Went with this company for a long distance move from NJ. The sales rep was nice and i felt like I made a great decision. Once the move took place, they delayed my container 2 days and were unapologetic. Charged me erroneous fees for a drop off at my house and storage insurance i never purchased. The unit itself had a busted interior lock when arrived at my moving location and exterior shell lock when it arrived at my destination. They accept no accountability for their errors and their customer service reps act like you are bothering them when you call. Will never suggest this company to anyone sadly.

Terrible company!!! I ordered a container and paid for the movers to load the container for a set price. During the quote there were no discussions about stairs but they charged me an extra 500 dollars for stairs. I asked if they are familiar with a military DITY move and they said yes. The informed me the would no charge for disassemble fee over the phone. Yet another 500 dollar charge for taking TV off the wall. Spent weeks talking with customer service with no help at all. My belongings were suppose to arrive 18 June and finally just arrived. They say the have no policy for delayed containers but would offer me 30 dollars a day up until 1 July. The container then arrived 10 days after the first and all they could offer was 15 dollars a day. My wife is 5 months pregnant so I had to go buy a new bed because our stuff was so late. If you’re in the military I would never use this company. They don’t care about customers at all. The worse decision ever for a moving company.

This has been an absolutely miserable experience that has taken far too much of my time. The customer service rep was responsive all the way up till I booked and paid, then fell off the face of the earth and immediately stopped returning my emails. When I received a bill that was ~$1,000 more than what I had been quoted I reached out asking for a price breakdown several times and have still not received a response. I’ve spent several hours on hold on multiple occasions trying to get through to talk to someone. I was assured my case was being reviewed, still nothing weeks later. I was told I would incur no storage fee as long as it was shipped directly from one place to the other and was then charged a storage fee of $300. The other piece of that unexpected $1,000 was an upcharge for fuel due to the price of diesel, which was never communicated to me, and the only place it was mentioned was at the very bottom of an email that was so long gmail clipped that part off, but this was AFTER I had already booked it, no mention of this prior to booking. I understand having to pass some of the 2022 inflationary costs on to the consumer, but I do not understand being so shady and not transparent about it. I strongly feel as though I was mislead and deserve a refund for the storage and fuel upcharge. Writing “Your Estimate includes: All Transportation from your current residence to your new residence” more than implies fuel is covered. To put that on a quote and then upcharge that much for fuel after the fact is extremely misleading. My order number is ***************. Please do the right thing and contact me to correct this. They also changed my delivery date without telling me, or the movers I hired through them. Then because they had moved my delivery date, it couldn’t be picked up when it was scheduled to, and they tried to make us hold the container in our driveway for an additional two weeks. I complained and wound up having in the driveway for an additional week.

I had the unfortunate experience with a cross country move recently. I had originally scheduled the move back in April of 2022. I had spoken with the city distribution/collection site manager and arranged the entire move. He contacted me via cell phone, and this was at first appreciated as a personalized service. With this manager, he scheduled my unit drop off, and pick up dates. My first clue that this would go poorly was that he did not, in fact, set up the pick up date. So, when I called, he had to scramble a truck to come and pick up my storage unit. He accomplished this in a reasonable manner, but it still should have been a clue to the ineptness of the company. At that time, he also took down the delivery address and via text message confirmed a delivery date to the destination of July 1. The drop off and pick up were June 11 & 14th, respectively.

Fast forward to my wife and I moving across the country and me making several phone calls to confirm the delivery of our unit on July 1 with no response from 1800packrat. Could not get ahold of the manager i had spoken with. On July 1, i finally do get in touch with the person from our origin location and he informed me that he was not working for 1800Packrat any longer. I then spoke with another representative of the company who let me know that my unit had not started it's cross country trip until June 29th (15 days after picked up from my previous home). He also informed me that what the prior manager had promised me was not within his scope of duty, and he could have never arranged that being from the origin city. It would not arrive until July 7. This left me and my wife to be in our new home without a bed or our furniture for 6 days. Even though an employee had lied to me, their best offer was to give $100 because they claimed it was 'still within the delivery time frame I SHOULD have been given". this company is horrible.

We had an off shoot of PACK RAT, ZIPPY MOVE, load and move 3 containers from GA to NH on May 26 and 27. As of today July 11, we still have not gotten our goods. We were charged more money for insurance while they goods sit in a warehouse because ZIPPY MOVE could find someone to deliver the containers and unload them. We were promised delivery and unload for July11 and 12. We have paid them already for the move, delivery loading and unloading. And still can't get any information when we will get our goods. If we wanted our goods sooner, they even wanted use to hire someone else to come and get the goods at our expense.

We appreciate our customer letting us know about the delays she experienced. We sincerely apologize for the added stress the unexpected rescheduling has caused. A Resolution Supervisor has reached out, but has been unable to contact Ms. **********. We look forward to speaking with her soon.
