      My husband died on September 16 I sent Ameritas Life ins. A r death certificate
      requesting that they cancel his dental insurance. They sent a letter of condolence and stopped the policy. Then in January 0f 2024 I received a past due bill. Sometime in November or December they reinstated the policy. After spending 30 min on the phone I was informed that they need a second death certificate and refuse to cancel the policy. I was told eventually it will cancel itself after it goes into collections . Is there any way to stop these people?

      Ameritas life insurance corp. is worst dental insurance company.
      Terrible coverage and a lot of claims not cover.
      In my claim I must have independent external review and pay filling fee.

      A TOTAL SCAM!!! For YEARS I haven't been able to cancel my policy. They never answer the phone but they are quick to take monthly payments!!! For a $12,000 claim, they only helped me with $500.. No coverage and no claim support, they will lie and mislead you, etc. Terrible experience that has lost me more money than ever imagined, this is a total waste of money!!! Don't use Ameritas!

      I wanted to share my experience with Ameritas Dental Implant Plan—it's been a letdown, to say the least. I've been on their plan for 3 to 4 years, faithfully paying $68 a month for coverage. But when I needed help for a broken tooth and an implant, they didn't cover a thing. No support, no coverage for the doctor's visit, let alone the implant procedure. Total disappointment—I feel like they're pulling a scam on everyone.

      Ameritas has such terrible coverage, I would leave less than one star if I could. It feels like a scam that they offer coverage to people in my area when there isn't anyone within 100 miles of my area in their network for anything beyond a basic check up or cleaning. It is so upsetting to pay into an insurance company for a year or more and then right when you really need help you're left helpless and scrambling to put money together out of pocket for your child, the money you've spent on dental "insurance" over the course of more than a year essentially wasted for all the good it can do you.

      This is a scam. They took 500 dollars a month from me. Thank goodness I cancelled it in time!!! 3,000 dollars in a 6 month period!!! Unbelievable stay clear

      Their customer service is beyond terrible. Their employees are rude and the supervisors are even worse. If I could give 0 stars I would but 1 is the lowest rating. They deny coverage even when your premiums are paid and up to date. Do not buy insurance through them.

      A Warning About Ameritas: Steer Clear for Your Own Good
      If you're considering Ameritas for your dental insurance needs, you might want to think twice. From nearly nonexistent communication to shockingly poor customer service, my experience with this company has been a letdown at every turn.
      1. Communication Gaps: Trying to get in touch with Ameritas is like shouting into the void. No online portals for document submission exist. You're stuck with a constantly busy phone line and an ambiguous corporate email address.
      2. Customer Service Woes: When you do reach someone, prepare for arrogance, rudeness, and a complete lack of empathy. It feels more like an interrogation than problem-solving.
      3. Document Merry-Go-Round: Despite providing all requested information for my claim, they kept asking for more, especially about my secondary dental insurance. It was an endless loop of bureaucracy, making me question whether they were interested in processing my claim at all.
      4. No Return Envelopes: You'd think that a company dealing with documents would include a return envelope or even a clear address. Nope, you’re left to guess, adding more friction to an already frustrating process.
      5. Disregard for Feedback: When I mentioned that I'd be writing a review, their cavalier response was, "Go ahead." That was the final straw, signaling to me their utter disregard for customer experience.
      In conclusion, if you're looking for efficient, respectful, and transparent service, look elsewhere. Ameritas has failed on these fronts, and until they make some serious changes, I recommend avoiding them altogether.

      Been on hold for 10 minutes already. Their website requires 5 steps of authentication, one of which I was not provided with at sign-up. So, I'm at an impasse on my very first attempt to utilize this service I pay for, and I'm not getting service...
      It's a very simple task, the only task I expect of an insurance company: I need to check on an insurance claim that was filed weeks ago and I've heard nothing about
