I made an order through gfl for trash services on 7/11/22. In the amount of $123.37. I was given a time frame of 7-10 business days to receive a trash can with the service of picking up trash bags of up to 10 regular trash bags until my van arrives. My boyfriend & I have waved down the garbage truck multiple times. And to no avail nothing has been picked up. Leaving trash at my street curb to be eaten by animals in the neighborhood. Also causing issues with my HOA. I’ve called to complain & emailed about canceling services in order to get a FULL REFUND due to no services rendered & such unprofessionalism to handle the issue. So there for I’m reporting the company to bbb due to no service rendered or refund. I have tried for over a month to discontinue my service. There is no option on the GFL website (www.gflenv.com) to discontinue service. I have called the local branch (770-474-9273) multiple times and waited over an hour each time with no answer. Only automated response. I am currently calling the NC office number (919-325-3000) on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, 10:06 a.m. Same automated response.
Now, my credit card has been charged for another 3 months of service. I removed my credit card information from the GFL website in April 2022. I will be disputing the charge.Business Response

I am a current customer who is signed up for recycling pickup services with GFL Environ/Waste Industries. My recycling has not been picked up at all for the month of July (2022). When I contact GFLs customer service center, I am told that they will schedule pickup of my recycling for the next ***** business hours. However, my recycling is never picked up and not once am I given an explanation as to why it doesnt get picked up. Unfortunately, this isnt the first time that this has happened. It seems like almost every month we are dealing with a missed recycling pickup. Sometimes they end up picking it up after I call to report the missed pickup, but too often they dont come to get it. I have asked that a supervisor or manager from the ********************* contact me, and not once has anyone done so. If a service is being offered and a customer is paying for that service, the customer expects to receive exactly what it is that theyre paying for and in a timely manner. Currently, my recycling bin has been sitting at the curb for a week waiting to be emptied. Im tired of getting the run around. I just want GFL/Waste Industries to do their job.Business Response

I have had service with this company for the last 2 plus years. My trash services for *********** are paid for through my taxes and these people have collected money from me the last two years. The have also missed my trash pick up for the last three weeks July 12, July 18 and July 26th. My account not only needs to be paid back for the services I was NOT supposed to pay for and also my account is paid for by the city so I know longer should be billed account needs to be reflecting as a city of Stockbridge resident. No one answers the phone I've called for months and its just gives you hold music for over two hours and there's a sign on the office door in Stockbridge location that says customers aren't allowed in the building so you cant be serviced that way and you cant get anyone on the phone this is beyond ridiculousBusiness Response

As of Monday, 7/25/22, our recycling has not been picked up for two weeks. The blue bins are out all over the neighborhood. It is virtually impossible to get thru to GFL on the phone, and they still show a land line phone number in our account, that was disconnected two years ago ************* is disconnected). I am rejecting this response because: This "response" is merely a boilerplate note they have provided to every complaint filed with GFL. My statement is based on reviewing the BBB web site. GFL will take no further steps and will continue to do business as always, without respect to their agreement to pick up trash and recyclables in accordance with their PRINTED schedules. We deserve more responsive service, a help desk/customer service operation that actually WORKS, and billing credits applied automatically when they fail to honor their pick-up commitments.

Blue cans remain as a familiar scene throughout our entire community.PLEASE provide some method of customer communication so we are at least made aware of schedule interruptions. I opened my account with GFL on May 22, 2022. I was told my first pick up would be 5/29/22 and the bins would take up to 6 weeks to be delivered and in the mean time the men will pick up the bags up until 7/29/22. 5/29/22 comes i watch on my security camera as no one picks up my trash and they just drive past it twice! I call the company to complain the employee tells me they will reach out to the drivers and have them pick up the extra bag next week. Next week comes still not picked up, i call again i speak with CSR ****** he tells me my bins were delivered on 6/2/22 and they did not pick it up because it was not in the bins. I never received the bins he ordered a second set of bins for me. My trash was never picked up until 6/22/22. I call back again they tell me they will issue me a credit for the month not serviced, and the additional fee they charge for not being enrolled in paperless billing even though i was. Since 5/22/22 I have made 12 phone calls, 3 online inquires, and have asked to speak to a manager 4 times and not once has one called me back. I still have not received my credit. i verbally and in writing in my inquiry told them i would not pay them until my account was credit and reflected the correct billing amount, they then billed my bank for the amount without the credit being applied! I have even emailed the CEO of the company to advise him of what his company is doing and i still receive no response. I have spoken with Joy, Sam, ******, ****** among other employees, I even had one tell me to just pay them what she is telling me and they'll apply the credit after as if that's acceptable! ****** told me that if i had paid the correct amount i still would've been charged the overage until the credit went through! Trash is constantly late even though the trash is up at the curb the night before, have made several attempts to call GFL and no one answers the calls, I have left two messages with no replies back. I logging a complaint because this company has for the last two weeks has not picked up our garbage on the pickup day. Which is every Friday. This has happened several times. As of January 2022, County Waste was bought out by GFL Environment. No one told me. I have send my money every month not knowing County waste was not the owner any longer. We received a notice our pick up day would change and we now have GFL about a month ago. I received a bill stating I was ***** in arears since the rate went up to ***** which I never received any notification of this. (this was the first bill I ever received) I sent them $70 and they still say I am ***** in arears. I tried calling and left a message with their service and was told someone would get back to me in 48 hours. That was three weeks ago. I also went to the office and although the clerk was very friendly, I still do not have an answer to what is going on with my bill. My credit rating is very high and do not want it ruined by a company that cannot explain what is going on. Please help me. Hello! *** acquired County Waste back in 2020, we just started now converting everything over to the *** name. I have reviewed your account and I do show there was a price increase effective May 2022. The notification was on the 4/30/2022 invoice. I currently show a credit balance of $2.25 on your account and we just invoiced for September. If you receive an invoice for that amount of $2.25 it should have parenthesis or a negative sign in the front. Your payments might have been received after we invoiced. I have paid for trash residential service to GFL beginning March 2022. Since being provided services on several occasions they have failed to pick up my trash despite of me calling in to advise of the issue. I have requested several times for a supervisor and recently the general manager whom I have not received a response from. If they refuse to pick up my trash I need a credit for every week they fail to do the service I paid for.
