I contacted the entity regarding tickets purchased through their website service for an upcoming concert ** ******* ****** ******. Through their website, I attempted to purchase tickets for ****** final show on December 2, 2023. While entering my information along with CC info and submitting within their time clock paying over $******* for three tickets, the tickets apparently were sold right out from underneath me and other tickets were offered. This occurred multiple times. The website kept redirecting me to other tickets available for purchase in the vicinity of where I was looking for the original ticket purchase. While their website was suggesting available tickets, it also changed the date to December 1, 2023. I did not make this change. I am adamant about this as I have to travel from a far distance and purposely purchased the tickets for Dec. 2 as it is ****** reported last show ever. Not only did the ticket agency’s website change my tickets, they also sold me tickets to a section that doesn’t exist within the seating chart. When I pressed the customer service agent, he had no response other then he had to email his sr manager who had to email a more senior manager. After 45 mins, the customer service rep told me they would email me their resolution after looking into it. I was not provided a case reference number and suspect their actions to be fraudulent. The customer representative told me they were able to check the system and verify it working correctly alluding to it being operator error. Rather convenient on their part to verify their system is working correctly, but not have any answers for me regarding selling me tickets that do not exist on the wrong date that i did not pick. As a leading resale provider of event tickets, Box Office Ticket Sales relies on a vast network of ticket suppliers to fulfill orders. Our customer claims of some intentional changing of event dates is completely false. At the time of checkout all customers must agree to an order summary which includes the itemization of fees, event date and time (and venue) along with the delivery expectations set forth by the ticket supplier. If the customer purchased for the wrong date it was their error and since all sales are final there are no exchanges. Regarding the claims that we sold seats in a section that didn't exist that is also false information. In the rarest of occasions the row and seats a customer has purchased become no longer available and the ticket supplier will offer comparable or better seats which is what happened with this customer. At this time, there is no other action this customer needs to take other than to countdown the days till their amazing concert will take place. We consider this complaint closed. I am rejecting this response because:
In no way was it operator error, the system glitched multiple times upon submitting for tickets. A simple review of customer reviews of your company will provide you enough proof as to your system has issues. I still have not seen proof of the actual seats, the supplier will not provide me proof that the seats actually exist. They have lots of excuses, but nothing that is credible. Until I receive tickets and or an invoice that states the seats are actual, all i have is a statement for a section within ******* ****** ****** that does not exist and an email essentially saying these “new” seats exist. Blaming the consumer as to your company’s poor business practices is not a good defense.

Box Office Ticket Sales has sold tickets to nearly 175,000 customers in the last year. Not a single person has had an issue purchasing on our website and this customers claim that the system glitched is 100% false.
We have confirmed with the ticket supplier responsible for this customers order that they will receive tickets in Section * , Row *.
Tickets will be delivered no later than 48 hours prior to the event date and there is nothing else this customer needs to do at this time other than to enjoy their event in December 2023 !

On today's dat 3-17-2023 I typed in the concert venue name and concert performer name. It popped up as that venue/performer box office. I purchased tickets and realized after payment it said it was third part vendor and not the actual box office. An email was sent and no response about refund. Absolute scam by using the venue followed by box office to get triple the amount of face value. Plus they haven't sent them and said I would get them the day before the concert. Now I have 4 tickets since I had to buy from the actual venue in case this site doesn't actually send them.Business Response

Box Office Ticket Sales is a resale marketplace. Every page of our website states that we are a resale marketplace, not the venue or artist. At the time of purchase all customers including this one must agree to the terms and conditions of our website which clearly state that we are a resale marketplace and that all sales are final. I am rejecting this response because: the manner of which the business solicits makes it seem as if they are the provider FOR the venue. Most venues do use a ticket source such as ****** ****** and in this case *** was the correct ticket provider. Boxoffice tickets still will not provide me with the purchased tickets so I can at least give them to friends to use since I was caused to buy tickets (which I got immediately) from the actual ticket provider. I am not guaranteed to get my tickets from boxoffice. They did allow me to place these tickets on a resale site (that they are affiliated with) to recoup a portion of my cost IF they resell them. Tricking the consumer into thinking they are the venues box office and not providing tickets to the consumer after they already charged triple the price is crazy and borders fraud. The refund policy states if the tickets are not received the funds would be refunded. I have not received my tickets so therefore I should be refunded. If no refund will be made then I need the tickets now.

As a resale marketplace ticket delivery will vary from that of the primary source. In a post-covid world tickets are generally delivered to customers no later than 24-48 hours prior to the event , which is the case here. Tickets are 100% guaranteed. On 2/24/23 I purchased 2 tickets to a concert for $******. I thought I was talking to the venue box office, not a reseller. When I asked to confirm if this was the venue box office I was told that many box offices don’t sell the tickets and work with resellers instead, so I continued with the purchase thinking this was my only option to purchase tickets. After I got off the phone, I looked up the venue and found that they indeed were selling tickets directly from their box office. I waited until Box Office Ticket Sales opened on Monday to request a refund, and after they listened to the recording of my call, they refused to see my point of view and told me I was not getting a refund. The manager further stated that there was nobody higher that could help me. When I placed my order, my impression was that there was no other way to get tickets. I honestly thought I was talking to an agent at the venue box office until one of the statements the sales agent read during the sale made me question him as to who he worked for. He could have replied “no, this is not the box office” but he added the clause “many of them don’t sell tickets anymore so you need to purchase from agencies like these.” That additional information may be true, but it led me to believe I needed to purchase from him or not be able to purchase any tickets at all. I feel this agent was ********* and the management did not believe my honest complaint, and further insulted me by telling me I didn’t do my due diligence and shop around. I am rejecting this response because the only reason I agreed to the terms was because my understanding from the sales agent was that this was my only option for purchasing the tickets. I had not purchased tickets online from a broker before which was why I thought I was talking to the venue box office. Before I agreed to all statements I told the sales agent that I thought I was talking to the venue box office, that should have been enough to abandon the transaction. Instead, I was coerced into continuing the transaction as I thought I had no other choice.

What the business committed to provide you: I called this number to ask for tickets for the upcoming *** ******* ** ******** ** (****** ******) on February 22nd, 2023. When I asked the agent the grand total, he shared with me that he could not see the total and would tell me, the caller, the price before pressing "submit." He assured me nothing would go through until confirming with me.
What is the nature of the dispute: The dispute is, Collin, the agent asked to speak with the cardholder, Robert ******, to verify that he was the card holder. The cardholder said yes, and Collin continued speaking with him, until the card holder stated- please make sure you are discussing actual details with Chanel (me), the person who originally called, I am just verifying it's my card. Once, I got back on the phone, I asked for the grand total, and he stated it was $******- the tickets I was purchasing was $****** a piece, $******. I stated I was not comfortable with the $****** process fee and didn't want to move forward, he said too late. I asked for a manager, the manager, John- who I'm told is the highest ranking person there, got on the phone and proceeded to yell at me and stated they already processed, and I would not receive my money back. This company lacks integrity, and I am requesting a full refund of $******, immediately. Thank you.
