  At this moment I feel that this company is a scam. It has been well over 45 days waiting patiently for a refund. First time I called I was told I had to wait 30 days for a check they said had been issued. After 30 days I called back to be told a check was being issued immediately and I should receive it within 7 to 10 days. Today I’m being told that no check has ever been issued and they don’t know when one will be issued. Who can legally run a business like this. My premium is taking out of my checking monthly without problems why can’t we be reimbursed in a timely manner.

  Ameritas Life Insurance double billed me in the same month. When I complained, they said they would refund the money to my bank account within 3-5 business days. They are creating a financial hardship for me. These guys should be banned from selling Insurance and Accessing anyone's financial institutions. Total FRAUD! These guys need to be shut down.

  The company has not reimbursed me for dental work done on 2/5/2024. They said they are having trouble with their vendor and don’t have date when they will send a check.

  My mother's insurance policy changed to an Ameritas dental policy at the beginning of the year. However she is in the middle of work with implants and they say that because she wasn't insured through THEM at the beginning of the work they REFUSE to pay for the continuation of the work. My mother is elderly and on a limited budget. She bought dental insurance years ago to help with these costs. I called to speak with customer service and they said that "is just their policy" even though to do implants is a lengthy time and my mom had no choice with the change of insurance. So basically they will pay NOTHING! This company cares nothing about people.

  Had majority of my policies with Ameritas. Got diagnosed with high blood pressure and these jokers began refusing coverage and applying 1 year waiting periods. I since then surrendered my policies and I requested the cash in my Whole Life policy. A month later they're still stalling. All types of rules and regulations are coming from nowhere now. Not only that it takes days to get the information. I was told today by the woman handling my file that it will be processed today. A month later.
  
  STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Go with anyone else except these Klownz.

  This is the wor**** insurance company I have ever dealt with. They cancelled my dental and vision plan. Give me a bogus excuse that my Navy Federal CU account was closed when clearly it isn't since that is my main bank account. I have called them when I moved into my new home for change of address. They kept sending letters to my old apartment ****ating that my account is passed due but yet terminated at the same time??? How is my account terminated but come back and say I owe you money???? I never wanted my plan terminated in the fir**** place and my bank account is open! Then in****ead of contacting me by phone or email to resolve this matter they send my claims to a collection agency. I have been working very hard to keep my credit score up and because these lazy POSs don't want to pick up a phone or email which is a fa****er response then mail. They literally are out for ju**** money and not for your health what so ever. They hone****ly didn't even pay for crap when they were my primary policy my secondary picked up the bill for my dental claim. You business is an insult to other insurance companies and this RIGHT here is the reason people don't tru**** insurance companies to take care of them and believe 100% insurance is a huge scam for money! Great job for making a person feel like complete crap. RYAN your monotone condescending attitude and laziness to not get a manager for me was noticed you're not talking to people who don't know insurance. I've worked in the health field since 2004 so yes sir... I know my rights as a patient in insurance world. Thank you.

  This company has been lying to my dental office for months. They keep claiming to be "medical" despite me verifying multiple times that it is indeed the dental card. When I finally called insurance directly to sort it out, they are indeed a dental network, but my claim was supposedly not filed within the 4 month limit after the appointment (which is apparently also unusual for insurance to do), claiming I would need to foot the bill. The dental office then had to send proof that they sent in the claim back when I had the appointment and multiple times over the following months. This is outright fraudulent.

  I was trying to get a long term disability insurance policy and the insurance broker got a policy for me from Ameritas. The whole thing was a $?/! Show and such a racket. They asked for a statement verifying I don’t have certain symptoms anymore. I easily got that for them then they basically threw the statement away and continued to ding me for temporary symptoms I had almost a year and a half prior. They are also dinging me for condition I’ve never had and have never been to a doctor for. I’ve never seen such a stupid and frustrating underwriting process. Insurance is a joke to begin with, but these guys take it to a whole new level! It’s constant hoops that go nowhere and ridiculous standards. They aren’t covering a couple of rather minor pre-existing conditions which is understandable, but are refusing to give me a policy until I’m 65 based solely on those two conditions. If you can find any other company, you’ll probably have far less frustration and wasted time.

  I merely was looking for quotes and got sent a $139.00 bill within 3 wks. I did not agree not sign any paperwork. This company needs to be investigated as for as there procedures. Furthermore it is a scam the prices they quoted was not what they tried to charge.
