I have had the absolute worst customer experience I have ever had in my entire life. I ordered Halloween costumes for my two young sons on October 3rd. Plenty of time to have them for all fall events, right? Wrong, because I ordered from Spirit Halloween! Spirit Halloween did send us an order but instead of our Halloween costumes, it was a package of cheap plastic spiders and a Halloween decoration. I let them know immediately. They assured me they would overnight the correct package. Days go by and still no package. I contacted them again, they promised to send them again. This happened over and over and over again. Here we are October 24th, still no package. They tell me now the merchandise is no longer in stock. I asked for a refund, they said they can only give me a gift card to their store. Obviously, I dont want that. I was told the only way I they will consider a refund without a gift car is if I FILE A NON-EMERGENCY POLICE REPORT. Buyer beware!!!Spirit Halloween

I ordered a Halloween costume and did not see their return policy anywhere on my paperwork or on the site when I ordered. I went to return it this week and was informed it needed to be returned by October 23. Tried to return in store for a merchandise credit and they wont even do that. They will only do exchanges. I am highly disappointed and confused why this is not written on any of the sales or order information. Such a horrible business. Just tried calling to speak with someone and the wait time is between 6 and 7 hours. Ridiculous. Such a scam.Spirit Halloween

Terrible experience.. placed an order on the 14th. Said it would be here by the 24th. Halloween is right around the corner..most activities weekend. Very upset kid with half a costume. Currently on hold with the company 40 min and counting. Says it shipped Fed ex said the label was created and never sent. To call the company.. well this has gotten nowhere. I cannot believe it. Never again, and I won't shop in store either. Awful way to treat your customers.Spirit Halloween

I went into Spirit Halloween store in ******, ** off Broadway and ****. We went looking for a costume for my Step daughter and we couldnt find the size we needed, so we asked someone for help, they said that they would be back and no one ever came back. Their customer service is horrible at this location. Everyone was just standing up at the front counter talking and laughing including the managers that were on duty at the time as well as the person that we had asked for help. We decided that if they didnt want to help us then we would just leave. We left and found the size we needed on Amazon and ordered it from there instead.Spirit Halloween

Their customer service que is "estimated 4 hours" at the moment. That isn't a real customer service line then? Who waits 4 hours for help? And all other numbers just hang up on you? They shipped only half of what I ordered and have been unreachable in even getting my money back. They have stolen money from me.Spirit Halloween

after placing my order on 09-24-23, i read on the website i placed this order on, ships within 3 business days..i receive the item 19 days later, now with this being too late, i choose to make a return and i am expected to pay the shipping fee for the mistake and misleading this establishment caused. so now i am paying for it to be shipped to me and returned, I had also tried calling to speak to someone about this matter and was told, there would be a 2-3 hour wait time to speak to someone. There is something very shady about this place, and i would not recommend doing any purchase from them. ORDER AT YOUR OWN RISK.Spirit Halloween

Placed an order on 9/21/2023 online. Was told I would have my order by 10/3. On 10/3, I wrote an email to them asking for an update. No response. On 10/7, I emailed again. No response. Emailed again in 10/8. They responded that day, saying "we have emailed the warehouse." Emailed again on 10/11 to aske for an update. No response. Finally, on 10/13, received an email saying my order shipped. It arrived 10/14 and was short 1 set of spider web curtains at $*****. I immediately emailed them, asking for them to ship the item refund the *****. They responded on 10/15 (I didn't see it until 10/16), asking for me to take a photo of the items in the order and they would "provide 2 day shipping", whatever that means. By that time, being Halloween is getting near and it was a weekend with finally not much rain in *********, ****, I had put some of the items out in the yard already so I can't take a photo. I emailed them back explaining I had already placed items in the yard and again, asked for a refund or for them to ship the curtains. Still waiting for a response. I waited two weeks for my order to ship and heard nothing. I called in, got told to call back in 20 minutes because they didnt know what was happening with my order. Called back, waited awhile longer, then got told they were cancelling my order because it wasnt shipping. Zero reason why.Spirit Halloween

Ordered 4 items online on August 14, 2023. I tried to return in store because the policy states I can if done by October 23, 2023. It is October 8, 2023 and they refuse to do a return in store because I purchased it through Klarna. Although it is not stated anywhere in their return policy, if it is done through Klarna you have 14 days to return because they force you to do it online. I talked to customer service and they said they can't do anything to help me. The only suggestion that was offered is to go ahead and send back the items which I have to pay for the shipping and take a risk that they might reimburse me. There is a big chance that if I pay to ship the items back to them that they will just keep the items and my money. No where in their return policy does it state that the stated return policy applies to everything but ******. ****** is a pay in 4 payment plan that when you use them they immediately pay the merchant in this case Spirit Halloween and then I pay Klarna in installments. Spirit Halloween was fully paid and Klarna was fully paid (which I have proof I fully paid Klarna). I tried providing proof but they still refused. The condition of the items were perfect. They started the return process but stopped then cancelled my return because of my payment method; Klarna. Again none of this was stated in the return policy that I have screen shot and read over and over.Spirit Halloween

We apologize for the confusion. Our website states that you have 14 days to return, but we no longer accept returns after October 23, 2023. Our stores are not able to refund Klarna and Paypal orders in store, but they can return to a card. Unfortunately, a return from August 14, 2023 would not be accepted.Review fromAnthony R

As an employee this place is the worst place Ive ever worked for and Ive worked at pathmark on ***** in Harlem . Horrible communication, little to no hours once the store is built. They harass costumers, and follow them around the store, just horrible people working theirSpirit Halloween
