I had went in for a consultation on my chin. I was whisked into a private room where I was pressured to sign a 36 month contract and sold on the fact that I could do my entire body (for life) for nearly the same amount as just my chin. The rep said we could review the contract together after my service. Once I was done with service on just my chin, I was told to sign a contract on ******* that I had literally no time to review while the entire office/medical staff was watching me. It was so uncomfortable but at that point I had technically received service and just wanted to get out of there. I have been back a couple times, but each time is just so uncomfortable (staff-wise), the procedure doesn't hurt. I've scheduled a few other times to go back but just can't bring myself to go to that place. I'd like to cancel my contract - I've paid nearly $***** - that's more than enough to cover the few services I've received.Business Response

Patricia ***** became a client of Milan Laser Hair Removal on 1/13/22 when she participated in a free consultation. At the conclusion of the consultation, Ms. ***** decided to purchase laser hair removal on multiple areas. Her choice of payment was through reoccurring monthly payments to ************** as well as Milan Laser. In our purchase agreement with Ms. *****, she signed and agreed to all sales being final and has received multiple treatments on multiple areas.
On 7/29/22 Milan Laser was informed that Ms. ***** filed a complaint with the BBB. Our Regional Sales Manager has reached out to Ms. ***** to discuss her concerns, but has been unable to reach Ms. ***** via phone, email or SMS. As of 8/12/22, Ms. ***** has still not responded to come to a resolution for her.

We are working to coordinate a call. The RSM called during business hours when I am working and not available.
The fact of the matter is that I was not able to read the contract prior to receiving a treatment and at that point felt like I had no other option but to sign the contract. I was told it would be one low monthly payment through **** - but when I came out, was informed **** could not approve me for the full amount so they had to do internal funding as well. Which resulted in an additional monthly payment (nearly $*** total per month). Their sales technique was very pushy and I was forced to read a contract on ******* in the front lobby with people all around. It was rushed, it was sloppy, and it was quite frankly - an uncomfortable sales tactic to force someone into signing. I will explain all of this to the RSM when we get on a call. Regardless, I want to cancel the contract. It was not was I was informed of prior to receiving treatment and I then felt obligated to commit because of that and did not have adequate time to read the terms of the agreement. I've explained all of this in the complaint so I am not sure what the RSM MUST discuss by phone. Unless it is another way to push me into having to commit to something. Quite frankly, I would rather reach a resolution VIA EMAIL and IN WRITING.Initial Complaint

I accompanied my wife to a consult at Milan *************** in May of this year. The consultant was very friendly and offered to discuss services for me. At that time, I felt pressure to sign since my wife was signing a contract for herself. When the services were being provided, I asked to pause many times as it was nothing like what was explained to me and ************* was very bothered by the laser and I haven't returned since then. The contract signed is for 36 months and I do not feel that I can handle the pain of the laser. I understand that I signed a contract and that it was an all sales are final agreement, however I feel that instead of just showing a video they would offer a sample session to see if you feel that it can be tolerated before being made to feel that you need to sign the contract to get anything done. I have made two payments to the financing company so far, and would like to have some resolution.Business Response

Their choice of payment was through reoccurring payments to ****. In our purchase agreement with Mr. *****, they signed and agreed to all sales being final and scheduled their first treatment.
On 7/29/22, Milan Laser was informed that Mr. ***** filed a complaint with the BBB. A member of Milan's Client Services Team spoke with Mr. ***** and found that he felt pressured into signing up and felt that test shots before purchasing would have been beneficial to the purchasing process to ensure that treatment could be tolerated. To resolve, additional measures were taken to ensure a better client experience moving forward.

I had a consultation at Milan Laser on July 26th 2022. After a very lengthy sales pitch, where I felt very pressured I signed an agreement for a 2 year payment plan. Before signing I asked about the cancellation policy and the woman, Sierra, who was providing the consult informed me that cancellations could not be made once treatments had occurred. After sleeping on my decision and receiving news that would make it nearly impossible for me to receive treatments from Milan laser for the next year, I realized I did not feel comfortable with my decision. It seemed absurd to pay $*** a month for a service I wouldn't be able to use and in addition they say it takes only a year to achieve results and I felt that their payment model is designed to take advantage of people. I had not received any treatment so I decided to cancel my plan. I called Milan laser customer service to cancel and was directed to call my local office. Upon calling my local office I was told by the manger Lexi that there was nothing she could do despite the fact that I had not received any service from them. I was told a representative would contact me further to address my issues and was never contacted. I have received no treatment from Milan Laser thus it seems wrong to force someone into a payment plan when they haven't even received any service yet. I am simply asking to end my plan which seems more than reasonable as I have not received any services yet.Business Response

Ms ****** booked her a free consultation on July 26th and met with our clinic manager. During her consultation she had expressed to the manager that she came in because she is tired of shaving specific areas. She gets irritation, redness and just wants to be able to not worry about it. She has very coarse dark hair and it's pain to shave everyday. They went through all the information and she loved all of our locations. She had stated said eventually she would love to get more areas done and agreed to the 2 areas now, She qualified for Milan funded and provided a down payment at the time of purchase. After signing the Payment Agreement Form and setting an appointment for her first treatment, Ms ****** changed her mind. On 7/28 Ms. ****** was given a refund for the donwpayment and released from her contract.

