.20.

    Thank you for taking the time to send us the cancellation screenshot.

    However, our Fraud Department concluded the investigation and it appears your screenshot is fabricated and do not match the records in our backend.


    Regarding our email records, if the cancellation was made before the 7-day trial ended, the cancellation receipt should state: "You have successfully canceled your Trial Subscription" (see screenshot attached for a valid trial cancellation receipt).


    It says, however, on the screenshot that you attached, that "you have successfully canceled your Monthly Membership."


    There will not be any refunds hence the information presented does not match our records.

    I am more then ready to forward you the email, or send a video, or for you to be on a zoom call with me and view the email, but the email is not “fabricated”. You guys just don’t want to refund me fairly, and I will take this to court if I need to.

    On August 31, 2022, I reviewed my ***** ***** Credit Card statement and found I was being billed $39.95 since Jan 31, 2022. On Jan 31st, I signed up for the free trial offered by Legal Templates, printed out the one template I needed (the loan agreement in screenshot below, and canceled the service in the Account Settings section of the Legal Templates Dashboard ON THE SAME DAY. I did not think about it after that day, and due to health issues, had not been reviewing my credit card statements as I normally do. They have been billing my account since January and after reading all of the other reviews, it is clear they do not observe the free trial cancelations within their own dashboard.

    According to our admin, it shows you signed up for the free trial, and the trial auto-renewed to a monthly subscription based on our Terms and Agreement. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding but there was no cancellation made.

    I understand you are seeking a refund. Our CSR offered you a three-month refund over the phone on Fri, Sep 02 at 12:49:42 PM, but you declined and asked for all the months to be refunded. I do apologize but the maximum refund we can provide is for three months.


    As our last offer, we can only process a maxim refund for three months. Please let us know if you accept the offer so we can move forward.

    I signed up for a free 7 day trial on August 27th, 2022, I’m almost certain we canceled immediately. I’m very diligent about these things. We only signed up for it to save a document and come back to it an hour later, we did that—Never used the website again past that date, I’m sure the company can see that on their end that there was never any further activity. Fast forward to September 3rd, 2022 and I get a charge on my card for $38.95 around 7pm, I noticed it within 30 minutes— logged into the account and attempted to cancel again. I then sent an email to the company explaining that it was a mistake and we never intended to keep our account, only used it the day we got the trial and were sure we opted not to renew. I received a response back that basically I was out of luck because I chose to do the trial and it will automatically renew and I’ll be responsible for any charges. I then responded and let them know I had canceled within 30 minutes of being notified of the charges, and I also never received an email or warning stating that my trial was ending soon or that my account was still active. I’d really like to get this charge refunded, it doesn’t seem right that I have incurred this full price membership fee when we never even used the service again, and with no warning. My next step will be disputing with my credit card company if I don’t receive response from the company itself. Does not seem like really good practice to do business this way.

    When I signed up for the free trial I cancelled the account that same day within hours but for some reason it must have not gone through because I noticed that I was charged for the monthly subscription of $39.95 and for $1 after the seven days. When I saw the charge I went into my account and saw that it was still active and I went ahead and cancelled it again but it said that I could still use services for this next month so I wouldn't be getting my money. I figured that when I cancelled the first time that it would work so I didn't have to worry but cancelling within the seven days. Anyways I would like a refund because I don't have a use for this anymore and it's not fair that I was charged.

    On May 7, 2022 I signed up for a 7 day free trial on legaltemplates.com. I downloaded what I needed and canceled the service same day as I was not in need of anything additional.
    Needless to say after cancelation I didn’t think anything else of the service.
    Today July 15, 2022 I received a subscription charge of $39.95 from said company. I reached out and I’m not so many words they responded with “you signed a contract, read the terms and conditions and it has been 7 days.”
    Now, ANYTIME I sign up for a free trial I ALWAYS set alerts in my phone reminding me of the trial expiring so I know my choice to keep or cancel is near. I did not do so, as I canceled the SAME day! So, having put it out of my mind after canceling to see this charge was disturbing. I went back to my account and on June 15, 2022 there is also a charge of $39.95 for the service. That is $79.90 I should not have paid because of canceling the SAME day!!
    This is not how customers should be treated. You can see there is ZERO activity on the account since May 7th, as I received what I needed the opted out of the subscription.
    I am expecting a Full refund of my $79.90 as neither charge should have ever been made.

    I apologize if there was any misunderstanding about our subscription service. According to our records, the account was signed up for the trial plan.

    When the customer subscribed to our trial subscription, they accepted our terms of agreement which stated that they would be receiving our subscription services and that the trial would auto-renew into a monthly subscription on a specific date. Our services are not a one-time purchase but an ongoing subscription. Customers could cancel any time during the trial period to prevent auto-renewal and avoid future charges.

    We informed Mr. **** *********** via email that we can only provide a complimentary refund of $39.95. Our records indicate that Mr. **** *********** accepted the refund of $39.95, which was processed. Please take a look at the attached email correspondence in a PDF file.

    I signed up for a free seven day trial I canceled my seven day trial on the seventh day and they still charged me $38.95. I called and they told me that there's nothing that I could do because I canceled the free trial five hours too late they said
