I purchased tickets to go see the Dave Matthews Band at merryweather post pavilion on May 31st 2025. The organization represented themselves as ************, which is what I understood them to be and represented that there were few seats left and charged double the amount that the tickets would have normally cost.. It was a clear deception, even when I went to get my tickets. They said to go to ************, but they are not affiliated with ************. And when they said that they were a third party, my understanding was that they were not merryweather post pavilion, but that they were ************. It is a clear racket and I want to get refunded for my tickets. Because I spent double. Oh, it's $700 more of what the tickets were actually worth.

Thank you for contacting Box Office Ticket Sales, a leading resale provider of event tickets. We vehemently dispute our customers claims. Every one of our customers agree to the terms and conditions of their purchase including that they understand and agree we are not ************ or the venue. each customer also must give verbal authorization that they understand we are a resale marketplace and that tickets may be sold above face value. Pricing for events may vary based on the quantity of tickets, location of tickets and the type of ticket. In this customers case only resale tickets were available in the sections they were looking at and also requiring ADA seats may have impacted the price this customer paid. The time for our customer to question their purchase was before agreeing to it and not after they agreed to it and accepted all 4 tickets. We passionately believe this complaint should be closed immediately.

In Feb 2025 I ordered two tickets for X Games Sacramento 2025, which was scheduled to occur August 2025. In late April, I learned that the event was postponed indefinitely. I learned that the event was postponed— not through X Games or the ticketing office— but via local news clips circulating social media. When I contacted ************************ for a refund, they refused. They said that cancelling qualifies for a refund, but postponing indefinitely does not. They acknowledged that it might never be rescheduled, and that I might not be able to attend the rescheduled date.

      Business Response

Thank you for contacting Box Office Ticket Sales a leading resale provider with over 63,000 positive reviews. All customers including this one agree to the terms and conditions of the website when authorizing their purchase which clearly states if an event is postponed or rescheduled that the tickets are valid for the new date. We can see that our customer was in communication with our customer service team over the weekend where they were also advised the same. Here is a summary of the terms that our customer agreed to. Should the event become cancelled they would certainly be eligible for a refund.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: this is fraudulent sales. Look on the X Games website, there is no X Games Sacramento, past present or future. Not a single legitimate X Games Sacramento ticket was issues by X Games. BoxOfficeTicketSales has no good or service to deliver. Postponed is not the same as postponed indefinitely. ‘Postponed indefinitely’ is a euphemism for cancelled.

      Sincerely,

We appreciate our customers patience while we reviewed this information. After careful consideration and reviewing the X Games website we have concluded that there won't be a rescheduled date for Sacramento. As a result, we will be issuing a full refund to our customer and that money will go back to the original payment method used at the time of their purchase. We consider this matter closed

This is in regards to order number******. I had reached out to this organization in regards to a refund of a purchase that I had made last week. The supervisor on the phone informed me that I should reach out to my bank in regards to this transaction as they had “killed the transaction and nothing has been withdrawn from He also rudely informed me to contact my bank and there was nothing he could do. account. I contacted my bank and the representative informed me that the amount had been subtracted from my account and they were waiting for the to reimburse them. I reached back out to this representative who was very rude and disrespectful on the phone who informed me to contact my bank and to call him back again and there was nothing that he could do. I have since contacted my bank again and filed a complaint and they have starteda claim against this company to get my money back.

Thank you for contacting Box Office Ticket Sales a leading resale provider of event tickets. We have been in constant communication with our customer and now their husband. Their recollection of the conversations with our team are vastly different than what actually was stated. We advised our customer that we did void their transaction, however depending on the type of credit / debit / pre-paid card they used could take several days up to a week for them to see the temporary hold drop off the card. We voided their transaction and communicated this to them on 4/7 via SMS and email. Voided transaction receipt is attached. We consider this matter resolved and closed

I purchased two tickets and right away realized it was a mistake and asked for a refund. The site was not at all clear that their policy was no refunds. It may have been in very small print but no clear message at the time of purchase.
I called the next day to box Office Ticket Sales and also tried to get my bank to delete the purchase but to no avail in either case.

