I contacted *** over two weeks ago to sign up for residential garbage removal service. I paid for services in advance. Since then, I have still not received a garbage can nor have had any garbage removal services provided. I have contacted *** several times to remind them of this. I was told to put trash on the street and it would be picked up the next day. This did not happen. I called again and was told again the trash would be picked up the next day. This once again did not happen. I called the day trash was to be picked up, and was told to be patient and the trash would be picked up by the end of the day. It was not. I would like a garbage can to be dropped off at my property and would like a refund for the two weeks of services that were not provided.Business Response

We are paying for trash service and these guys have missed our trash since June 23rd. Its July 9th and I havent had my trash picked up fro two weeks despite all other neighbors having had theirs removed. I have made many calls to the customer service with no help. They have no remorse and keep saying they will send someone tomorrow. Its almost 3 weeks that they have caused unsanitary conditions around my house. There are many bugs and 3 weeks old trash around our containers with no help from this company.Business Response

I moved into this house recently and have been working for a bit to find how to set up my trash disposal services, as I've not only been producing garbage from food/drinks, but also have large amounts of packing materials (bubble wrap, tape, etc.) that have bulked up my garbage. From what I've researched, GFL seems to be my only provider available (GFL is what my neighbors use, as well -- we share an easement on the road).I called GFL on Wednesday 2 July to set up service. They said my collection day is on Wednesday, so for obvious reasons, my service has to start the next week. That makes perfect sense. They also told me that they only pick up GFL bins, and that they would drop me off bins by 19:00 on Tuesday (the day before my garbage pickup day). They required pre-payment for 3 months,They did not deliver my bins to me. I tried calling around 14:30 because I was paranoid that this was going to happen, and the representative assured me that the operations team has until 19:00, and that their customer service hours are only until 17:00. Indeed, after 17:00 they don't answer the phone, and they did not bring me bins.They've charged me now for a week of collection which they have refused to provide (by not giving me their necessary proprietary garbage cans) and hampered my ability to use the service in the future, since they're forcing me to accumulate at least one extra week of trash before I can get mine ************ the very least, I need the bins delivered. I also want a refund for a quarter of the month since they've decided to not provide service for the first week.I can't enter a disputed amount because although they gave me an account number last week, I can't link my account in their online portal.Business Response

The residents of ************************ as well as other communities nearby were not notified of any changes to trash collection date. On the website it says that no trash collection will take place on the 4th of July. According to their holiday trash collection schedule. Everyone put their trash out the following day. Only to find out this Monday morning that it was picked up on the 4th of July. We were told we have to wait until our normal pickup day of Friday for pickup. But another subdivision nearby ******************* was told that a special pickup will be done for them. This is being discussed across all neighborhood apps and everyone is saying the same thing. Have been in contact with GFL numerous times over the last 2-months regarding billing charges. Was told not to pay until sorted out and got in contact with. Have been turned over to debt collector for not paying what I was told not to pay by *** customer service (paid the $72.00 anyways on 07/01/2025 so it wouldn't go to debt collection while waiting for GFL to straighten out). Had account with ********* which GFL bought out that covered ****** *** and ****. ********* hadn't picked up trash for 3-weeks end of March and beginning of April. So I opened account with *** in April before finding out they had bought account from *********. Paid for a month of trash pick up through GFL for April to get trash picked up. Ended up with 2-accounts through GFL. GFL is now charging 3-month pick up for ****, July and August. April and **** have now been paid for twice, once through ********* and once through GFL. *** owes me credit for double payment in both months April and ****. $30.00 paid through *** for April that was already paid for through ********* which they purchased account and additional $24.00 for **** also being paid for once through ********* and now through GFL. I would like the $54.00 refunded or credited to my account.Business Response

This service was canceled March 12th as a result of consistent non pick up of trash. I have had to call repeatedly to have trash picked up. It has been erratic at best. Weeks when they would provide the service it would be a day early, a day late or so late in the afternoon I would think they weren't coming and remove the trash can. I paid for January, February and March in December 9, 2024 Check # **** I was instructed to leave the trash can (full) beside the road and they would come pick it up. Our ************* through our city utilities (**************, **) is GFL environmental. They are extremely flaky about picking up our trash on time and if we dont basically leave our trash cans sitting in the road they want even take 2 steps to empty them. At this point, our trash has been sitting in the road for over 2 weeks and they still havent picked it up. We have called our city everyday for a week. They have said they have contacted management and have received no response. I would like my trash picked up ASAP. Both of my trash cans are full and there are bags sitting beside it because there is nowhere else to put it!Business Response

On 6/19/2025, our trash can were not picked up. We left them outside in the event that they ****'t collected due to the holiday. The entire neighborhood didn't get service. We called on Monday, June 23rd to determine if there was an issue with pickup and were told that Thursday was not a holiday for them and perhaps we didn't put our trash out in time. I explained that we put our trash out the night before every week and the entire neighborhood was still waiting for a pickup. The lady (T) stated she would call me back after she emailed Operations. Fast forward to Thursday, 6/2/25, GFL still did not pick up our trash cans. The entire neighborhood still has two weeks of trash outside. I call again and was told the same thing. I called back an hour later because I still hadn't heard back and was given the run around. I called the corporate office where Sheqouia (not sure how to spell her name) had a horrible attitude and eventually told me that she wasn't asking me or my husband all of these questions for her health. I was literally floored by he comment. I assumed she was asking me these questions for the job that she has to pay her bills. We paid our $180 bill on May 27, 2025. We pay it on autopay so they are never missing their payment, so I'm not understanding why there is a lack of service and employees unaware of what is going on.Business Response

I just moved into my home 5/2/2025. Previous owner had 3 GFL reach bins. I have been calling for over a month now to have additional trash bins removed from my property. Today 6/27/2025 they are still here. I have called 5 times and was assured that they would be picked up on my schedule trash day. One time the *** said they were short staffed and behind. I have been patient but this is ridiculous. I paid 150 upfront for poor service. Today I even called to speak with a supervisor about the issue and was hung up on. At this point I just want a refund and to discontinue service with this company. Neighbors have warned that they give poor service.Business Response
