I have been a customer for over 10 years. I've never once been pleased with any aspect of their HSA service (excessive fees, delays in transfers, non-existent interest rates to name a few) but this has gotten to the point of fraud.Every year I reimburse my prior- year medical expenses I've paid. This year, my reimbursement request was shown as "processing" endlessly. It was virtually impossible to get in touch with anyone to help resolve this - they were holding my funds for no cause and refused to assist. It went like this:Request funds same as every year Wait 3 weeks Call - no answer after 30 minutes Email - response = "call for help"Call - no answer after 45 minutes Email - response = "call for help"Called at 8AM and after 15 minutes got a live person who explained that my transfer request to move funds from the account I've had for over 10 years to same bank account I use every year was placed on hold (though it only showed "processing") as it was 'irregular activity'. Someone was supposed to call to verify, she said, but of course no one did. I had to provide so much information for her to finally release the funds it felt like a scammer trying to get my personal information - ssn, dob, address, mortgage payment... it was insane. Eventually I was able to have the withdrawal processed, but this is asinine. THEY ARE WILLFULLY WITHHOLDING ACCESS TO CUSTOMERS' OWN FUNDS.I finally opened a new HSA elsewhere - I went tonight to find the balance to transfer it all and close the account and am met with "We are currently experiencing a service outage and you may not be able to access all of your accounts at this time." This is the simplest of financial transactions - EFT between like accounts. AND THEY ARE REFUSING TO LET MONEY OUT OF THE ACCOUNT I'VE HAD FOR OVER 10 YEARS. I am DONE.BUYER BEWARE: Do NOT open an account with ********************** If you have one, close it as soon as you can and go elsewhere if possible - that's what I'm doing.BenefitWallet

******************,We apologize for the unsatisfactory service you received. We had some system outage earlier this year causing delay in the posting of transactions to account holders accounts. Worst customer service ever. I've been on hold for over an hour. Is this how you treat your customers? I'm trying to get answers on my account. Is anyone working over there? I would give negative stars if I could.BenefitWallet

This the absolute worst service I’ve seen. I have been trying to reach them for the past month! Each time i stay over 45 on hold and never able to speak with an agent. Today, I called twice and after 20 minutes trying to reach the agents, i got an answer of “No agents available”, yet their schedule is supposed to be Saturday and Sunday open. I have not been able to access my HSA account because I am no longer working with the employer and there’s no way to reach. This company is stealing my money by not allowing me to access my account. They should be bring to court.BenefitWallet

Benefitwallet is the worst company and customer service experience I've ever dealt with. It was a nightmare getting my wife's name changed when we got married. I had to mail the notarized form twice. Apparently they lost the first one or never received it. I lost two months of time I could have been able to invest HSA funds. 30 minute+ hold times is apparently their standard. Now I'm in the process of mailing another form. It's been two weeks and I don't see anything showing up on the account that it has been received or processed. I'm going to assume it's been lost or still processing. Hopefully I'll find out after another 30+ minute hold.BenefitWallet

After reviewing your spouses account, we show that name on file was updated on 12/15/2020. 1 starHate that my Employer ** ****** switched over to them! Will be making it known so we don't get them again. They dont answer phone calls and there's no access to email correspondence other than an automated email.
They rejected claims to reimburse myself for MY dependent care account. They are requesting unnecessary information like the babysitters social security number which she doesn't feel comfortable giving (I don't blame her with all the scams). According to the IRS it is not REQUIRED!

They're illegaly making up their own rules and make it impossible to appeal this and I am sure its to make there entire service impossible so they keep funds. I hope theres a class action lawsuit against them! All their reviews are horrible! Please avoid them!Review fromTim P

1 starAbsolutely terrible company. Unfortunately, we are left with very little choice through my employer. They have had a complete outage since January (it's currently March) and are not allowing any money to be pulled out of my account. Absolute nonsense.Review fromVickie M

1 starSubmitted a request to reimburse myself on the web site. A week later, nothing has happened. Web site says the transaction was being held and must be reviewed, but offers no way to fix things online. I have to call and wait on hold 50 minutes to speak with a CSR who says the money will be transferred. Another week later, they call while I’m at work to say the transaction is being held AGAIN. I have to call back and wait another 50 minutes for them to say the money will be transferred. But now it’s March 1 and they’ve charged me another $3.50. And I don’t believe they will ever release my money.Review fromSteve D

Had my BW card declined when trying to make a purchase. I called their support and waited 25 minutes - finally go back up to the nurse and pay with my personal credit card. I then filled out a reimbursement request on 2/16 and it just sits there in BW with a status of "processing" I finally call today and was told my card was initially declined because my purchase was greater than 80% of MY available funds (I should have the ability to spend 100% of MY MONEY for a legitimate health cost). They also said my reimbursement request was "paused". Well apparently someone was supposed to call me to verify my reimbursement but they didn't. BW also has my email but didn't bother emailing me either. So now I have to wait 2-3 business days for my "case" to be processed and then another 5-7 business days for their bank to process. If Amazon can deliver a package to me on the same day I ordered it - you can process an electronic transfer on the same day! I have alerted the Benefits Manager at work of the situation and have provided links to online BW reviews (all 1 star). To the person responding from BW - you have a lot of gaps in your processes that need to be addressed. Looking down through the reviews for the last couple of years is an indicator they are not being addressed.BenefitWallet

**************,We apologize for the unsatisfactory service you received. Your debit card has a daily limit of $3,000 for point-of-sale transactions. We apologize for the delay in our outbound calls regarding transactions that were put on hold. After account review, your reimbursement was deducted from your HSA on 02/28. You shouldve received this in 3-5 business days to your personal account.Sincerely,The BenefitWallet Team
