I purchased some shorts less than a week ago and I finally wore them today upon getting in my car they ripped where they wasn't sowed up correctly from the manufactor. So I was headed up to the store which is 45 mins to an hour from where I live I got hungry and stopped and ate some food and got a small stain on the leg not very noticeable but it was there I had no choice but to wear them for the rest of the trip towards the store. So I bought another pair similar to them changed in there bathroom into new shorts and tried to take the old ones back. They wouldent take them because of the small stain on the shorts. Which they were ripped and had nothing to do with the functionality of the shorts .. they wouldent honor my refund. I plan to discontinue my buisness there since they couldemt give a refund or exchange. On way out I threw away there shorts since they were junk anyway so now no hope of a refund. Anyway my wife comes there almost every weekend to buy clothes for the whole family and even gifts for friends . I will not give another red cent to this company if they dont find a way to make it right .. forst off I would have known these shorts had this issue if I was able to try them on first . There dressing rooms always say open but are always closed to where no one can try on there clothes before purchase . There excuse is they dont have the man power .. that's a whole other issue in itself. This makes this whole issue there fault for not hiring the adequate help needed to run this type of buisness . I will consider doing buisness here again if I get some sort of store credit or a refund for the one of thousands of items my money has purchased from there store my account and wife's account will be canceled I give her all the money she has ever spend there. But now we won't spend a dime there until this is resolved please call or email meInitial Complaint

I have been a Burlington CC owner for quite sometime and I am so disappointed with both Burlington and ********* Bank that I have decided to close my account after frustrating back and forth with both bank and store representatives who wouldn't simply understand my issue and give me courtesy credit of expired rewards on my account as I was for one UNAWARE of the rewards being on the billing statement and I have been always just paying online so never checked the bills. It seems like I have lost a lot of cash rewards that I could never use due to being unaware of them being there.
Just wanted corporate to know they're losing 1 good customer.Initial Complaint

Trans # ***** 05/25/2025 I entered the store with search of buying merchandise. I was able to go ahead and find what I was looking for checked out employee atthe register was very courteous helpful upon exiting as I dont frequent this location I was told by someone who I do not know who it and was not sure if they were speaking to me as they were talking on their cell phone and then it was a young African-American girl with glasses who, in a very rude manner told you cant pull the cart out of the store, and I said, excuse me, and she said you cannot pull the cart out of the store, and then she proceededto start hitting the signage in the vestibule of the store pointing out that you cannot leave the store not I am not a child. I am a grown man and someone to call me, sweetie, and start acting obnoxious in the place of business is unacceptable rude and appalling as a paying customer these types of behaviors need to be addressed And should not be allowed with staff that has no type of customer service and does not know how to engage with anyone in the general public You are more than welcome to review your cameras as this happened around or about 554 through 5:56 PM Eastern standard timeInitial Complaint

The most ridiculous policy in the world, so you’re allow to spend your money but not to use a restroom. I’m a prego woman who was spending her money at Burlington location located at *** ******** Ave Brooklyn NY. Today at 9:18 I was waiting outside of restroom about 10min an employees didn’t even look at me or any other customer waiting, she told us to go to ****** and ran away. I went to Security and the guy tried to help but manager or whoever was there said restrooms were closed and need to head out to another store, just to pee. Is that even possible? How a person can be so mean that 1sec will stop them from closing a store. I was about to purchase some stuff but since I felt so disrespected and humiliated I just left cart. Hoping to not have to go there anymore, I will encourage others to not spend even a dime at this particular location.Initial Complaint

Today I was trying to return 2 pairs of shoes that I bought there ************ was bought in April 24, 25 and another on May 1, 2025. Today is May ****** I had a received for both purchases and they are in new condition, just like I bough it. I was refused the return, as they say I return too many items and that is against their policy to accept any more returns from me. As I recall I don't have too many buys there and especially too many returns. But If I knew there's a limit to how many items you could buy or return, I would not go to that store at all. There are no clear postings about it. When I buy something, I ALWAYS ask how many days I have to return, if I have to. They have a 30 days policy in general. Nobody ever says about limited returns. But what is the limit? 2 times, 10 or 50? More? If they have such a policy, it has to be posted clearly in the store. Nobody likes such surprises. I need to be able to return items for a full refund.SincerelyInitial Complaint

