    I was drawn to Vonage because they advertise that prices start at $13.99 for a single line, which seemed like a great deal. But when I called to get set up, I was told that with taxes and fees, the monthly total would be between $26 and $30—more than double the advertised rate. I understand that taxes and fees exist, but this level of markup feels deceptive. If the real cost is over $25/month, then $13.99 is clearly not an accurate starting point. It’s disappointing and feels like a classic case of bait-and-switch pricing. I expect more transparency from a company in the communications business. I ultimately chose not to go with Vonage because I value honesty and upfront pricing.

    yes, this is company is the worst on customer service. NO way of getting someone real on the phone. As they said on previous comments, an endless loop. Opened an account, promised SMS and calls recordings, etc. Fast forward 6 months nothing is working, my phone was always failing. Had to cancel my card so they stop the payments. Then I get a bill saying that as I cancelled my contract they were still charging me for the whole period, even though they didn't provide the service, and they didnt delivered as promised. I find out about this bill because they already submitted it to a Collections company. for $140 they are ready to ruin your credit score. What kind of company operates like this? With no good faith at all. AVOID VONAGE, do not lose your time and money. No one cares in there about you, they only care about taking your money and that's it

    Requested a paper billing statement from this company as I am elderly and do not have online options. My daughter spoke to two customer services reps who stated the company doesn’t have paper billing options only online. Stated if they do not have paper billing I will need to cancel service, rep asked if daughter could print out paper bills for me. She said no and asked to speak to Manager & was put on hold twice. Then service rep said they will call back in 24 hours to determine if they can send paper bills or not. Which is it, they either do or don’t provide paper bills. Service reps could not provide answers. Which is unacceptable as they should be able to provide paper bills for their customers. DO NOT RECOMMEND VONAGE. Would like formal apology and a paper bill or cancellation.

    Horrid company, cannot recommend bringing your phone systems over to here. They will just gaslight you the entire time.

    I ported my number over to Vonage over a month ago and I am still not able to send or receive calls or text messages on my number. Also, I cannot get anybody from Vonage Business to help me. The Calling que is an endless loop that never lets you speak to an actual person to solve a problem. So now I haven't even been able to use the service but I've been billed for the second month of service and at this point I just want to leave this company but how can I if I can't even reach support to port my number away? Worst support because there is literally no support at all.

    Been with Vonage for over 15 years for basic home phone service. No real problems until now when I ordered a virtual number for Mexico. I and family in MX tried it and it simply did not work. I then dialed it as 1-844 xxx xxxx ie the mexican city area code but with US/Canada country code, and it worked! so obviously it was set up wrong with the wrong country for the number. After dealing with email support telling me to reset the modem, and me explaining that the phone line works fine, the number is not set up correctly, got nowhere. Spent 2hrs on the phone with 2 different people, same thing, plus I was told to contact the Mexican service provider to find out problem, which was absolutely astonishing. Losing my patience I told them I am cancelling my service unless they can get this to work, but I need it to work, so fix it... then I was told I am being sent to account management to cancel my vonage service, so I hung up! Then I called and picked accounts/billing support, got another person who seemed to be working from the same system and told me exactly the same things over again. I just told him to cancel the virtual number, refund me all I paid, and I will decide if I want to continue with them - they did refund me. I don't want to disrupt my current service with a number I have had for decades, but likely soon I am going elsewhere. Anywhere else has to be a better option at any price!

    In terms of customer service, this company is hands down the worst I have ever encountered. We are cancelling our contract with them and we need an end date for this contract. Opened a ticket 10 days ago to find out a contract date. We have called them daily and talking via chat online everyday for over a week and today they said they are "still working on it." How hard is it to give me a simple date after checking the contract? Not hard at all. They are stringing us along because they know we are cancelling. It is a shady business practice at best. I cannot believe a company operates this way.

    I wish I could give a ZERO star. I have been told incorrect pricing over and over. They give me a promo when they know I'm unhappy. Rate is supposed to be for 12 months, but ironically, it's a different amount each month (even though it's over just a couple 10 cents, it's still higher than supposed to be). When I reach out through chat again re: the issue they assure me that my price will be the highest price charged at the time and won't go up. I have a chat transcript from March where I was told a certain amount for 12 months and a refund from the high price I was charged. No refund has been given and like I mentioned the pricing is still raising each month :( When you call you can't get anyone. When you log in to chat is a LONG-drawn-out process and you can tell by the name and grammar the person is foreign, making it even harder to understand and resolve. I know I should cancel because the only calls that come to this # are telemarketers. We all have cell phones in our house to use. It's just for sentimental reasons that I still have the # because I've had the # since college and I have a very special voice message from my grandmother who is now deceased on this line.

    My husband went out and just got a house phone for us 4 months ago or back in April and I didn't want it because I have a cell phone through consumer Cellular one of the best! And I called them five or six times to tell them to send me labels to send the stuff back the boxes were never opened. My husband said he did not sign an agreement!! If I could give them a zero I would but that is not allowed. So finally I got through to the cancellation department which I've gotten a hold of before and nothing was done about it. And they charged me $92 because they said I was under an agreement and my husband said no we're not that's what the guy at the Vonage store told him. Bad customer service the worst anywhere that I have ever dealt with. Do not use Vonage for anything! Ridiculous, Vonage will rip you off and especially if you're a senior citizen! And I'm going to put this all over *********

    This business has been continuing to bill us months after closing our account, almost $100 a month. We have opened cases, emailed back and forth, and been told our account was closed but the billing still continues. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NO INTERNAL COMMUNICATION WITHIN VONAGE.
