Transaction started approx. May 2022, I had residential sanitation service agreement with GFL Environmental, PH:************, ************ TN for $12/month, to pay $36 per quarter. I made mistake by paying them $36/mo and ended-up due a credit of $132. I have been trying to collect my refund for approx. the last nine weeks. I spoke with a Customer Service Red, ********* in their corporate office, PH:************ on 08.02.2022 at 12.13PM CST and in that conversation he tells me it will be another 8-12 weeks before they issue my refund. I find this unacceptable. It is not feisable for to hire my attorney for this dollar amount, or I would do just that. This refund of $132 was requested by GFL Environ. local office to the Corporate Office May 25, 2022.

I am supposed to have my recycling picked up every 2 weeks. I have not been picked up in 6 weeks. When I call in, I am offered a credit. This is not a solution. Of course I should not pay for a service that I have not received. I need my recycling picked up! I have requested a supervisor call me and this is yet to happen. 2 weeks ago I was promised that it would be picked up the following day. There is no record of that conversation in the system. No one can tell me why I have not been picked up. I have a large pile in my garage that I haul out to no avail. I want a plan going forward for my recycling to be picked up on time. I want to talk to someone in upper management. The customer service reps ***** management, but no one ever addresses and returns my calls. The issue has not been fixed. Gfl called me today to see if it was picked upit was not. They said that they would RE-escalate the concerns. They said they did that last week. No one can tell me why this problem even exists. I am baffled by their lack of concern regarding 6 weeks of trash build up!

On Thursday, July 21, 2022, I came home from work and began pulling my trash container back to the garage (approximately 6:05pm); I noticed that it was heavier than normal. I opened the lid and there was a filled trash bag left inside. I was EXTREMELY upset!!The next day (July 22, 2022), I called GFL Environmental and the lady on the phone told me that there was nothing that they could do; it happens sometimes. That was not good customer service, and it did not resolve my issue. So I had no other choice, but to leave the trash bag inside the container. The next week (Thursday, July 28, 2022), I had more trash bags than my container could hold because I had the trash bag from last week. I set the one trash bag to the side of the trash container. I thought that they would get it being that they did not collect all of my trash the previous week, but they did not get it. They left the trash bag on the side. It was not my fault that they didnt do their job the previous week, so they shouldve taken the bag. With that said, I had to, once again, keep a trash bag in the container for 2 whole weeks!!!Today (August 4, 2022) I walked up to my trash container and noticed a bunch of maggots inside and around it!!! I was very upset!!! I had to run and try to find things to kill the maggots; I never had maggots around my trash before!!! I know that it came from keeping trash for longer than a week. This company expect their payments from me, but they do not want to do what theyre supposed to do! You have two people to a truck every time that I see them; the guy on the back should be checking to make sure that NO trash is left behind! I am very upset and something needs to be done!!!!The attached photo shows the maggots in the trash container I have another photo of the maggots in my garage around the area of the container if needed. I received a postcard back in May letting me know that my my recycling day would be changing effective June 6 which was on a Monday my recycling was put out on June 5th and stayed the entire week i also called on the 6th to confirm and the rep said yes it was never picked up so i called GFL back on Wednesday and spoke with a Rep who then said no your days will remain on Wednesday and that it would be picked up the following week i proceeded to ask why did i receive the postcard and phone call reminding me to put out for the 6th she said that was in error I then asked to speak with a supervisor she said someone would call me back in 24-48 hours. I called the entire month of June each time being told my services would be picked up the next week, each time i called i asked to be connected with a supervisor and each time was told it would be 24-48 hours and someone would call me back still no call back at all in June. Moving to July still no recycling pick up no return calls from no supervisor waiting on hold from 45mins to over an hour to be told someone would pick up my recycling and a supervisor would call me back no pickup at all in July. We are now in August still no pickup and no one answers the phone at GFL even after sitting on hold 1 hr i called today with no answer. I refuse to pay a bill for services not rendered. Something has to be done about this if we don't pay the bill they quick to come get the trash or recycling bins but not quick to pickup what we're paying for. This is suppose to be their business so they need to do what they are being paid to do, we don't want any animals in the trash or recycling bins not picking this stuff up is what it will cause. I sold my house at **************************************************************** on April 6th. I have been trying to cancel my service for weeks. Nobody has responded to my multiple online requests and nobody answers the phone. I have spent hours on hold. They continue to charge me for services when I don't even live in the state anymore. I have had enough. I have been a customer for years. Previously I have put up with a multitude of service issues in the winter but this is the end.Last week none of the trash in the community was picked up. Calls to the office lead to endless waits so that most people gave up; My neighbor finally got through and was told that the driver indicated that the trash was picked up in the community. That was a big, hairy lie. Then we were told that it would be picked up this week. Yesterday was pickup day but the driver never came. There is a bear that walks around our community tearing up the garbage. I bungee my trash at night to keep it away. At the end of the day I bungeed my can filled with 2 weeks trash. This morning the driver came at 6:45 a.m. and, not expecting him, I hadn't taken the bungees off. I was only in my robe but ran out to my car and chased him to the end of my community. I told him he had to get my trash. He sat there insolently smoking a cigarette in the cab. He said the bungees have to be off at 6 a.m. I said provided we know he is going to deign to come that day. I believed that he agreed to revisit my can but really we know better than that. So now I have 2 weeks worth of trash in an ant filled can.I am making arrangements to have another company pick up my trash. Thank you for reaching out to Gfl. I do apologies that you have not had your trash serviced . After reviewing the account the driver did state the bungees were on the cans . I completely understand the issue with the bears in the area and i understand the frustration. Unfortunately the bungees must be off the cans before the driver gets there to service . It is a safety issue to have driver get out of there trucks . I do see since this request we have closed your account and the request to have the cans removed i will make sure they are aware there maybe trash in the cans since the issue with service . I am rejecting this response because: Driver comes irregularly. He came on a day that was not regular and at 6 a.m. The previous week he had not come at all although he reported that the entire community was serviced and he LIED because no one in the community had their trash picked up. I am actually not looking for satisfaction from your response. I have no faith in your integrity. As you stated, I have moved on to another company and will actively recommend that my neighbors do so also. YOU CHOOSE to keep this lazy, lying ***** in your employ.

