I purchased an enclosed trailer from Leonard’s last year as I was going to move from ** to **. During the moving process I lost the Certificate of Origin. When I realized the paperwork was lost I called Leonard’s t request a replacement. They said no problem, I paid the $200 fee and they said it would take about a month. This was back in August-September of 2022, we are now in April of 2023 and I still have not received the replacement. I have called numerous times and all they say is they will call me back and they never do. I have not been able to register the trailer with the ** DMV because I don’t have the certificate. Im still making my payments on a trailer that I cannot use. I need the certificate asap. If I am charged fees for the late registration I will hold Leonard’s accountable. I know I’m the one that lost the certificate, but I have done every you asked for in a timely manner to get a replacement and you have not held up your end of getting it to me in “about a month” (7 months later now and still have not received anything). I think I have been more than patient with this company and I also request that they overnight the certificate free of charge.

Winston Location. I bought a new dump trailer from them 2 months ago. I told them I was purchasing a truck for my farm and didn’t want any hits on my credit but needed a trailer. Michael said RTO was the same as financing but didn’t do credit check, just more expensive monthly. I signed up in 20 minutes and he knew I had planned on paying it off the next month after we closed on the truck. Michael said no worries, there wasn't a prepayment penalty. I was given my sales receipt and said they would send me a tag. Shame on me for not reading the fine print on their computer...I've bought multiple items from them before and trusted Michael.

The finance price of $9,332.18 that all of my Leonards paperwork reflects is now a payoff of $14,567.38, 30 DAYS LATER. The bank told me that they felt bad that Leonards lied to me but they can’t reduce the payoff. When I called store Michael said he thought it worked the same as a bank loan and didn’t know that there was a prepayment penalty. Come to find out you have to pay 60% of the entire contracted amount to buy out of the trailer. Not the $9k my sales "finance" receipt says from Leonards.

The dump trailer didn't work properly and I had to manually unload 6,000lbs of wood the first time I used it. They didn't check the hydraulic fluid before they sent it home with me. They had to run to the parts store to pick more up when I brought it back and told them it wasn't working.

All of my statements have pictures and documentation to support. Leonards has not reached out to try to make this right and my calls have gone unreturned.

Attached you will find the original contract and a screenshot of the section of our agreement that discloses the discrepancy the customer is referencing. This was communicated to the customer at the time of purchase and during conversation directly with the store.

I am rejecting this response because:

This is exactly what DIDN'T happen.  Michael didn't give me a copy of the agreement or review it with me.  He said all that I needed was my Leonards receipt and thats all he gave me.

I could have written a check for the full amount and Michael knew this.  There hasn't been one attempt from any Leonard's representative to contact me and try to make this right.  The several times I've initiated calls to the store and spoke with Michael he apologized profusely, promised to call the bank and make it right and never called me back.

This is dishonest and they should be ashamed in their response.  Now I won't be able to afford to pay for the trailer.

I purchased a 10 X 12 utility building from Leonard Buildings in ********* on Dec 29, 2022 for about $4,000. They delivered it to my home, and once it was set up, I noticed the two doors which they had specially built for it would not open all the way. They had installed full length hinges on both doors where the doors meet the building frame, and when opened from fully closed to the 90 degree open position, the hinged side of the door jammed into the building and began to stress the hinges. If the door were to continue to open to, say, the 120 degree position, the hinges would be ripped away from the doors (even a slight wind would do this easily as the hinges were only attached to the doors and building frame by short #8 sheet metal screws). Add to this the facts that at least 6 of the #8 hinge screws were stripped out on installation and I could undo them with my fingers, and that a peg board that was on the order was never installed nor has ever been seen, and you have very sub-par workmanship. I called the people in ***** ***** ** (Leonard Corporate Headquarters, who had built the building) twice for help, and both times they referred me to the ****** business without offering to help. After more calls to ****** and trips over there, a person finally came out, took pictures of the building, said they would contact ***** **** and that they would get back to me. That was a few weeks ago and I have not heard anything more. If these doors cannot be stabilized, the building is almost worthless, especially in even a slight wind. The biggest problem is that it houses my standby home generator which cannot be run in a closed building for a number of safety reasons, and the doors can not stand open in any kind of weather. Also, in April of 2020, I bought a 10 foot Utility trailer from the ****** company and was having Gorilla Lifts installed on it at their facility. Something ran into it and bent the Jack-stand away from the frame at an acute angle. NO FIX!!

I purchased a cover for my new 2023 ***, came to the shop to install it and ask them to be able to stand and see how they will do the work. My vehicle is $86, 000.00 and I was trying to make sure nobody scratches it. Plus, it wasn't the mechanical work, so vehicle doesn't have to be lifted or etc. They refuse to install the cover with me being present. So I decided to cancel the appointment and do it at some other place, and since the box with the cover that I order was not even opened I asked them for the full refund. They refuse to refund in full and charge me 20% of restocking fee. I would like to have a full refund because: 1. the box was not even opened 2. they do not complete the work because they were not comfortable of someone looking at them 3. their website didn't mention the restocking fee in the order of the return of unopen item.

Per our dirstrict Manager: ****** showed up to have his special order Retrax installed.  We pulled the truck into the shop and the customer followed before we could close the  door.  We asked him to leave as this was unsafe, but he would only go to the threshold of the garage door preventing us from closing it.  It was approx. 30 degrees  so we suggested that he go inside to the waiting room and he refused.  When then explained that we needed to close the door and have him leave the shop so we could perform the installation without interruption.  We also did not want to add any additional safety issues.  He replied that he was not going to leave his truck so we explained again the reasons why he needed to leave the area.  He got upset and said he was going to cancel his order.  At that time Joe told him about the 20% restocking fee and he responded that he didn’t care.  He then got in his truck and left.  Joe did a return and we got the process started immediately on the refund which included the 20% restocking fee charge.  He called back a few weeks later asking why he wasn’t getting the full amount and we told him that this was a special order and it’s on the receipt. Due to the custom nature of the order we re-explained to the customer, which was not met with acceptance.
