I participated in a Focus interview on May 19. I was told that I should receive my $70 gift card within 20 days. Today is day ************************************************************************************************* processing it seems to me that theyre holding the incentives that participants are entitled to. I did business with them when they were SCHLESINGER and never had this problem. I am beyond disappointed, particularly since I continue to receive notifications of potential opportunities that I definitely will not choose to participate in since I have not been paid for my time and effort.

I did a focus group over 5 weeks ago and still have not gotten paid. It says processing. I am infuriated by this. You want people who will do your groups but, not compensating them for it is ridiculous. Lying and saying you all will pay but, you havent. Its been over 5 weeks. I want what I was owed. If I dont get what I am owed I will no longer participate in any groups and I will make sure my friends and family know not to do any groups with you all because you lie about paying people. Ive read your reviews and they are horrific. I want my money that I am owed. Why is it so hard to pay people? You want them to go to your groups but, you are refusing to pay. Its been over 5 weeks. Something, needs to happen ****!

Like most other reviewers, I remember when this company operated under Focus Pointe Global and Schlessinger Group...pre 2020, it was a fun occasional side income. You'd travel to the testing site, they'd offer snacks, you'd have the opportunity to give feedback on a product, new tv show, mock jury trial, etc., and you'd leave with your incentive, end of story. People participate in these market research projects as a way to earn some side income. There is no legitimate reason for needing a 6 week processing time to compensate participants. We are not being vetted for a special operations unit or the ***, and no one is earning 10k, doing a focus group. Obviously competing market research firms are able to process payments in a matter of days, at most, and are not being forced to go under, due to fraudsters. What could possibly take them so long? Verifying things like IP addresses to accounts takes literally seconds. I can't imagine the company's clients would be pleased to know it takes this long for participants to be paid. The only reason they've managed to continue getting away with this is because typically there's not huge overlap or repeat participants, so they can find new people that don't fully realize the time frame, or the occasional person who is ok with the wait, (which is a very small segment of those applying to studies). Sooner or later, it will become impossible to recruit enough willing and qualified participants.

I have done a few focus groups with Sago and they are constantly poor pay. They have a system that you can pick a virtual gift card or a physical gift card. Weeks and weeks go by without receiving the physical gift card. The company does not reply to emails and trying to contact by phone you get a message no one is available to take your call. In the past when I was able to contact by phone, the office blames the delay on card services....Sago is receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars from groups wanting stats on focus groups and holding the funds for unreasonable amounts of time....

I participated in a survey. I chose a $50 e-gift card as my incentive. The email I received said that in approximately 20 days I would receive my link for my gift card. Today is day 28, I still haven't received it. I've done surveys with this company in the past I've never had this problem until now.

This is the worst focus group company. I did a focus group with them over a month ago. It's well past the 20 days to process. I contacted their customer service so they can make sure that it goes through so I can receive my payment, but they are not getting back to me. They owe me over $250, They are such a scam. They say that the processing time doesn't include weekends or holidays. And then after it's processed, if you want a physical card, then you have to wait another 7-10 days. When they were Schlessinger, they were so good. Now they are awful!Oh yeah, I did this focus group in person. Other focus group companies pay you at the end of the session if you go in person or they pay you in 2 weeks if you do it online. But not Sago, they are crooked.I think they don't have enough money to pay their participants so they have to wait. Or they are hoping their participants will forget or lose track of the money they are owed.***, please flag this company. There's no doubt they are hiding and stealing money!

We are on Day 26 of not being paid. Every other focus group company I have completed one for pays same day. I feel like they are holding my payment hostage.

I participated in a focus group on 1/14/25 - $35 for survey. And if selected, for a video interview, (which I was), I was to be paid, $150. This video interview was on 1/23/***** money didnt get into my focus wallet until 2/7/25.I selected some monies to go to an Amazon virtual gift card, with hopes that I can get it right away. However, I now have to wait 20 MORE days for my incentives. I would never do another focus group with Sago again. I was here before the switch, and I was always paid in a timely manner. This is totally *************** better Sago

Use to be great. Would pay timely for participating in studies but now it takes months to get paid. I reached out to support for status on Payment and got no response. The use your time but do not pay. Use them with caution.

This organization needs to be shut down or sued into bankruptcy. I participated in good faith in one of their studies on October 28th with a promised payment of $125 and never received any notification of where my money is or how to obtain it. I have called and emailed multiple times with no responses or answers.
