******************,Noted your concern. We have internally investigated it as we take every complaint seriously. The concerned recruiter confirmed that he had reached out to you for an opportunity with one of Artechs financial services clients for an IT Business Analyst role. Unfortunately, he was unable to take this forward the client was looking for candidates with BFSI experience. I can certainly assure you the job opportunity was a genuine one. Having said that above, I would like to inform you that Artech is a #1 Women owned IT staffing company in the ** that employs around ****** employees globally. Apart from the **, Artech has offices in ******, ************* as well, Artech has around 100 Fortune 500 clients in the ** and our team of recruiters (in ***** & the **) work towards finding suitable candidates for the US client contract job opportunities. I was very close to be scammed by this company too. The sent me a job description and asked for interview dates then they sent me an email asking for very personal information including social security number, date of birth, the normal veteran status, ***, etc... I only responded to part of that but when they requested SSN without having an offer I stopped. I then tried to call them and their number is disconnected, all the numbers they used to call me are now unreachable. There are clearly SCAMMERS!!! Please beware!!!! DO NOT ANSWER or access the links they send you. They tell you they are the direct representatives for certain reputable companies and THEY ARE NOT! They just want to scam you.Artech Information Systems L.L.C.

I recieved a call from *********************************** stating he is a recruiter from this company. He was very nice and seemed professional eager to get me into this job offer at ****** Permanente. It all seemed perfect for me sadly I am desperate and in need to find a job. He asked me for my birth month and day and the last for of SSN I told him I was not comfortable doing that over the phone didn't feel it was needed until the legit hiring process. He said it was 1 of the requirements in order to proceed with my application He said he understood and I could send it over through email to him. We hung up and shortly 1 min after I recieved a very persuasive legit email from him with the job offer and details. I had a gut instinct to research the company just because I got scammed recently with another company. And this is the first site I came across. This company is scam ?? sadly I am glad I didn't reply or provide any further information. About 5 mins after we hung up he called me again to ask me to please reply to email with my last 4 ssn and I confronted him and told him they are scammers , that I don't appreciate them trying to scam me in these times as well. I am unsure through what application He got my information. I have my resume uploaded on a couple of apps just because as mentioned I am need of a job.Artech Information Systems L.L.C.

************************,Upon receipt of your BBB complaint, we initiated an inquiry.Heres what our inquiry revealed: ************************************* is indeed a recruiter of Artech LLC and is part of the team that works on finding suitable candidates for job requisitions/opportunities from Artech various clients (****** Permanente is one of its clients). The **************** representative contract role shared with you was a genuine job opportunity released by the client on December 4, 2023 II.******** was stating a fact when he mentioned that one of the requisites to submit a resume for any contract role at ******, would be to provide a Secure ID (last 4 digits of SSN + 2 digit birth month, 2 digit birth day + first initial of first name and first initial of last name) Without which suppliers like Artech will not be able to complete the resume submittal at the client portal.III.As a staffing agency providing contingent workforce to various clients, Artech is required to adhere to the specific program guidelines laid down by each of its clients. In this instance ****** Permanente specifically requires all its Vendors (Artech being one of them) to procure the above-mentioned personal information in order to create a secure ID at the time of resume submission for a job opportunity. Since I am unable to paste a screenshot in this response, I will send an email to you directly with the screenshot of the client portal. This is the only reason *********************************** requested you to provide your personal information.IV.I reviewed the one email ******** sent to you, and it only had the details of the contract job opportunity and there was no mention of a job offer. V.To provide more clarification, I am giving below a typical workflow of the recruiting process: a.Client releases job requisitions to all its suppliers (staffing agencies like Artech)b.Suppliers recruiters start looking for suitable candidates to be submitted for the job opportunities. c.The recruiters submit the candidate resumes after vetting the candidates and procuring the necessary information via email (viz: Right to represent with pay rate confirmation, personal information to create a secure ID & the latest updated resume) d.The client would then review the submitted resumes and shortlist for interviews. Then the client would inform the relevant suppliers to coordinate and schedule the interviews. e.After the interview is completed, the client will inform the suppliers if they want to hire a particular candidate. Then the recruiter will reach out to the candidate to make a verbal and written offer to them and begin the onboarding process. VI.If you notice the email ******** sent to you was the first step in the above process. Unfortunately, he could not submit your resume even though you may have been a good fit, since he did not get the necessary information to complete your submission in the client portal. IV.Artech is neither a fraudulent company nor is it into scamming or misusing personal information. FYI, Artech is #1 Women owned IT staffing company in the US. We have around 100 Fortune 500 clients and our team of recruiters work towards finding suitable candidates for the client jobs just the way ******** reached out to you for ****** Permanentes contract opportunity. You can check *************************************** to know more about Artech, its clients and practices. If you are still unsure about Artech and would prefer not to involve us in your job search anymore, please reach out to me directly at the email id: ******************************************* We will mark you 'unavailable indefinitely' and remove your resume from our database and redact your contact information as well, so you do not receive any notification or job alert from Artech, going forward. Please do let us know. We wish you the very best in all your future endeavors. Thanks & RegardsReview fromGinger C

