    Went to their location that the $20 got us after going to a travel trailer expo. Once we were set up on Friday and went on tour on Saturday, they gave us their spiel about what the cost would be which was over $9000 almost $10,000 +799 for maintenance fee every year and you had to sign a 30 year contract. My husband and I are 70 years old. Were not about to sign a 30 year contract and there was no way to get out of it. I dont think theyre very reputable or beware you dont wanna deal with them

As offered at the ** show in exchange for you attending this presentation, we offered you to stay and experience the campground as well as 21-day free camping and two additional gifts. Our memberships are not for everyone. Our memberships vary in price depending upon our member's needs, desires, and how they choose to travel.     This company lied to us about the monthly payment and didnt tell us about the yearly maintenance fee and will not let me out of the contract. I am fighting cancer right now and I dont have the money to pay them but they dont care and will not help me.

    Good Afternoon,We are sorry to hear of your health issues. We will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. We wanted address your concerns. We see that you purchased a 5-year trial which expires on 7-1-2028 as shown in point 2 of your contract documents with permitted resorts of ************** (**************), ******************* (*******) and ************** (*******). At the time purchase, your contract shows that you paid the document prep stamp fee per Florida state law of $13.98 and financed the entire purchase. In your Sunshine State Resorts, LLC Financing Agreement document, it shows the first six months payment amount for $56.23 monthly, and a $108.20 per month payments for the balance of the financing term of 54 months. As for your annual maintenance fees not being communicated, in your contract document section B. Purchase Price and Fees shows the annual maintenance fees at time of purchase of $499.00 and if paid annually this reflects a 10% discount and if chosen to pay quarterly is $138.61 which you chose to pay annually. Additionally, point 10 explains the maintenance fees and how the annual increase is calculated. Our records show you executed your contract via DocuSign and completed copy was sent to you and ****** at your respective emails on 7/2/23 at 12:33 and 12:36 am respectively.     Signed up a few years ago. Got some value out of it and decided we would no longer being using it. Paid about $8,000 and got $4,000 of value out of it.Terminating has been painful. They wanted verbal process but stood me up, required both myself and wife on the call. So I did it in writing per the contract 10 months ago.. Last month got a near $500 maintenance fee bill. Sent it back saying we cancelled. Today got a call saying membership was not made inactive. I told her to do it. She said she couldn't. Told her to get the person who could to do it.No more calls, everything in writing from now on.NEVER SIGN UP WITH THEM.

    Our records show that did notify us that you wanted to cancel. However, we offered you multiple opportunities to meet with someone regarding cancellation options. Which you decided not to attend. Your contract does not allow for early termination. We show that your loan is paid in full and your maintenance fees to be delinquent 43 days. For us to arrange for exit options, maintenance fees would need to be paid and in good standing.     We have been a member for many years. Paid our dues timely except last year. We are retired and money is tight. My husband is a Veteran with major medical/physical problems and can't drive the ** anymore. I contacted TRA last year and explained the situation that we could not afford it and see if we can dissolve our membership. They would not work with us. Instead, the turn us over to a credit bureau. I have tried to sell it but first got miss leading information on how to do it. Everyone you talk to in member services tell you something different. Nobody wants to buy it do to the bad reputation that TRA has. I even asked if they could help us sell it but was refused. My husband and I wanted to make this right. We always pay our bills. We can't help that my husband has medical and physical problems that take more than our insurance pays. I called numerous phone numbers and was rudely spoken to trying to settle this. My only option was to pay the amount at the credit bureau, then pay a rejoining fee and still remain a member. Remaining a member does not help us at all. I'm not sure if I need to contact small claims court. I would like to give a better star rating because we did enjoy the time before this has happened.

    First, let me thank you for being loyal members since 2016. We are sorry to hear of your husband's health issues. We hope this finds you both in good health. Your membership does have transferability options. As we share at the time of purchase, we do not assist in finding buyers for members and facilitate the paperwork for the transfers. We do see that your maintenance fees are delinquent, and your account was sent to a third-party collector. Our third-party collectors do use the credit bureaus and may have been reported but we would not know. Should you like to be considered for a medical hardship, please email to ************************************************************ a doctor's note so we can get that to the correct party for consideration as well as consideration of returning your account from our collectors.