We are in receipt of the complaint filed by our customer and request that it be closed immediately as it's without merit or validity. Box Office Ticket Sales has transparent pricing. All fees including the price of tickets, service fees, delivery fees and any applicable taxes are clearly itemized at checkout and must be agreed to by all customers including this one before authorizing their purchase online. The time to question these fees was before completing the checkout process and not afterwards. Additionally every page of our website clearly states we are a resale marketplace. Furthermore all customers including this one go through a multistep process to complete their purchase including agreeing to the terms and conditions of the site, there is no small print as this consumer alleges. There is no further actions that will be taken and no refund processed. All this customer needs to do is sit back and wait for their event to take place in August and to enjoy the show

In fact none of that was clearly stated.  I thought I was dealing with **** **** and not a resale outlet.  That was my mistake. But the terms of the purchase were not at all clearly stated despite what Box office Tickets maintains.

Thank you for contacting Box Office Ticket Sales, a leading resale provider of event tickets. Our customer is not being factual with their complaint and request that it be immediately closed for the following reasons:

      - Tickets for the 8/6 date have been transferred to the email address provided to us at the time of purchase which is the same email address on this complaint. We emailed our customer on 2/21 of the transfer and she or her husband read the email on 3/25

      - We have sent our customer 4 SMS text messages to the phone number on this complaint, which is the number they called us from to place the purchase and also subsequently to contact us one additional time. Each SMS text was a reminder to accept and download their tickets using the AXS app. Texts were sent on 2/21, 3/8 and 3/18

We will notify our customer when the tickets for 8/5 are transferred.

Our customer clearly has buyers remorse and believes if they don't respond or accept the tickets they somehow won't have to pay for them. That isn't how the ticketing industry works and we strongly recommend the customer accept their tickets immediately

      This complaint should be closed

I received my 2 tickets from **** ****** **** yesterday showing they were worth $25.50 each for total of $51.
When I ordered these tickets Jan. 17th, 2025 from box office tickets sales, I thought I was ordering from **** ****** **** box office sales. That was what I had googled and it took me to their site. I was charged $124 for each ticket and service fee $73.16 and shipping and handling of email of tickets $9.95 total $331.11.
These people are purposefully making it easy to accidently purchase form the wrong place. I would never have ordered it from them if I knew they were not the **** ****** **** box office. Even if I must pay for their services, the overcharge is ridiculous. They should not be allowed to have google send people to them when we google **** ****** box office. I thought the tickets were high because of the performance that night. Instead I got scammed. $331.11 vs $51. Scammers.

As we have previously stated in our response yesterday, our company is a resale marketplace, and tickets will be sold above face value. Every page of our website very clearly states this. While we can appreciate our customer attempting to paint our business negatively because of a handful of negative reviews across a few websites , the volume of complaints is completely laughable given we have sold tickets to well over 1,000,000 customers, likely even 1,500,000. What our customer failed to note is the 63,000 customers who left 4 and 5 star reviews through ****************************************************************

This is a case of buyers remorse from a customer that doesn't fully understand how a resale marketplace works. We consider this complaint closed and no refund will be provided

      Customer Answer

      Date: 04/04/2025

I will never consider this closed. You know exactly what you doing and how you have tricked people. Your Lawyers are slick  how you set up to dupe the public. I know many who just won't complain about this but are out there and angry. I have placed my story about you all over the social media and its amazing how many others have responded saying they had the same problems with you. I have also complained to  **** ****** **** about this and they need to stop selling to groups like you.

If I had purchased sports tickets for a major event and then tried to sell them at exorbitant prices on the streets, I would be brought to jail. It's called scalping. You have managed to skirt the law about this just enough that they cant commit you in your scalping sales. It is  not buyers remorse as you put it. Just because you say that, doesn't' make it true. I don't regret buying the tickets.  I only regret buying them from scalpers like you. I now know to look  more carefully to make sure I reach the right box office.

