    I spent almost a thousand dollars in ordering plants from Nursery Hills and all of my orders came in with no problem until my most recent one. I spent extra money for a more mature plant over just a bare root to add to my established planting area. The plant came in upside in the box that was clearly marked which way was up and the plant was crushed. The customer service department wanted pictures, which I sent to simply get a reply to cut off all of the bad stems , which was the whole plant down to the pot, and simply plant it as it would be all right.??? I replied back why I spent extra to get a more mature plant and asked for either some type of refund or another plant to receive the same reply to plant the damaged one and wait for it to grow. ?? Worst customer service I have ever experienced in the area of service recovery. !!

    We were hesitant to order a tree online but we were happily surprised when we received our wisteria tree. It was boxed very well and received within days of the order. The tree has been planted for a few weeks and it is thriving. We are very pleased with Nature Hills Nursery and will order from them in the future.

    I would never order from Nature Hills Nursery in the future. I invested over $1,000 on plants all of which where delivered damaged. The customer service "Barry" representative was rude and had zero concept of customer service. In his words, it's my problem and I should send photos and they will determine if anything will be done. This was a very disappointing and costly mistake, highly recommend not to do business with this company.

    I took a chance on Nature Hills Nursery in the fall of last year (2022). I was looking for a Merlot redbud which they had in stock.
    The nursery appears to be located in NE, but my tree was shipped from CA which I did not know at the time. It was in transit for 5 whole days with temps in Maryland in the mid-80s. I emailed them my concerns about the transit times.
    It did not look great when it arrived, but I couldn't be sure it wasn't partly due to it being fall. I decided to plant the tree (as directed, even amended the soil and covered with mulch) and wait until spring to see if it made it. (Of note, Fast Growing Trees actually requires the latter, not replacing the tree until May of the next year to make sure it isn't coming back).
    The tree is now dead. The scratch test showed no green and there is no hint of a bud. When I contacted the nursery, they noted their policy is for the customer to pay 50% of the cost of a replacement and HIGHER shipping fees. It seems completely unethical that I paid $122 (including shipping) for the original tree that was most likely dying on arrive. To replace with a similar redbud, not the same variety, I would have to pay another $80 (including a higher shipping rate). This policy benefits no one except the nursery. I have paid for a dead tree.

    What a horrible experience. I'll never order from here again. Terrible customer service and manager is very rude and condescending. They dropped the ball on handling and issue, was told to give it time for plant to bounce back. It didn't. Now they are blaming me for waiting to long to report changes in plant.

    I went to their site to order a plant to be shipped to a friend.

    The very first page says, "Availablity: IN STOCK."

    The next pages, after you select the item, have "shipped in Spring" embedded in them. I missed this as I was focused on the first page.

    THIS IS DECEPTIVE! It should have said "Availablity: IN SPRING."

    So ask for an immediate refund and forget about it? NO WAY. They charge a $10 cancellation fee even if it hasn't shipped. They have this really LAME excuse that the order obligates a plant! How stupid is this? An overnight order requires a cancellation fee? For a shipment in spring?

    $10 doesn't faze me, but deceptive company actions do. I recommend ordering local plants from ***** online in the future.