I have been with this company for years, and all of a sudden they stop picking up my trash, this happen just before the 4th of July Holiday. All calls are place on hold, and no one will pick up to answer questions.So I have called them so many times it's not funny, I even e-mail them, and the company will not take call or my e-mail complaints. I looked on channel 2 new and saw I was not the only one having problems with this company just about the whole ****************** Resident have not had they trash picked ** in over a month as well. I pay this company $80.90 for their service which I have not be getting. I'm 100% disable and unable to take the trash to the dumps. I am rejecting this response because: I have never stop the service with this company, so when did this happen? My service stopped after July 4th, 2022. So when did this company tell me that i no longer had service with them and why? I never even got a letter in the mail about my service from them. They want even answer the phones when i was calling, and i have been calling for 4 weeks and e-mailing them as well. I still have an account on their web sight, and that the way i filled all my complaints, and they still to this day have not answer them. If there was a problem with my account then this company should have told me, and put it in writing, and i would have taken care of it.

I am rejecting this response because: I have not gotten a bill from this Company can they show me the bill in which they are talking about? I''m the only one here to pay the bill and i know i did not receive a bill from that company. i will not pay again for an account that should be active, that is throwing away money for no reason because of the company mistake not mine. Show me the bill that was sent to my house, because i do not have it. And you didn't send out a letter telling me that my service will be suspended or cancel if i was behind on the bill. Then that's your billing department fault and not mine.I want the original bill and not the copy since i didn't get it, so it had to go back to the company.Your company should reactivate my service as soon as possible, because i might have missed a payment. NOT GOOD BUSINESS, about your unfair practices to elderly and disable, and fix income you will see how it feel when you get there one day, you will walk in my shoes, if you can. My trash in building up and it need to go to the dump sight ASAP.

GFL Env has not picked up garbage in my area. My scheduled pick up is on Thursday of each week. August payment was made for services. I have made numerous attempts to reach the company by phone and email to no avail. No one answers the phone and emails get no response. This has become an environmental issue (as you can imagine a can full of stinky garbage in 90 degree temperatures). I am now having to pay $100 out of my pocket to have someone come haul my garbage to the local landfill.Business Response

I signed up with GFL Environmental in **** ****************** ** on April 28th, 2022. I paid $111.67 for 3 months of residential trash pick up. They delivered the trash can on approximately May 3rd, 2022 and did their first pick up on May 9th, 2022. Pick up for my neighborhood is on Mondays. Between May 9th and today (August 3rd, 2022) I had to call them for non-pickup 7 of those weeks. Out of those 7 weeks, 2 of those weeks resulted in no pick up that week at all. For some of those weeks, I had to call multiple times that week before it was picked up. My trash was not picked up this past Monday (August 1st). I have tried to reach out to the company, but their phone number *************) is now not working and gives me a busy type signal after ringing once or twice.Business Response

We had both residential trash collection and recycling service with GFL. Over the past few months, there have been multiple missed pickups and it is very difficult to reach the company regarding these issues. I submitted an online request through their website on 6/20/2022 to have our services cancelled, after multiple failed attempts to reach them by phone. I did not receive a response and emailed the company on 6/27/2022. They did email me back and we worked out that 7/4/2022 would be the final collection and that the cans would be picked up withing 7-10 days after that. I sent another email to them on 7/15/2022 asking when the containers would be picked up and heard nothing. I was able to get a hold of them on the phone after 30+ minutes on hold on 7/25/2022. They informed me that they had equipment issues, but that the containers were scheduled to be picked up on 8/1/2022. It is now 8/3/2022 and they still have not collected the containers. My service has been cancelled as requested, but I would really like the containers to be collected.Business Response
