Hi, We are trying to pay our employees using QuickBooks online. However, our account is on hold. This is because they are trying to draft money out of an account that we do not use and are attempting to close. It is a Quickbooks Checking Account. They won't let us change which bank account we are drafting the money from. The money is there; they just won't let us pay it. More importantly, it's payday. While direct deposit isn't working, we decided to pay using ********** for this week. However, because our account is on hold, they won't let us do that, either. I called Quickbooks and they said, "just reference what you paid your employees last week." This is against GAP. We need to 1) be able to pay our fees using one of the banks we have connected to quickbooks. 2) pay our employees ASAP.Initial Complaint

I want to file a complaint. I have had THE WORST experience of my life with Quickbooks online support. I have been on the phone for over 3 hours and NO ONE has been able to answer simple answers that support representatives should be able to answer. After filing numerous requests to receive a call specifically for a supervisor, this representative had me on the line for over 30 minutes, told me he was not a supervisor, and just kept me on the line without filing a request for a supervisor. After filing numerous requests to receive a call specifically for a supervisor, ****** (ref#**********) Was not a supervisor and refused to escalate the matter to a supervisor. I had 3 previous representatives that were giving me wrong answers or stated that they didnt known how to help me and were the only ones in their department so no one else could help with the matter. Now my business has been affected by this and I still have not had my matter resolved.Initial Complaint

In short, the QuickBooks software I bought which was originally a stand-alone product, failed to reload after a crash caused by an inability to load a necessary Adobe flash program, even though it was back on the fixed same computer. Support claimed they didn't do anything. Adobe said they had not made a change in Flash and it was obviously QB's fault as the program was informing me that flash was the problem. Without being able to load QB, my data was lost since I needed QB to sort it and show it. Obviously, as soon as their streaming service was introduced, QB standalone suddenly stops working.Initial Complaint

I have been using quickbooks for years. I initially started using it through recommendation of my accountant ************************* who put me on his wholesale account charging me 50% of the regular rate for life. More recently, I saw an ad about Quickbooks doing your backend bookkeeping. I was very excited about it and they told me in order to use this service I would need to drop off the wholesale account and pay directly which would have been worth it had the bookkeeper worked out. So I did what they asked and started paying directly. I then had my setup call scheduled and they told me essentially I was too big for them to do my books and they couldnt help me. Then I tried to get back on the wholesale package and my accountant is telling me that they will not let me back on my 50% for life. I added billing back on through my wholesale account and yet I have continued to get charged on my business credit card for more than $60. I am asking to revert back to the payment system I was doing before where it was about $25 per month as it was a bait and switch to get off the platform and not let me back on.Business Response

We have an ongoing IT issue with QuickBooks Online since 9-30-22. Their IT department was granted remote access to our computers to help troubleshoot the issue but they were unable to figure it out or provide a resolution, so it was "escalated" to their higher level IT department. Initially we were told it can take up to 10 days for ************** has now been over a month and we have followed up 6 times with no response. I have tried to speak with a supervisor and I'm told they will call back, but they have not as of yet. This issue is preventing us from accurately reporting our financials, we cannot process ******************** statements/Tax and Quarterly reports etc. We are paying for a software that is not working properly. We have contacted QuickBooks multiple times but they refuse to help.Initial Complaint

Over the past three weeks, I have supplied QBs with documents they needed for a phone number verification. Multiple times I was told that they had all they needed to get the resolution pushed through successfully and that I need not call again. They told me each time that it would only be 2-3 more business days until they completed their confirmation on my phone number. All the while, I had transaction(s) help up, client work put on hold and my reputation at risk. I want funds in the account released and refunded.Initial Complaint

On August 31, 2022 my QuickBooks payroll account was hacked & 6 people were paid a total of $8439.16. 5 were paid to Green *** cards & 1 to a ********* Card. I called & froze my bank account, called QB's to let them know this was fraud, change my QB's password & filed a police report with ****** County. I was informed by ***** at QB's that they would be canceling the payroll transactions. On September 1, 2022, I had seven new transactions pending for payroll in the amount of $10,237.57 AFTER I changed my password.. All seven were paid to Green *** cards. I again called QB's & this time spoke with ***. She had me go in and void all thirteen of the paychecks & informed me that she would escalate the case for fraud. This time I went in to QB's and changed my password as well as my user name. I have been back & forth with QB's for the last three weeks & the only resolution they can come up with is that I owe them $20,000 for payroll that I didn't authorize. The payroll taxes for the second day fell off but the first days taxes still remain in the amount of $3844.58. I was assured when I uploaded documents that all would be resolved and nothing has been resolved as of yet. I don't feel as I owe this money since it is a fraud case. One of the people paid is my 22 year old son who has filed his own police report & froze his credit, 5 are in ********, 4 are in *****, 2 are in Tennessee & 1 in *******. I don't know any of the ones out of state but they all appear to be real people who have possibly been victims of identity theft. Any help is resolving this issue is greatly appreciated. I have been informed that I have until September 30 to make a down payment of around $5000 or they will send it to collections and charge 25% interest. One of the payrolls did not go through to the persons ******** have told QB's that & that I am happy to return that money to them, that amount is $1399.91. I have attached documents for the 13 people paid out.Initial Complaint

