I recently ordered one of their Animatronics for Halloween. Now I know how horrible it is to try and get help if you received a bad product. I ordered the Shorty Killer Klown animatronic and when it arrived, I could see that it had already been opened and was probably a return. But I began to assemble it, trusting that they would not have sent me a problem piece. It wasnt until I attached the head that I realized he was missing his iconic blue collar. Otherwise, he was fine. I immediately called their customer service and got nowhere. I could not even make out what the person on the other line was saying for much of it because there was so much background noise. They kept putting me on hold and coming back to ask questions-inspiring little hope that they were going to be able to help me. I was completely frustrated and disappointed, as this was a big purchase for me that I had been looking forward to for my Halloween display this year. I decided to order a Shorty costume from Amazon and try to use that collar. It arrived in 2 days and will do. Meanwhile, I left a review about this on Spirithalloween.com. Now I know why I only see good reviews there. They do not post the bad reviews. They emailed me and said they might have a replacement and then asked me to send photos. So I did. Then I heard nothing back. So I sent the reply with a photo again, and this time another customer service person told me that they had no Shorty collar that they could send me. But offered a shipping label so I could send him back. Then once received, they would send me a replacement. This would mean disassembling ****** and trying to rebox him, then taking him someplace to ship back. And TRUSTING that they would send me a replacement in a timely manner. Instead, I asked them to reimburse me for the Shorty costume that I had to buy to get the collar from. But they refused. Honestly, I will never trust them to buy such an expensive item from again.Spirit Halloween

Unfortunately I have suffered a similar fate as others. I ordered a costume online, which does not fit, took it to a store- and they wouldnt return it. I said but the website says I can return to a store- didnt matter. They would not do the return. I called customer service to ask some basic questions about online returns. Was on the phone intermittently on hold for about 20 minutes before concluding that the guy I was speaking to had no idea what I was talking about even with an order number. He did not understand the concept of a costume in a bag. I described it to him, and he put me on hold. I finally concluded that I dont want to s**** up a return by dealing with this person who knows nothing from the service line and hung up. Now Im questioning whether I should even risk sending it back through the mail after reading how many people NEVER got a refund after having paid to send things back! I am never ever buying from them online again and I think Im going to figure out how to get ahold of management or someone so that I can not just return the costume ($85) but actually receive the refund.Spirit Halloween

What awful refund policies this company has. I returned an item for a refund. It's now been a week since the item was delivered. They've acknowledged that it was indeed delivered. I've talked to support 3 times. I was finally refunded sales tax on the item after the second conversation, but was told it would be another 2 weeks to get a full refund for the item itself. In this day and time, under no circumstances is there any reason it should take over a week, which is still too long, to issue a refund. "Well the warehouse has to do it on their side etc, we can't rush the process". They're holding hundreds of dollars of mine hostage. Unless you can return to a store, which I can't...never return thru the mail. First and last purchase from this place. You'd think with a company this well known they'd have a better return/refund system in place. I'm stunned by the lack of interest in my case.Spirit Halloween

I loved the (second) Pop figure I ordered. However, it is important to note that, if your item does arrive damaged in any way, you will have to pay over $15 to *** in order to return it to Spirit Halloween and exchange it for an undamaged item. This information is on their website, but you do have to look for it. I wish I had known this before ordering, but unfortunately, I didnt find out until my figure arrived damaged with scratches. I wanted to make sure that anyone else intending to purchase was aware of the potential return/exchange policy.Spirit Halloween

Online store shoppers - BEWARE! I wish I would've seen this BEFORE I purchased from the site. I made two online orders in early October and I am immediately returned them both back. I knew that October would be a busy time, so I figured they would take a while to process my returns. It's January 5th, and I am STILL waiting on a refund. The only reason why the second refund was processed was because I filed a complaint through PayPal. I have spoken to 4 CS representatives at this point and they keep telling me the same thing. Why should I continue to wait 21 business days when it's already been almost THREE MONTHS since they received my return??? Why do they bother acknowledging these reviews with a canned response? We've obviously reached out for further assistance, it hasn't done any good thus far. Absolutely ridiculous.Spirit Halloween

