Personal Loan Account (*********2)
State employees credit union continues to report a charge off on my credit report that happened 8 years ago now. I lost my job in 2014 and there was a death in the family. I contacted the bank and many representatives in order to work out an arrangement due to my circumstance and they would not work with me. They shut down all my accounts in 2015 and I was never able to continue to pay on my personal loan. This continues to report to the credit bureaus and they continue to add something that is now 8 years old almost 9 years old at this point. Negative times are suppose to drop after 7 years. Before the pandemic I called and asked if I could settle the account. They said they do not settle they want the payment in full which I could not afford. Fast forward to 2020 the pandemic occurred and not only did I lose my job but my mother needs financing for a major surgery. She is losing her vision and I can not assist her. Everything is a huge burden.
I'm trying to pick up odd jobs so that I can get financing for my moms surgery and this item is the reason that I can not get my moms surgery. This bank has ruined my credit for years. I'm asking that this item is deleted as a courtesy. I have not been able to get any financing anywhere for almost 9 years now.
When I spoke to state employees they did not care about my situation and would not work with me. The balance is $2,657. My moms surgery will be $2,000. I don't have the funds to give state employees. I'm working part time, receiving rental assistance and barely have enough money to eat. Please remove this item as it has been 8 years now. I believe state employees wrote this item off 5 years ago and i no longer can do any business with them. Its not right to make people suffer for 7,8,9 years.
When I login there is a zero balance which means this has been written off but they are continuing to ruin my credit and make me suffer personally.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I would like for them to acknowledge and do something about the issue and resolve it. They are only stating they will be in contact but they are not doing anything. Can they please resolve this issue through the better business bureau. They are not saying anything and I have not heard from anyone. They just recently reported an item that is almost 9 years old to my credit report and the statue of limitations is 7 years.
Sincerely,

This started on Aug. 12th. I use NCSECU for billpay to pay my invoices, have been doing so for years. Had a check returned to NCSECU from ***s stating account unknown. Tried to get resolved by both parties. Same thing happened when re transmitted payment.. after many calls and messaging, I was going to delete this payee on NCSECU site and re-install that's when noticed my account number on their site was incorrect. I DID NOT MAKE THESE CHANGES, in fact never been to their manage payees site before. They are now telling me I did. I'm afraid my account has been compromised and NCSECU is basically ignoring this matter. I know they have payment records showing my account numbers and I imagine also records of changes that I made. Not proving this to me. I will also notify State attorney general's office to warn of this security breach.Business Response

Better Business Bureau:
After thoroughly examining these accounts, my notification from NCSECU was that ***s rejected payment as account not known. I looked into the account information on file and it was not my account number but also found an address change. So instead of account not found was sent to wrong address. I have updated both on my end in hopes that this will correct this problem. Hopefully billing with be correct in future, but no thanks to any effort made by NCSECU.
Sincerely,

Date of Transaction: 08/26/2022 (at Closing attorney's Office)
Amount of Mortgage Origination Fee paid at Closing: $2,500.00
Estimated Loan Period: August 26, 2022 through September 15, 2022.
Rationale for refund of closing fee are twofold:
A. SECU Mortgage provided inadequate loan options to ******* * **** ****** for a 17 day loan. This was explained to us by the Loan Officer at the **** Rd. location on 08/25/2022 (the day before our actual close.)
B. SECU Loan officer would not allow us to borrow (from *******'s parents) money to pay off the balance of an anticipated loan. SECU Loan Officer said this was against the law and that I would my parents would need to send a letter basically stating that they were gifting $320,000 to us. This was a downright lie that the SECU loan officer requested us to persue. Subsequently, our closing attorney stated that they would have provided a work around in order to pay cash - and that SECU would never have needed to be involved.
In both cases, I relied on the expertise of the SECU staff and our closing attorney feels that we were given incorrect advice.
Again, it is our intention to pay the loan off by September 15, 2022 and do not believe that it is fair for SECU to charge us $2,500 + 4.2% interest to pay for a two week loan.
Please see attached document which lays out the steps which I took in regards to obtaining a loan for the purchase of a new house and in so many cases - SECU should have done the right thing and guided me properly.Business Response

I am rejecting this response contingent on hearing back from SECU Management (as outlined in their response. If SECU waives (and refunds) the origination fee - as per our original request - we will be satisfied with the outcome. At this point, SECU staff have only stated "that they will investigate and subsequently respond directly to me."

Informed business multiple times by phone as well as CUSTOMER CALL SERVICES (1-800) of security breach of checking account valued at $98.00 one day after (7-22-2022) actual breach, to request a refund to my account. Always told by ALL that investigation would be made and refund would be credited to my account since I had answered all necessary security questions needed to show my identity, and that I needed only to look for receipt of $98.00 returned to my account between 7-10 business days. That was over 30 days ago !!Business Response

I checked my credit report and noticed I had late payments from STATE EMPLOYEES CRED U . At the time, I was transitioning between jobs and going through an economic hardship. As you can see, I have made most of my payments on time so I am asking in goodwill faith for this one time to please remove these late payments from my account. I am trying to increase my score to qualify for a mortgage and I would greatly appreciate if you guys would forgive the late payments.Business Response

On 7- 2-2022 i filed a dispute through my bank regarding fraud. I initially contacted them on 6-29-2022 when i noticed charges to my account from cash app. I spoke with a representative multiple times and she stated i have to wait until the charges are posted. So i called back and someone advised me to call Saturday . So i called to file my dispute providing them with what took place (On 6-21-2022 i Received a phone call from a representative stating their with cash app and that’s how it showed on my call log. The representative stated there were something fraudulent going on with my account and they had it on investigation( a charge for $350). The rep asked to verify my information and sent me a link. The rep proceeded to tell me not to utilize my card while it’s under investigation and they gave me a confirmation code for cancellation (ct-******). Following that call on June 29 my account was hacked for multiple amounts while i was sleep. When i woke up to use the bathroom i noticed a request for $288 from a person i don’t know so i canceled the request and blocked the person. I removed my debit card and bank account information and proceeded to contact cashapp via in app message since they were closed. I checked my email and noticed that at 11:38pm my email was removed and the person proceeded to send multiple amounts ($200 @ 12:12am: $250 @ 12:52am: $100 @ 2am: $75 @ 2:55am). I then received a notification that my phone number was removed and the name was changed from my user name to my deceased mothers name. So i called cashapp on multiple occasions and they didn’t do anything about it and i tried to send screenshots but they didn’t allow me too. So i contacted my bank and received a response. I wasn’t pleased with their response so my brother contacted the ******* card services and a representative advised me to file a police report [2022-0721-233] in which i did. I called back today and the representative was talking over me and i asked for a manager.Business Response