I hired Quickooks payroll when I purchased a business last August and hired them for payroll services starting September 1, 2021. It came to my attention in January of 2022 that there was an old unemployment account open with the same name and I needed to start the process of working with the old owner to get the account closed. In the meantime I began accruing late fees and penalties from the ***** *********************** and it would take weeks to hear back from Quickbooks about the issue or get anyone to reach out further on how to resolve. Fast forward and the issue has finally been resolved but late fees and penalties continue to accrue and now payments meant for current quarters are going to pay old balances. Also I sent an email to a tax representative proving that they had taken and withdrawn $8895 labeled for unemployment taxes for that time period but that TWC has only received $5996 in payments. His answer was I needed to prove it and that I had got that he could see where $3935 has posted back to my quickbooks account and even though he couldn't tell me where it went he assured me it went to other stuff and that it was my job to add up all these withdraws and prove it wasn't paid out somewhere else. They are an account company that charge me $800/month for payroll services mind you. It has been completely unprofessional, and I still don't know where this extra $4000 has gone to.Initial Complaint

Such a long story. I originally started using QuickBooks desktop 10 years ago when I started my business. I purchased this off the shelf at Office Depot if i recall correctly. Fast forward to last winter. In an effort to take advantage of some third party apps that input to QuickBooks, I switched to QuickBooks online. QBO touted things like scanning receipts, and full integration with the apps that are specific to my industry. So, after consultation with QuickBooks, they assured me that the migration process would be easy peasy. They also told me that I would have access to my Desktop account, because I wasn't moving all 10 years over, per their advice.Well, the migration process was a disaster. Missing items, wouldn't sync, missing clients, etc. I later find out the scanning receipts didn't work because QBO doesn't know how to handle sales tax. So, now my 3rd party apps wont sync invoices and more importantly, wont report the sales tax to QuickBooks. Guess what, that State doesn't like not getting paid. The final straw was last week when the access to my desktop copy, which I remind you I OWN, and only use for history (on QuickBooks advice) was turned off. After a phone call with a nice lady, who basically told me I needed to pay the extortion fee for access to a) a program I purchased in full and b) my information that is now held hostage, I requested a call from a supervisor. I received the call today (7 days later), who told me to call billing and pay them. Didn't address my issue at all C*** customer service and moreover it is theft of my information AND forbidding me access to a program I bought.I would like unfettered access to my information on Desktop. Barring that I request QuickBooks provide me a year of free access to MY Information so I can properly archive it. I would like QBO to interface as advertised. I would like QBO to accurately report sales tax as input from the other apps and fix QBO to operate as advertised.Initial Complaint

I am a self-employed Bookkeeper who has an issue with Intuit Quickbooks that they have been unwilling to resolve. June 2021 the snap receipt feature stopped working on one of my client files company id: ******************* ************************ I had over 200 receipts uploaded that I could not classify due to the taxes not mapping properly in their software. I have contacted their customer support by phone too many times to count, I contacted my Account Manager ******************************* regarding the issue to no avail. The company was unable to file their taxes and GST with CRA due to the tax mapping issue. Each month I get an email stating that their engineers are aware of the situation and working on it. I phoned in June 28, 2022 and spoke with agent ****** who volunteered to refund the monthly $33+tax fee for the past 12 months. When I tried to follow up on the request, no notes were made and the refund was not done. I phoned to follow up numerous times to file a complaint against the agent and have the recorded phone call pulled but each agent I spoke with said that a supervisor would call me back, that they would get ****** to follow up with me and or get an update and email me back. I have spent countless hours of my own personal unpaid time trying to resolve the issue without success. They are billing me continuously for a product that does not work, 1 year + is a long time and the company is being held hostage by them.I would like for the issue to be resolved and feel it is only fair that they reimburse each month's fee's that I was charged due to their product not working and them not being able to resolve the issue in a timely manner. The workaround has been hours and hours of manual data entry which is still not accurate due to the taxes not mapping properly on expenses.
