Its truly sad that travel resorts sales pitch is we will always have a spot for you and your family when its a LIE! As soon as you pay off your timeshare or stop falling for the upgrades to make you pay more they slowly stop making room for you. They continue to collect your home resorts maintenance fees that NEVER go away and make the resort better and block of spots to market and trap MORE families with the same sales pitch!! 12 year member and always have to fight for a spot!! Ridiculous!! Be better Travel Resorts!!

We were told that there were no stings attached and could walk away at any time. I called and emailed today to cancel my membership only to be told that we would have to settle our existing "loan". We thought it would be a good fit for our plans but unfortunately we have been unable to use it and wanted to cancel. This has all the characteristics of a Timeshare. I do not wish to try and recoup the original membership cost or the maintenance fees already paid, but it is ridiculous to continue to blackmail money out of people for a product that can't be used.Travel Resorts of America

Thank you for your review. In your contract, you signed and acknowledged that:1. The cancellation period is 3 business days which expired on 3/29/23.2. Took out a loan outlined in the Federal Truth in Lending for a 78-month loan term.3. Your membership allows for 60 days advance reservation for RV sites and 30 days for rentals.4. Our records show that you made reservations twice in one year and stayed twice in one year ************* Some campgrounds are limited or closed for the winter due to weather and pipes. It would appear that the ** resorts have been where you tend to stay. Normally, we have limited cabins available at BLR and some sites and cabins at TRG. Now please note that was the Nov 2023 - May 2024 availability and weather and other items are considered before annually determined.5. You also have an affiliate deluxe membership with Coast to Coast reservations may be made up to a year in advance and rentals are available through them or their affiliates Good **** and Good Neighbor Parks. Please note that terms and conditions are that of Coast to Coast and fees may apply.6. We can provide cancellation options once the loan is fully paid and maintenance fees are in good standing. I wish I could give them negative stars. We were pressured to purchase this membership. Knowing we have very limited time to actually go anywhere we were assured we could always find a camp site. We have tried for a few years now and every time we can go somewhere there is never a spot available. We have just been paying these maintenance fees for something we can't use. Getting suckered into buying the over priced membership then being forced to continue to pay maintenance fees for something you can't use should be illegal, it is definitely unethical. When we tried to cancel the membership we have been told it will cost us another 4000 dollars to get out of the membership. So in total it will end up costing us around ****** dollars for something we have never been ever to use. I do not wish to try and recupe the original membership cost or the maintenance fees already paid, but it is ridiculous to continue to blackmail money out of people for a product that can't be used.Travel Resorts of America

This is a timeshare and should be avoided at all costs. They use high pressure sales pitch and promise you the world. I was a victim of this terrible business and am trying to inform anybody considering this vacation opportunity to skip it and find a more reputable organization. We have never been able to book a trip in the five years that we have owned; even though they still want us to continue to pay the fees or they will take legal action. We have tried to call to speak to a manager or supervisor about concerns that we have. We have left several messages, but no return calls. This company only get back with you when they want your money, but to speak to a live person other than customer service workers, you do not hear back from them.Travel Resorts of America

100% timeshare. My wife and I both have a $12,000.00 bill on our credit report from this company. I was ***** about signing up in fear of it being a timeshare. Was promised in no way shape or form was it that. "Should we decide it's not for us, call and cancel, we owe nothing and also owed nothing." "Pay as you go" Now both are credit has been trashed for years and continues because they refuse to own up to their con. We work 40+ hrs a week, we pay our bills, try to live a healthy honest life. I take this extremely personal because I did not want to do it but was sincerely promised we had not strings attached. Walk away at anytime .... DO NOT deal or sign any contract with Travel Resorts of America without having your lawyer looking it over. They talk you through it so fast and make it sound so wonderful but skip over a lot of information such as you are signing a 3 generation contract making your children AND grandchildren responsible for continuing the contract. Of course their version they say oh, you can pass this membership on to your children, not telling you about the 3rd generation clause passing it on making them responsible for the membership rather they want it or not! There are a lot of other negatives that I just dont have time to go into so Ill just sum this up by saying if you are considering a Travel Resorts of America OR Coast to Coast membership (work together) consult a lawyer or better yet turn and RUN LIKE HELL!!!Travel Resorts of America

Thank you for your review, **************. We do appreciate your feedback, however, the membership is not a mandatory transfer, it is just an option. If your children decide to keep it for their lifetime, it would just cancel at that point. You also have the option to sell/transfer your membership to someone other than your family. We do not force your kids to keep it upon your passing. I hope this clears some things up with your frustrations. Upon checking your membership, we noticed that you haven't used it in a while. My husband and I purchased TRA ******ship several years ago and we used two of the 3 resorts we were assigned to a few times, and we paid for Coast to Coast but never used Coast to Coast at all. We did pay the membership off early in full and we are ahead with the maintenance fees. Our problem is, my husband has diabetes and his vision has been getting progressively worse. Starting in 2023, I have been doing all the driving. My husband will be 76 yrs. old in March and I will be 75 yrs. old in about a week from now (****). I called ****** Services and told them I do not want the membership any longer and I am not requesting any refunds. The person I spoke to asked me to send them a note from my husband's doctor stating he cannot drive. My husband had an appt. 12/19 with his doctor and not only got a signed note but a description of what my husband's eye problem is and stated it would not be legal for him to drive. I never learned to drive pulling a travel trailer and at my age, I don't think it would be a good idea. I received a letter from TRA stating I need to pay them four years maintenance before they will cancel my membership. That is almost $2,000.00 which I do not have and I have until the end of January to pay it. They are absolutely heartless. The person who asked for a note from the doctor must have known that a note would mean nothing to these people. I wasted my time. There is nothing enjoyable about being a member here.Travel Resorts of America

1 starScam alert!This company is a total scam and they use really shady marketing tactics to lure people in and pressure them into lifetime memberships. Then you get hit will all kinds of fees. It's basically a pyramid scheme. AVOID!