I contacted Spirit at the end of October due to an issue with a costume I had purchased. They got back to me at the beginning of November and told me they would issue a refund. They called and left a message, so I called back and the person who answered the phone basically told me to call back the next day to get the original person I talked to on the phone. I couldnt believe customer service told me to call back because they refused to help. So the next day someone else calls and says theyll just process the refund for me. They take my original method of payment (credit card info) and said it would be **** business days. This was on November 7th. Once it hit 21 business days I reached out multiple times with no response AT ALL! They took my credit card info so now Im just wondering what they really did with it because here we are at the end of December and NO REFUND. They just took my credit card info for fun I guess or who knows what really happened to that information.Spirit Halloween

I purchased a fog machine on the day the stopped accepting returns. I tried it out the next day, only to find it was faulty. I called customer service to see if I could exchange the machine for one that worked. The first representative hung up on me because the only thing she would say was We dont accept returns. I then got a hold of someone in their support staff, who told me it was a known defect with the machines and hed transfer me to a representative to get a refund processed. I talked to someone, gave them my info. No refund appeared. I then called again, played phone tag, finally got a hold of someone who told me it could take up to 21 days. I have emailed a few times and have gotten the run around, with them saying it was approved by finance. And I should see it next week. Well it has been 2 days shy of 2 months and I still dont have my refund for a machine I didnt get any use out of. Ive been hung up on, got told lies, and been ignored now when I try to contact them. At this point, I will not be purchasing anything else from this store.Spirit Halloween

Horrible customer service! Ordered 5 costume on Oct 19th. Paid $25 for expedited shipping. Never got ***********. Called them and was told your package never left the warehouse. All they could do was issue a refund. Well, STILL havent gotten the money back. Its Nov 25th. Im out $180, never got the costumes and cant get my money back. HORRIBLE.Spirit Halloween

I purchased an order online due to back pain I was experiencing and was put on bed rest. I chose Priority and paid for priority shipping. I was told the order would arrive 10/25 but tracking was not working when I called they said oh you must have the wrong tracking it says you'll get it by 10/27 immediately she asked if I chose standard or economy they couldn't guarantee it be on time but I explained to her I chose and paid extra for priority. She refunded the shipping immediately without hesitation which at first I didn't think was weird. I follow up with my tracking on 10/27 and for the second time it changed and now it would arrive 10/28 I called customer service and all they said was well you'll just have to wait. But im sorry that's a sorry excuse for a company. I told them I wanted them to have the items returned to sender I no longer wanted them as I was needing the costumes by 10/28 for a party we had for my kids that evening. They said they couldn't and I would have to reject it and if I wasn't home to reject it I'd have to go out of my way waste my gas, time and money to return it back and then wait another week before they could refund. I was livid. I called ***** to see why they couldn't have the items returned turns out this company is scamming money by charging extra for shipping and actually shipping it out cheap. I paid for priority and they shipped it ECONOMY per ***** employee which is the cheapest and slowest way possible. I sent multiple emails and not one person has the decency to write back and explain how they allowed my package to be shipped cheapest way possible and yet charged 17 dollars for shipping. It's unethical for a company to profit off of shipping charges. Horrible first experience with this company and never again will I waste my time or money dealing with a horrible company as this.Spirit Halloween

I purchased an inflatable alien costume for $60 my son shortly before Halloween. He tested it and tried it on, it seemed to work fine. On Halloween we went Trick-or-Treating. After about 20 minutes, the motor of the fan started making really loud noises and the costume deflated. I contacted Spirit Halloween to ask for a refund or exchange because they sold us a defective product and received no response back. This is truly disappointing. My son had to trick or treat with a deflated costume, and on top of that he can't even ************* next year, or give it to his brother to wear another time. I could have easily bought this costume from Amazon, and they would have accepted an exchange or refund for a defective product.Spirit Halloween
