Sad I was charged to cancel but wasn't given total. Of course until next morning when my bank account was $100 short. It would've been great to know when I was canceling online. Bad customer service. I even contacted them immediately to reconnect but still wouldn't help me.

An absolute disgrace of a company. No way for you to talk to anyone with authority no matter how many times you call / email / chat. They say their porting department is "offline". All you can talk to is reps in India who can't do anything except apologize and "open tickets" that stay open forever and don't go anywhere. They have wasted my time for 23 days trying to do a simple number porting from *******. Super frustrating. Don't waste your time with Vonage please.

I would give zero stars if it was possible. They make it extremely difficult to cancel. When trying to cancel, they will give you a low promotional price that then raises up month after month. I had a hard time canceling. When I was finally able to cancel, it was conveniently for Vonage on the 2nd day of the billing cycle. Because you are billed a month in advance, they will not refund any money, even though they are not providing any service. A year after cancelling, I am surprised to see that I was sent to collections for $20. Do yourself a favor and pick a company with integrity.

I cancelled my vonage home phone service more than a year ago. And they still keep calling me that they are going to lower my bill. Every time they call me I mention the same that my account has been closed for more than year and one person even mentioned that they will make a note to not call me but after 2-3 weeks calls started again. Just this past week or 10 days I got three calls from them. I don't know how to make them stop calling me.

They are doing a bait and switch. They charge a low price for six months and then raise the price. If you try to cancel before TWELVE months, they charge $30. Be careful...they want their money.

Worse customer service.Untrained unprofessional staff to handle the call.I used their service more then 10 years. When I want to switch to another company they gave me very hard time .It took months for switching. Now they send 17 dollors balance to collection agency, even our phone line down for 2 months. We spoke to remove the bill but put down the call few times.I don't think they deserve to do bussiness in ******.I highly recommend not to use their services.

I've had Vonage for over four years they've been OK they recently took our phone systems away from us from our corporate so we had to cancel the account at which point salesperson talked me into trying them with my other business I asked some questions because we had a fax for a long time and I wanted to try to keep that for my ******** agency that was taking the phones away they give me a price told me I had to have the equipment to use for the fax at which point I went on bored with them the reporting of the facts went wrong in all aspects at which point I finally two months later achieved reporting this fax into them call them to activate their equipment spend a whole day with them at which point they told me oh we're sorry but you'll have to buy another line for that fax to work so I port of my phones away and call them back to cancel I told him that initially when they told me I had to have the extra line that that wasn't part of the contract at which point I call them the cancel and they want $650 for canceling the contract early I told them I'll see you in court I won't pay you a dime stopped all credit. I hope they go to court so I can counter sue them for loss of business stay away from this company they've gone to hell no phone service from a phone provider

I had been a Vonage customer since approx 2011. In that time I was set up with auto pay and never missed a payment or bounced payment. In early June I discovered my debit number had been stolen. I canceled the cc. On June 6 I had spinal fusion surgery and was in the hospital. The day of my surgery I missed the first payment to Vonage. I didn't see any emails from Vonage as I was recovering in the hospital. July 6, my auto was declined. I called Vonage to pay the bill of $49.36 I got a rep that didn't speak English well. (I have since discovered all of their rep barely speak English.) I asked if they would waive the balance and cancel the account. She said she can't take payment but would cancel it. I hung up w her and "paid" online. I thought the matter was handled. 2 weeks later I saw the amount had not been deducted from my bank. I thought they probably wrote it off since I cancelled the account. 3 days ago I get a collection agency letter trying to collect on $49.36 I called Vonage to pay and they said they can't I'd have to pay collections. I called collections today and made the payment. I called Vonage to dispute the credit reporting. If the original agent had told me if I canceled the account first the payment wouldn't go through, I would have paid first and called her back. I have called Vonage half a dozen times and have been hung up on dropped and refused to let me speak to a manager. Once I finally got through, Vonage tells me it will take 2 business days to see my payment. Which puts it at Sat on Labor day weekend, right at 90 days. I never had a problem paying the $49.36, my problem was with the terrible customer service and lack of communication. I will continue pressing the issue and I hope they can help me resolve the situation. I have had 100% on time payments and do not want this on my credit report. I will never have Vonage service again and will be telling my friends and family as well. Thank you. Sincerely, ***** ** ******

The fact that the young lady said she was doing business out of India and has my account information. Makes me very wary still waiting for a supervisor to return my call which is never going to happen it's a scam company they need to be reported by every outlet there is. I don't believe this company is legit or even liable to be a company refunds should be issued.