    I have been a member of TRA since 2006. I upgraded this year to try to get better sites at ************** in **. It is so difficult to get decent sites. And 30 amp! What the h*** RV's are bigger and more computerized. Can't run everything needed on 30 amp. And please improve **************. Pool is filthy. Grounds need TLC. Where are my maintenance fees being used? Going downhill fast. Wish I had not upgraded. Waste of money!!

    Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We have recently upgraded 23 sites to full hookup, we only have 16 sites left to upgrade. In addition to this upgrade, we have made various other improvements around the property including upgraded showers, a new patio beside the store, a covered deck overlooking the lake, and a lighted lake fountain. Our pool is swept daily, as it gets a lot of traffic during the summer.     I would like to leave zero stars because my grandmother was scammed! Yes I say scammed and many other people obviously were too. I see the responses from Travel Resorts of America also stating peoples personal package information! Its funny you werent clear from the beginning that yes you are a time share! My grandmother never used her membership at all, called and cancelled the month of then we find out she is still paying 2 years later. She was told too bad if she doesnt pay they will send it to collections. Who tells a 75 year old yea just give us thousands of dollars over 5 years and you can stay wherever you want oh and still pay for that when you go and provide your own camper? Stop telling people they can get out when they cant! You should be sued!!! No one wants your deal thats why you have to trap people into it. Beware!!!!

Please note that Travel Resort of America sells private campground usage memberships and not a timeshare as there is no undivided interest. All contracts have, depending on the state, a cancellation period provided within the contract.     I think you are expanding to fast and need to maintain the one's you have Gettysburg is falling apart pool is only open half the time water is in need of an upgrade sewer is running out on the road these things need repair the bath house only has two showers open laundry is closed but there is a new gas fire pit that was not nessasery and unused cabins are falling apart AC units aren't working so they put window units in what the h*** fix what you have it's getting to the point it's unsafe to go there

    Thank you for the review, ******. We have resolved the water shortage at the resort, but we are currently operating with minimal facilities and limited water usage. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience these water issues may have caused. We did not anticipate this emergency, but we are doing our best. The pumps went down, and we had no way to receive water. The water supply at ***************************** is struggling to keep up with demand. We apologize if you feel unsafe visiting the campground. Safety is our top priority, and we value your feedback. We are constantly seeking ways to improve.     I wouldn't even give them that one star if I didn't have to lies from the beginning saying you cancel membership when ever and maintenance fee only few hundred bucks a year I don't know what the matience fee is for cause where was going no matience has been done the wifi is beyond awful really can't use it red dirt camp sites,ants everywhere can never get a spot to camp cause everything already booked when your told you are priority over certain ones which is another lie I would have gave anything not got involved with this god awful place

    Since we've not had the time to utilize any real camping time, my review is about their financing program which literally SUCKS!! I signed up for 6 months zero interest, set up autopay and my payment has been drafted every month and yet we get unindated and harrassed EVERY MONTH saying we are delinquent ecause they cannot figure out how to dismiss the monthly interest that we DO NOT owe!! Our first payment was 3/22 so we have the zero interest until actually the 9/22 payment is due. We are fed up with the constant harrassment both by phone, tesxt and even emails. I am forwarding everything to the State Attorney General and Consumer Affairs.

    WORST **************** ever !!!Really NO **************** at all !!!!You never get to talk to anyone. All they do is transfer to which puts you on hold for an hour or more. UNACCEPTABLE !!!

Was there something else we could assist you with? As we are gearing up for the season, you just imagine how many members are wanting to plan their next get away so unfortunately, we are not able to answer all calls when they come and have a call back feature in our system. It is our practice that our member service team answers them prior to going to home for the day. As such, sometimes they get ahold of the caller and others we have leave messages.