Hi and thanks in advance for your help.
In a nutshell we purchased tickets, which we very much wanted to attend, for the ****** ***** Tennis event in Palm Springs, CA, just starting now. (3/5/25)
****** had a sudden medical event, was in the hospital for several days, requires an operation, cannot travel (we have a letter from her Dr) and we had to cancel the hotel, airlines tickets (without a problem) and the tennis tickets - HUGE PROBLEM.
Details: purchased tickets 7/12/24 on Capital One Visa card (ending in ****) from CETICKETSALES ************** for $3,083.28, which is Box Office Ticket Sales Co. (************)(**********************************************). Their invoice ******  7/12/25 11:04:09 AM.
After ****** got out of the hospital (2/26/25) we contacted them immediately indicating we could not attend the event (3 days of tickets, 2 people, two events per day - 6 tickets total)
Their response to this exceptional situation was, sorry no refunds, hope you feel better.
We tried to give them time to resell the tickets and feel this is Very unfair and would like a full refund.
I (***** ******r - husband) also called on 3/3/25 at 3:33 pm, spoke with *****, and she indicated, too, so sorry no refunds.
We have documented texts back and forth with ****** ***** and Box Office Sales trying to get this resolved to no avail.
      Could you Please help us?
Thanks so much and feel free to text, call or email either one of us.

Thank you for contacting Box Office Ticket Sales. We do empathize that our customer took ill in February and hope they are on the path to getting better. That being said, we are a resale ticket marketplace and even under the circumstance of being unable to travel we, along with our competitors in our industry do not offer refunds when a customer is unable to attend an event. Additionally, we cannot speak to what a hotel or airline would do in this situation. Every customer including this one agree to the terms and conditions of our company prior to authorizing their purchase. The terms clearly state that all sales are final and that there are no refunds or exchanges. No refund will be provided and we consider this complaint closed

Both the airline and hotel provide Full Credit for our trip.
At the very least we would expect full credit for next year's tennis event.  That would be a sympathetic nice touch.

As we stated in our previous response we're in no position to speculate as to what a hotel or airline did in this situation nor are we in a position to emulate them. Resale ticket marketplaces widely adhere to an all sales are final policy regardless of the circumstance. As a resale marketplace we work with 100's, even 1000's of resellers and it isn't feasible for us to give a credit toward a future event as the customers inability to attend the event , while an unfortunate situation, had nothing to do with anything within our companies control. As we stated yesterday as well, we will not be refunding this consumer and this complaint should be closed

I purchased tickets for the play The Diary of Black Men on 10/8/24 for a show that was scheduled for 10/18/24. I learned this date was a new date from a previously "postponed" show earlier in 2024. The show was then rescheduled from 10/18/24 to 3/15/25. Now this show has been "postponed" again indefinitely. When I checked the website for future tour dates of this play there are NONE for 2025. Box Office Ticket Sales was still promoting sales for the 3/15/25 date until I called and informed them that date was no longer valid. I requested a refund and was told they could not help me. I requested a refund because at this point there is no reasonable expectation that this play will take place in any near future in Ohio or anywhere else. Legally, I should be totally refunded with interest for the services I have yet to be given. I can't believe someone can contractually just hang onto anyone's money in hopes of providing a service in a future that doesn't exist. I'm now looking into seeking legal help because none of this seems reasonable. Even ******* is still trying to sell tickets for the March 2025 date and I can't understand how anyone can get away with this false advertisement. At this point I have been scammed by Box Office Ticket Sales and will never use their services again, nor will I recommend them to ANYONE now or in the future. This has been a total ripoff.

