  I am disabled and started to receive disability checks this year and on top of that I have ***** and *****, so I decided I would go to someone for the first time ever to do my taxes. I was hoping that they would know the in's and out's of taxes and get money back that I did not know about was available because I own a house and have kids and whatever else I may be eligible for.I went shopping around for prices before I chose anyone to do my taxes and because I had worked at ******** the gentleman said I would get a discount at the ******* Jackson Hewitt location. I decided they would be the cheapest because of the discount, so I went to ******* after setting up an appointment and a newer gentleman told me it was going to be a different price of $133, which still was not bad. The guy put in my wife's and kids information and taxes and asked for the kids birth certificates and social security cards. So I had to run home and get them and when I got back he asked for my wife's and my cards, so I had to run back home again and grab our social security cards. When it came time to put in my information, he told me that because I did not have a ******* W2 that I would not get the discount, So we still continued on and then he said it was going to be a cost of $452 and because my wife and I figured that he did a big part of our taxes, we felt we had to let him finish the rest of our taxes and go above and beyond to find us more money that we can get back. All the gentleman did was just entered our information on the website and charged us the cost of one of my wife's paychecks.I would not have been disappointed if I was charged the price I was first told or even the second price as well as to be told I would get a discount but then tell me I wasn't going to get the discount. Also to not ask questions that could possibly help with getting a bigger tax return is what caused me to want to never go back to Jackson Hewitt.

  Tried them for the first time this year and definitely was not impressed!! Half the refund and twice the fee as the preparer from last year with basically the same information. Wont use again.

  The tax preparers working there are incompetent. Had to go back twice, wasted almost two hrs on a ************ and federal return. They kept telling me I owe money, they could not get any tech support when their credit card machine wasnt working. They had no idea if I was charged, or if my return went through. Then told me at the end, it was too early to file my state taxes, so I would need to return. One month later, I have only received my federal refund. I cannot locate my state. I call them and apparently they never filed it. They told me because they were filed on separate dates, it would need to be mailed in. Well thanks for telling me!!!! I paid YOU to do my taxes.You dropped the ball. Had I not followed up, they would have never been filed. Now I will be waiting weeks on a paper return, if they actually mailed it in, like they said they would. The ***** number was no help. Told me to go back to my local office. Why would I want to deal with them again? I want to be refunded for what I paid for them to file my state taxes. Might as well have done them myself. 0 stars-You have lost a customer.

  They lied about price and out come got worse, One of the regional Managers lied to me. Never followed through with her Promise still hasn't to this day Nothing has changed on my end for years. 60 to $90 every year, all of a sudden, 280. She says well, that's just what we charge.her name Is *************************** She said she would make it right and never did.

  Jackson Hewitt Buyer Beware March 5,2023! Today 2023 Jackson Hewitt Office ********* ******* prepared my taxes short form today and charged me $250. Jackson Hewitt Company March 2024 sent me an email if I turned my tax information by February 29 2024 which I did I would receive a 30% discount. In 2022 same ********* ******* office same short form $158. Conclusion; 2022 tax prepare fee charge $158 for 2023 tax prepare fee a 36.8% increase. The office manager also told me she gives all her customers a senior discount Book my appointment ********************** Tax time brings special benefits for seniors like you, including exclusive savings on tax prep at Jackson Hewitt! THE BEST PART? SAVING 30% IS ONLY THE BEGINNING.

  I have been a Jackson Hewitt Loyal Customer for 8 plus years. Your tax preparer ***************************** out of **************, ** is one of the worst tax prepares. She messed up my taxes twice and now has caused the *** to give me my refund back in 9+ plus weeks due to her not putting in my information correctly. The first mistake she never put in my loan request and blame it on the bank saying they didnt accept me for the loan. Since I have been with Jackson Hewitt I received the high loans amount ever year so I knew something was wrong. So I called the corporate and found out that a loan form wasnt even submitted by *****************************. She then said that she would give me 175 dollars off of her fee and I agree. Then weeks later I try to access my ITS transcript to see when my taxes are going to clear and find out I have to verify my information. I call ***************************** and she curse me out and start to be very disrespectful and say she did her job and she doesnt no why the *** need info and that it has nothing to do with her. I go to *** today and find out that Ms. ***************************** put my information in wrong and that why Id didnt receive the second loan and I have to wait for 9 weeks to get my taxes. I then call her and tell her that I need a full refund of her fee that she is charging me over 700 dollars cuz she didnt do her job correctly and she goes off and blaming everyone else for her mistakes and say that she isnt perfect and i am not getting a full refund cuz she did her job. Jackson Hewitt this is unacceptable and I dont want nothing to do with this company if they dont handle this situation.

  I always go to Jackson Hewitt. They have always been great about getting me the most money back. They're team is great. *************************** was a great preparer for me. Thank you so much. I will continue to go to Jackson Hewitt years too come.

  I have never had an issue with my taxes until I used these services this year ****! The *** has placed me under identity thief because of Jackson Hewitt. The day I did my taxes I was told I was not allowed to receive a print out of my completed taxes according to management and was not given no other options to obtain them. I was assisted with an online account days later from the call center. I stated I did not want to complete my taxes because of the ridiculous fees and was told I would have to pay the $300 right now that was borrowed when I started my taxes with my paystubs in Jan ****. Of course, I did not have that and was forced to complete my taxes. I contacted corporate three times for a total of three weeks and each time was told I would be contacted by the district manager and still today 2/21/24 no response via email nor phone. They charged me about $1300 to complete my taxes for taxes that were not even done correctly in the first place. According to the policy they are responsible for mistakes on your taxes but they will not help you fix anything dealing with the ***. I am furious at this point. Please just do your taxes your self. I dont understand how a company has everything, Photo ID, SS cards and birth certificates to complete your taxes and still end up with an identity thief situation. This has been the worst experience Ive ever had to deal with, with a "professional tax place". !!!! Horrible.!!!!

  I was overcharged for my package at jackson hewwit.I have spent 6 days trying to contact management and I have gotten the runaround. No answers, no call back. complete neglect. This is my first time and my last time using their services.