1. False Refusal to Accept Return:
I purchased a pair of shoes for my daughter and returned the very next day with the receipt. The shoes were completely unworn, tags attached, and unused Despite this, the staff took one glance and falsely claimed the shoes were "worn" and refused to accept the return. The staff showed no interest in actually inspecting the product and appeared dismissive and lazy. The shoes had clearly not been used; this refusal felt entirely arbitrary and unjustified.
2. False Policy Excuse:
In a separate instance, I attempted to return unused sports bras—with tags and a receipt—purchased from another Burlington location that had no fitting rooms. I had to try them on at home. When I brought them to this store, I was told, “we don’t return bras—it’s company policy.” However, I was later able to return both the shoes and the bras without issue at a different Burlington location. This clearly proves that the policy claims made at Store #861 were false or deliberately misleading.
3. Dishonest Parking Validation Practices:
This location has numerous reviews from customers stating they refuse to validate parking unless you make a purchase, claiming it is “store policy.” Every other nearby store validates parking without requiring a purchase. This suggests management is intentionally misrepresenting policy to avoid covering parking costs and to pressure customers into spending money.
The staff at this Burlington location are rude, lazy, and unwilling to provide even the most basic level of customer service. The store management appears to be intentionally dishonest, inventing “policies” to justify refusing returns or parking validation. This is an attempt to avoid refunds and save costs at the customer’s expense.
I am asking for a formal acknowledgment of this complaint and an investigation into the store’s return and parking policies, along with training for staff to follow Burlington’s official guidelines and treat customers with respect.Initial Complaint

When going to purchase soap or fragrance there is a security guard on some days that are telling those of us who are disabled. We cannot use our walkers our scooters or a customized Walker that we have customly design as a miniature shopping cart when you asked him to show you this under federal law he cannot. When you go and let the assistant manager Marie know she defends the behavior. I have purchased some fragrance didn't like after I paid for it how host do I had been handled. I come back no more than maybe 15-20 minutes later with my receipt ask for refund. Told by some so-called assistance store manager that they don't do refunds although their receipt does not say that they will not refund especially for an item that has not been open it was just a simple body spray that wasn't sealed or package. I simply want my refund!! I was purposely given false information that their area district manager name of Catherine wise bogus number that the corporate does not have. I've been purposely lied to and I have it all on recording to prove I'd like to be able to speak with an actual corporate director to get my refund I do not want none of their products and I will not never shop with them please help me to get my money back. It's $6.35.Initial Complaint

I went into burlington to take an item back. The cashier informed me that he would have to put the money on a gift certificate receipt. I asked what that was, he said it goes on this receipt with the gift card number on it. We scan it so you cna use your funds in the store. I came back the next day to talk to a supervisor before purchasing an item. She informed me that she would have to get the cashier to confirm this information. He actually admitted to telling me this. I have audio. Then she said we'll let me call my GM to be sure we can do this. She came back 10mins later saying he would take care of it that following week so I can use my funds. I never heard back from them. I went in again she gave me the number to the NJ store, they took my complaint and said they needed to investigate it. They did and never contacted me back. A lady by the name of Irma said the investigation would be completed by the end of the week. No one ever contacted me. I called again before 4/1 to speak to someone, they lady took a message and still never heard from anyone. I have money in the store that they're keeping. I would like my refund or credit asap. I also went into another burlington. They called the supervisor there. She said sure come by here and I will take care of it. I went there and the staff told me she stepped out for lunch. I gave my number and name again. Its This is being going on entirely too long. The guy never gave me my funds to spend in the store. He gave me a receipt. He tried to fix it but his higher ups told him no. They need to hear it from him what happened and check for themselves.Initial Complaint

I went to the store and bought jeans. Once home I realized they didn’t take off the security tag. I went back to the store for the second time to get the tag removed, but they said they couldn’t do it because they didn’t believe I got the jeans from there even though I had the reciept. They said their machine didn’t allow them to remove the tag but I can get a refund if I go home and get the tag with the price for proof that I got the jeans from there, even though I had the reciept. So I went home to get the tag and returned to the store for the 3rd time with the reciept and tags, but now she says the only way I can get a refund is if I give the pants back and she won’t sell them anymore. I explained that I still want the pants however since you sold me pants with a security tag that you can’t remove, and made me return home to get another tag, I would still like a refund and to keep the pants and try to get the tag off myself. She refused to give me any type of refund or store credit and told me to burn the tag off myself with a lighter. So now I bought pants that I can’t get the security tag off of, and I didn’t get any type of refund or credit or any apology. This occurred on April 17th, 2025 at 3:16 pm is when I purchased the pants