Box Office Ticket Sales is a leading resale marketplace of event tickets. While we understand our customers frustrations, an event postponing or even postponing multiple times is completely out of our control. Furthermore this customer calling us a scam is both false and slanderous and they should be extremely careful with make inaccurate comments about a business. They should redirect their anger at the event promoter who is the one postponing the event, a promoter we have zero relationship with. Furthermore, all customers including this one agree to the terms and conditions of our website which clearly stats that there are no refunds for postponed events. We consider this complaint frivolous and it needs to be closed immediately

      Business Response

      Date: 02/09/2025

The terms and conditions of our website are crystal clear, there are no refunds for postponed events. This is a secondary market standard and whether this consumer purchased tickets from our company or any of the other top ten resale marketplaces the answer would be the same, no refund will be provided unless the event is cancelled. For the very final time, our company has zero affiliation with the event or it's promoter where our customers anger should be directed. @BBB, no matter how many times this consumer rejects the response the outcome will be the same, no refunds on postponed events.

My husband and I were looking at NASCAR tickets for April 2025. This was the first website to pop up in the search engine when looking for tickets. Once we checked out, we were notified we would not be able to get the tickets until April 25th and the event is the 26th through the 27th. I immediately called the company while my charge was pending in an attempt to cancel my order. I explained to the representative my charge was still pending and I wanted to cancel my order, but they told me there was nothing they could do. I knew from this phone call I needed to do additional digging and went on to read reviews on the company, and all of the reviews stated it is fraudulent. Some reviews were similar to ours saying they did not get their tickets until the day of the event, and when the tickets were scanned, they were fake. I don't want any person to feel the way I do right now and get scammed out of hundreds of dollars. I would love to receive a refund if at all possible because we just purchased the tickets tonight, January 23rd and for this website to be taken down. Anything you can do to help we would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time.

Box Office Ticket Sales is a leading resale marketplace. Each year we help more that 250,000 customers experience the thrill of live events. We're requesting that this complaint be closed immediately as our customer agreed to the delivery delivery timeframe at the time of their purchase. This customers remarks that we are a scam are both false and slanderous. Tickets will be delivered on or before the agreed upon deadline which is commonplace in the secondary market of ticketing. Please see the attached screen shot of the sellers disclosures agreed to at the time of purchase. This is nothing more than a case of buyers remorse and there is nothing else this customer needs to do but to sit back and enjoy their event in April 2025. I am rejecting this response because if you read the reviews of the company, they speak for themself. And I've bought plenty of tickets in the past and I've never received the tickets the day before the event. That's absurd as a business. And per the comments left by previous customers, if they do receive the tickets they paid for, the tickets don't get them into the event. No buyers remorse here, just expected to be dealing with a business that isn't shady and tries to steal from people.

      Sincerely,

      ***** *******

We again state that this complaint should be closed. This customers concerns about 70 reviews from over 1,000,000 customers we've sold tickets to in the past few years are meritless. Furthermore our customer should review the nearly 60,000 customer reviews we have received mostly 5 stars from shopper approved. This more accurately represents our business. Again, our customer agreed to the delivery time frame for their purchase, the time to question it was before agreeing to the purchase and not after. They will receive their tickets on or before the timeframe indicated. There is nothing more the customer needs to do other than enjoy their race in April.

Thank you for contacting Box Office Ticket Sales, a leading resale provider of event tickets. We appreciate our customers order in 2021 and they have been advised the following numerous times and we hold this same position. Our customer purchased tickets to the Premier Boxing Championship and not a fight of two men -v- one another. It is common place for fighters to be rotated in and out of fights for a championship fight. Just because one of the fighters in the match changed does not make their purchase eligible for a refund. We request that this complaint be immediately closed as their is no validity to their claims

Our customer support team keeps very detailed notes and at NO time was our customer ever offered a credit for future use in the amount they paid. At first a courtesy refund of $400 was offered and than a refund of 50% of what they paid was offered as a pure courtesy. Once our customer started threatening legal action our customer service team took a possible refund off the table. Furthermore, these were offers of pure courtesy at the time and in no way an admission of wrong doing. At this time and since its been over 3 years since this event took place no credit will be offered and consider this matter closed.

I am going to have my lawyer contact them because they have a recording of them telling me they would give me a credit. I will have the phone conversations subpoena.
