I have been getting denial after denial on housing applications. Genuine Data Services noted from my background check within in my rental report that I have a felony charge (pending) from 6/18/2018. This is verifiably false, and has cost me about $2,000 in application fees, & administrative fees, & I am now on the verge of homelessness, & have tapped out all of my savings trying to rehome myself. I make too much for government assistance, & nobody wants to lease to someone they believe is a criminal. They are delivering false information that has negatively impacted my life costs, & my ability to have a roof over my head. Never been a problem before now. I work in nursing & have went through the entire federal background check process for my employment, I wouldn't be allowed to perform in my position as a felon. They need to be investigated. Intentional or not, it has directly impacted my ability to maintain a home, & I can verify through the *******, ******** courts that I have no pending felony or misdemeanor charges. I am supposed to be out of my apartment in less than 3 days. Nowhere will let me rent. This needs fixed immediately.Business Response

On 10/29 the apartments i applied to requested a background screening from real page and real page requested information From genuine data llc upon reviewing my screening i seen that a expunged record showed up which is unlawful i have also read many of your responses to comments stating you get information in bulk and from public record but my expungement is not available to the public i have contacted real page to file a dispute and my attorney has also emailed you my expungement paperwork to get it deleted out your system ASAP i would like for one of your team members to contact me with the email i have provided to make sure this is done with paper work proving that it was updatedBusiness Response

My criminal history was request by an apartment complex who uses Realpage and they received information from Genuine data services LLC stating that I have an assault second degree charge in which I do not. This case was dismissed and expunged/sealed over a year ago. Ive reached out numerous times and still this error on their end is not resolved.Business Response

This company was listed as a vendor record source on a report prepared by a background check company for a rental application, which was denied due to inaccurate information provided by their records source - this company. Basically they provided expunged records that no longer exist, but was reported as pending on the report. I applied for a home. The property management requires a background screening which was conducted by Genuine Data Services. The information provided to the property management company is inaccurate and has defamed my character and name. As you can see on the first page of the report you attached to this complaint, it was created by RP On-Site LLC. We did not prepare a report about you. If you have a concern about information on this report about you, please contact RP On-Site. Its contact information is also listed on the first page of the report you attached. It is the only company who can correct or update your report. Genuine Data Services obtains and furnishes raw public records data in bulk to consumer reporting agencies like RP On-Site, LLC who prepare consumer reports. According to the report, we provided the raw data from the Harris County court to RP On-Site at some point in the past. That means that we obtained a bulk file from the Harris County court of all records in its public records index. I do not know when last we provided that file or if RP On-Site or if RP On-Site made any attempt to update the report since last we provided the bulk file to it. Despite our not being able to update the RP On-Site report, we can make sure that if we ever provide a Harris County file to RP On-Site again, that your record is updated with the dismissal.
