      Poor customer service. They do not send customers an explanation of benefits after work is done. You can telephone them and they will tell you verbally what was paid and what you still owe but no details of how those figures were arrived at. Pleasantly apologetic on telephone with a sort of "that's the way it is" attitude.

      An explanation of benefits (EOB) is sent for all claims submitted. If you need a duplicate EOB for a past claim or assistance interpreting the correspondence, please call us at 1-877-667-6187.

      Be aware of th Premium dental policy plan from Physicians Mutual Insurance. They advertise "no deductibles, co-pays, or limits", but if you request a copy of their coverages in this plan they are atrocious. As an example, they will cover 100% of basic cleanings, but will only pay about $53.00 for a filling that can cost (in my area) $160 to $300,and $95 for a crown that costs about $1500, So, for approximately $600 in premiums you would receive about $148 to pay for procedures that cost about $1700.
      Furthermore, there is a 1 year waiting period for anything other that basic cleanings, and if you attempt to apply for their premium package, which will pay up to 70% of the procedural costs listed above, you will incur another 1 year waiting period.
      This company should be more upfront about what they cover in their premium plan.

      They are absolute crap. I had extensive dental work done and they hardly covered anything that was in my policy, in fact don't believe their policies its a pack of lies. Have binned them! I HAD to give them a one star rating otherwise my comment could not be posted otherwise I would not have left any star rating.

      When seeing an in-network dental provider, Physicians Mutual dental coverage provides 100% coverage for preventive care and pays the benefit level selected for basic services immediately. Benefits for major services such as crowns, root canals, dentures, etc., are available after one year. The entire list of 400+ covered procedures is available to review in your policy and online at www.PhysiciansMutual.com. If you feel that a claim was not processed correctly, please contact us and we will gladly review it.

      Terrible company. They dont tell you if your an agent they own your business. When your a commissiond sales person and you bring in business and get paid, then the cancel or mishandel the business, they file a vector which interferes in you doing business. This is not fair or right. There ethics are questionable.

      If the agent had told me the truth I would not have opened the policy!!! The agent told me they would help find a dentist that offered the services I need and they don't help at all with that what they do is send you a list that is worthless so far I have spent over 50 hours searching dentist on this list and the services they offer and it's been a huge waist of my time and money I've paid 13 months for this insurance have not been able to use it

      My brother recently passed. I received a call from this company but when I called back - I got nothing but the runaround.
      I recently chatted and the guy "John W*****" just exited the conversation when I asked a question. When I called - the girl just hung up on me. I'm not sure how I find out anything about this but their customer service stinks.

      I have had nothing but the run around from this company trying to set up dental insurance. I sent in a voided check for them to set up automatic bank payments. Then I was told that the bank denied this and I needed to call the bank. I called bank and they said they never received any notification for setting that up. I called Physicians Mutual again and spoke to a different person. Got another run around about how the bank has denied it. I explained everything to this woman and got nothing accomplished; GOT NOWHERE. I'm done. This is ridiculous.
      Signed, EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED. I will look into another company. I would like to leave zero stars.

      No thank you. I'm done. This started with a problem with my agent trying to set this up for me several months ago and has just progressed from there. There was NO REASON for the bank to deny the request. Something is wrong here ??.

      I’m simply called for quote and decided that it was too expensive for me. Now, this company will not stop emailing me, and mailing me advertisements. They are relentless and so annoying! I had to block their emails and then the mailings began. I just want them to go away! I am reading the reviews and it appears that I dodged a bullet. So many 1 & 2 stars. They must rrrrreally suck!

      It’s nearly impossible to cancel this dam policy! I have to snail mail a letter which I did but still no reply to cancel
