Called them for my oven not working. Tech came out pulled my stove out took off a back panel and took pictures of dead bugs and what he said were mouse droppings. Never looked at the oven at all and basically told me they would not honor their claim. I am so done with companies taking my money then finding reasons why they can't pay the claims put in.ServicePlus Home Warranty

Understandably, there are two sides to every story, and we always look for a fair resolution between all parties.The consumer placed a claim for an oven on 6/10/2024 stating the unit was not heating. The participating vendor reported the main board and control were damaged by roaches and mice. The vendor also reported the wire harness had been chewed through. As per the policy failures due to animal/pest damage is a non-covered condition.VII. GENERAL LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY D. This Agreement covers only repairs and/or replacements due to mechanical failure attributable to ordinary wear and tear. Accordingly, the Agreement does not cover failures which may result from other causes, such as without limitation abuse; misuse and/or neglect; secondary failures; lack of maintenance; rust and/or corrosion; noise without a related mechanical failure; chemical or sedimentary build up; failures due to calcium build-up; lightning strikes; missing parts; animal, pet and/or pest damage; power failure; power surge; fire; casualty; water damage; acts of God; structural and/or property damage; flood; smoke; earthquake; freeze damage; accidents; war; acts of terrorism; nuclear explosion, reaction, radiation or radioactive contamination; insurrection; riots; vandalism; or intentional destruction of property. This Agreement does not cover mechanical failures resulting directly or indirectly from or caused by mold, mildew, mycotoxins, fungus, bacteria, virus, condensation, and/or wet or dry rot regardless of the source, origin, or location and any other cause or event contributing concurrently or in any sequence to the mechanical failure. We are not responsible for drywall or rough finish repairs on not covered claims.All claims have been properly serviced in accordance with the Service Agreement, which includes both inclusions and exclusions. Canceled a year ago. They're still charging me. Do not recommend this company. After 2 claims and having to find my own technicians and still had to pay out of pocket.ServicePlus Home Warranty

They steal money out of your account. They went up on my monthly bill without informing me and when the funds wasnt available for them to take it out I received an email stating that they closed my account with them and to call them to reinstate it. Well a few days later they decided to try to withdraw money from my account after they supposedly closed it it and withdrew my funds without my permission. Understandably, there are two sides to every story, and we always look for a fair resolution between all parties.Policy Details: You purchased a monthly 1-year policy on 6/3/2022 at the promotional rate of $47.00 per month. Monthly policies auto-renew at the end of each term. Payments were received on 6/3/2022 and 7/3/2022, but the account then went into past due status until 3/10/2023.Resolution Steps Taken: On 3/13/2023, you contacted us to update your card information, and a payment was withdrawn on that date. In an effort to assist you, we waived 7 overdue monthly payments totaling $329.00. At the end of the 1-year term on 6/3/2023, the policy price increased by $10.00, and an email was sent to you advising of this change.For the new term on 6/3/2024, the system automatically increased the rate to $67.00. When you contacted us regarding these changes, we offered to lower the monthly payment to $40.00 for the remainder of the term in an effort to retain you as a valued customer.Commitment to Service: We have an unwavering commitment to uphold our founding ideals by providing industry-leading home warranty products and exceptional services to the customers we're privileged to serve. 1 starThis company ***** big time. Run as far away as you can, block their numbers. I live in an older home but we had all new appliances installed about 4 years ago. I felt it was time to protect our investment. *** explained to the sales rep that I live in the country and the closest big town/city was over an hour away. I was assured that it would not be a problem, that they have service reps from reliable companies all over the area and if needed, they would drive in from the larger city. My first 5 calls had to do with the ** running continuously. The first guy came out, said it needed a new thermostat but hed have to get an ok from Service Plus. Never heard from him again. Then they gave me the number to another contractor, but could never get them on the phone. It went on like this every month. They had me placing the calls to get appts. My ac has still not been worked on. Then I filed a service request because our seeer line was backing up into the back yard NEVER got a call about that. We ended up renting a machine to try to clear it out. That was $$$ out of our pocket. I also filed a claim to have the septic pumped, part of our contract and again, no service. Late last year, I tried to cancel the service but was told I couldnt cancel until April. I told them then to cancel it in April. Now they are ******* me for monthly payments and are telling me that my contract renewed in April. I told the they would not be getting any more $$$ from me due to their lack of service. THIS COMPANY IS THE WORST!!!! I wish I could give them a negative 5 star rating.Review fromSusan C.

1 starFrauds, ************************************************************* ******* Plus Home Warranty. Claim 1 Plumbing Leaks Gold Plan *** $500.00. Demand Water Leak Report my cost. $450.00. Repairs $ ********, Warranty wants to pay $129.00 of $500.00 for unknown hardware as excuse, Closed Claim & collecting $47.00 monthly from my bank, for **************************** ************* Abuse of ****************** for 2 Claims. Claim 2 Dryer burning smell on clothes. Paid tech $75.00 for trip to tell me to clean out duct as done next day. Did not stop the sell & told tech to come back & never did. If not fixed represented to replace appliance as same & never done. Told dangerous with burning smell & could start a fire in home. 1 starIf I could give zero stars, I would! You have to file a claim with AI. You can never reach a person. Currently, I have been on hold for 25 minutes. Ten minutes in, the recording said I had a one minute wait. I requested a call back and hadn't received one over three hours later. I have tried to file three claims, none of which they covered. In the middle of summer, my a/C went out. I never received a call from then or follow up with an appointment for repair. In the winter, my heat went out. It was 34 degrees in my house for days and none of my calls were returned...NO emails. I paid a company to fix it. Service Plus wanted to reimburse me $52.00 of the $100.00 bill...to cover the SERVICE CHARGE...WHAT SERVICE???????? My kitchen waa flooding yesterday...nothing from Service Plus. On hold now for over 35 minutes. Also, the increased my monthly payment without letting me know in advance. THIS IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY. FINS ANOTHER HOME WARRANTY COMPANY!
