  Horrible!!!! Input the wrong banking information for my direct deposit only to be told my returns have been flipped into paper checks now. Greedy money hungry old women very nasty attitudes when calling for updates on return. Never ever again! Jackson Hewitt needs to compensate me for the $$ I spent for my taxes to be direct deposited.

  Was lied to about the cost of service $100 and was told repeatedly the cost was $100 and wasn't given any paperwork after service was complete and ended up costing me $450 so a $350 difference stay away from these SCAMMERS will steal your money !!!!Jackson Hewitt tax **** off !

  Stay away from their tax prep service and advance refund scam. We went into the little ******* Jackson Hewitt stand on ********************* in ***** *****. We had been quoted over the phone tax prep cost of $99 and told there was no fees for the advance refund. So we went to them instead of doing it ourselves like past years. Upon finishing the taxes the woman made us sign BEFORE she would go over the fees, we went along aand that was the only part on us. Proceeded to tell us we had been charged $700 roughly for tax prep and advance refund fee, we were able to get a discount from our employer for bringing it to $550 roughly. It gets worse. The whole reason we went in was for the advance, where we were told we wouldnt know how much they would advance until we left and set up the prepaid card they told us it would be onand end the end got like 20% of our taxes advanced which was less then we even needed so all of that was a waste. No where do they have pricing. Their website even is unable to provide a price point it even starts atonly mentions online filersstay away and beware. Its super shady.

  Last year the Jackson Hewitt Office I use every year placed the wrong mail address on my tax returns as I moved and do not have mail forward. I called them on it and said there is nothing they can do but said he would change mail address.As I was not going to do business with that office anymore, I went to the ******* by me and filed this year. After 3 hours at home, I noticed he too placed the old mail address on the tax forms. So apparently that other s**** up office never changed the mail address. I called the ******* office and apparently gave me the brush off as he said he was with another client and will call me back. He never called back.These Jackson Hewitt tax preparers are are only concerned to get the taxes filed and taking your money. They don't care about their s**** **** Never do bushiness with Jackson Hewitt again.

  On January 17 and 18, I went to Jackson Hewitt with my W-2 to file my taxes. I forgot to bring my **** A form, which is why I had to return on the 18th. A white male accountant did the majority of my taxes on the first day; however, I was missing a **** A form. He informed me that this was his first year at Jackson Hewitt because he was making a lot of mistakes on my return, and he had to call other Jackson Hewitt accountants to get help. I was also there for about three hours as opposed to the usual forty-five to one hour. He had a lot of problems when filing my taxes. The person who eventually prepared my taxes was *****************, she arrived to Jackson Hewitt's office on the second day of the eighteenth. On the 18th, *************** had to fix several errors that the previous tax preparer had committed. She added a good deal of unnecessary items to my taxes that shouldn't have been there. I showed her my receipts, for instance, which indicated that I earned $1,800 in household employee wages in 2023, by babysitting other people children. I also showed her the I made approximately $9,000 in wages I earned from landscaping that was not included on a **** or W2. This was money I made on the side. She essentially made up some numbers on my return so I could receive a larger refund, but many other things they did were inaccurate as well.

  Jackson Hewitt are scamming many people with their advance loan option. The ******** malabar location in ******* will tell you that you are filling out the application for loan advance when they steal your info and file your taxes. I emailed my W2 to the preparer and she said I would get a loan option sent through text to deny or confirm. The minute I walked out she filed my taxes...against my permission when I made it very clear I did not want to file with them. Now I have to get a lawyer, filed a police report and won't get taxes at all. Stay AWAY!!!!

  I would give them -50 stars. They had no clue what they were doing and the "tax pro" just got up and left in the middle of filing the papers.

  The advance loan is THIEVERY! I was only approved for 500 but I get ****+ back from federal alone! And the condition was I HAD to file with a tax preparer and that fee is over 400 dollars. Which is ridiculous because I'm taxes are simple and i normally file it myself. I ONLY reason I used Jackson Hewit this time was for the "loan" to pay some bills early. They do not tell you beforehand what the amount will be before agreeing. I will NEVER use them again!

  I had an appointment at 11:00. When I pulled up a gentlemen was trying to walk in the business. He said the door is locked. I sat in My car and watched the gentleman get back out of his car at 11:20 and check the door again. It was locked. I called the ***** Jackson Hewitt number and a live representative called the local office and was on the phone with the worker. She unlocked the door and I walked in. When I was inside the local office I heard the woman speaking about me saying how ruled I was on the phone. I never once spoke to her because she wouldnt answer the phone. I was speaking to the live representative. Then She was on a call with another coworker and she stated my full name to her. I told the worker why are you talking about me. She said it wasnt about you it was another name similar to you and she had an appointment at 11:00. I told her that was me. You have been in this office the whole time and wouldnt unlock the door. The lady continue to talk to her coworker about me saying it wasnt that serious and was mad because I called the ***** number. I ended up calling another location out ****** and they stated I was more than welcome to bring my paperwork there and they would do my taxes that a lot of customers are having issues with the location at 22nd and *********** went back to **** and ******** and told them to throw or shred my paperwork that I was not filing with that office. I tried calling multiple times and the lady at the front desk wouldnt answer my calls. When I walked into the business she literally wasnt doing NOTHING. Very unprofessional and literally I dropped my paperwork off at 11:30 and my paperwork was still sitting there at 2:30.