I went in for a consultation on June 9th. The staff was very warm and welcoming. However I was pressured to sign up for this unlimited package with a 36-month payment plan without being provided adequate time to read through the contract or get to know that I was signing up for a loan. Then, soon after leaving Milan Laser, I came to realize that there is no way I could afford the treatment. I've contacted them once to ask how to cancel this package due to the fact that if I were to continue, I would be in financial hardship. I tried to figure out ways in order to pay for this and even tried the treatment TWICE and received soreness and burns that did not go away for a week. I paid for the first month's payment which I am not asking a refund for on. I simply want to cancel my package and have the loan money refunded back to this company. I am experiencing neglect from this company's priority to have every customer walk out satisfied with their treatment, which I am not, and on top of that I have come to realize that I am extremely unhappy with the financial hit that I am experiencing right now.Business Response

I went to Milan Laser Hair Removal on 7/22/22 for a free consultation and while we discussed different treatments, my mom and I also felt pressure to sign documents without receiving adequate time to look over these documents. When we asked for the day to look over the them and think it over, we were told that we had gotten the best rate and discount and they may not be able to give us the same "low price." We did not realize it would be binding and that we wouldn't be able to cancel when I hadn't yet payed or had treatment. After being able to throughly read through the contracts on my own, I had realized that we had actually been tricked to sign for a loan when we were told it was to check for our interest rate. After finding this out, I called and am currently attempting to cancel the loan. I messaged Milan 2 days later 07/24/22 letting them know that I wouldn't like to go through with services and we were told there was nothing we could do since we had a contract. I would like to stress that I had no treatments done nor do I plan on receiving any treatments. This is causing me stress so I am hoping for immediate cancellation of my contract and not to be billed for any treatments I have not received.Business Response

I had a free consultation on 5/12/22 and after signing the contract I had first session that same day! After rushing into the decision and not discussing with the family I called customer service to cancel my contract . I decided this lifetime treatment plan wasnt for me, i would rather do pay per treatment. Manager from ************ office called me back and advised me that it is final and she cannot do anything to end the contract! I had been receiving treatments in ** for laser hair removal to two body areas since 5/13/2021. During this time I was at a location that was accessible and they mentioned that when I was to move back home, there would be a location nearby that I could use. However, that is not the case and I don't have access to get treatments anymore because I had to move home due to circumstances and have not been going in for treatments. Therefore, I tried to request that my services be discontinued and that I am no longer charged for the plan because I am not getting treatment anymore, and haven't been for a couple of months and still getting charged. In January i went into milan for a consultation. i felt as if i was pressured into picking a package because it was "the last day to get it at this price". I explained ************** my hair grows on my face and i want it gone. She said within 2-3 treatments it would be gone and i could tell a difference. Fast forward july my hair is thicker, grows fast, and i can tell no difference since starting. i called milan and was told unfortunately i cannot do anything about it and they would speak to the medical team to see what else needs to be done. I just want to stop paying all of this money $****** a month for results which i am not seeing. i started lasering to stop hair growth but it has only gotten worse. At this point i don't even care to get a refund on the treatments i had i would just like to get out of this contract or whatever it is. At my last appointment i was told i should be at a 70% hair loss. i am no where even near 5%. This was the worst money scam i have ever seen.Business Response

At the conclusion of that consultation, client purchased laser hair removal package in the amount of $******* Client had total of 4 treatments. On 7/14/22 client contacted clinic and requested cancellation of package due to lack of results. Client was offered services of medical team to advise but requested cancellation. Partial refund in the amount of $******* was submitted on 7/15/22. I was notified of BBB complaint but our Customer Resolution team had already processed refund so there was no need for me to intervene.

I went to Milan Laser for a consultation. It went well, I was given options and informed about filling out financing paperwork. It was approved and it was set. I canceled my initial appointment the next day due to work conflicts. A few weeks later, I get a call about scheduling again. I told the salesperson, that I was canceling because I couldn't afford it due to a change in finances. ************************************************************, so I was no longer in the position to get or pay for services. I was told because my loan was funded and it's a medical procedure that there is nothing they can do. I refuse to pay for services, I didn't receive and cannot afford, which is why I asked to cancel. In our purchase agreement with Ms. *****, she signed and agreed to all sales being final and then scheduled her first series of treatments on all areas on 6/27/22.
On 7/11/22, Milan was informed that Ms. ***** filed a complaint with the BBB. Our Regional Sales Manager (RSM) reached out to Ms. ***** to discuss her concerns. During this conversation Ms. ***** shared that she had financial changes that are conflicting with her laser hair removal package. Our RSM offered Ms. ***** options to keep one area, but ultimately Ms. ***** determined she needed to cancel all areas. Our RSM submitted a full refund to be processed.

I spoke with Amy, the Regional Sales Manager. She was kind, understanding of my situation , and helped me resolve the situation. She was not made aware of my situation right away but when she was informed to reached out to me quickly to help us all get to a solution.
Due to her level of professionalism and the way in which she handled it, when the time comes for me to afford the services again, I would consider Milan Laser Hair Removal.