It is funny how a represenative from your company always has a rebuttle for the bad reviews however, the predatory behavior still exists from you company. A woman awned company yet on your linkden profile it states that you are owned by some doctor in *****. Yes, your staff has been harassing me all day long. Countless emails and phonecalls back to back. Wanting to know where I graduated from, my personal information such as my date of birth and even the last 4 of my SS#. ****************,We received your complaint via BBB. An investigation was initiated immediately to look into your complaint.Firstly, it is standard practice for companies to respond to and/or rebut complaints, concerns, or reviews. Artech is not unique in doing this.Secondly, Artechs LinkedIn profile has only the name of its *********Founder, *******************************. So, we request you to cease and desist making false claims of Artech being owned by some doctor in ***** in future. Our investigation revealed that Artech recruiters reached out to you for **************** representative roles with 2 of its major clients in the past couple of months. In both the instances the recruiters provided the names of the clients and the complete job details, provided by the client, to you. Artech recruiters are required to follow the relevant clients program guidelines while recruiting. So, a candidates DOB & last 4 digits of SSN are solicited only if a client requires that information to complete the resume submittal at the clients ***************** System. Our records indicate that you were contacted by both the local recruiters in the US as well as recruiters based out of Artechs ***** office for the above-mentioned opportunities. The US recruiter stated that you mentioned that you were more confident to talk to her about job opportunity. She also mentioned that she had to follow up with you as she had not received your Right to Represent email confirmation that you had promised to send to her. Since she did not receive the Right to Represent confirmation email, she was unable to submit you for the opportunity. This place called me 4 times in 5 minutes using 2 different numbers. Indian guy called and is offering a job. Not sure how he got my information. I have never worked with this company before and my resumes online are not searchable. Seems like they are phasing for information. Highly suggest that they be investigated immediately. Numerous online reports on online forums such as reddit also talk about this exact company on how they give you the runaround for more and more information and never put you into a position. ************************ Noted your complaint to BBB. We take any complaints or concerns raised by candidates very seriously and initiated an investigation with the internal recruiting team, that reached out to you.The recruiting team member that reached out to you regarding job opportunities with Artechs clients mentioned that your profile seemed to have 2 contact numbers and so reached out to both. The individual who answered the 1st call mentioned that he was a friend of yours and requested the recruiter to send a brief text with the job details and the recruiter complied. When he contacted the 2nd number, you indicated that you were not interested in the opportunity. Before he could document your disinterest, another recruiter had already reached out to you via email. Upon receiving your email confirming your disinterest, the 2nd recruiter took immediate action to mark you unavailable indefinitely in our database so no other Artech recruiter would reach out to you in future. I am addressing below each of your concerns.I.Artech recruiters have access to resumes only through Artechs Applicant Tracking system and do not search for resumes outside of the Artechs ATS. So, we believe that your resume may have been posted to a job board and that is how the Artech recruiter was able to ******* in Artechs database and reached out to you.II.The ****** post you are referencing is more than 4 years old and we have reached out to ****** to establish Artech as a legitimate staffing company that on-boards several hundred employees to work on its client assignments every single month. For now, the post has been archived and no new comments can be posted or voted on. We are also taking measures to address complaints or posts on a real-time basis.III.Artech is neither a fraudulent company nor is it into scamming or phishing or selling personal information. ******************* from this company sent me a text message early this morning for a Part TIme REMOTE Project Coordinator 1 with ****** I research all numbers and emails I receive, as I have been contacted by many scammers. I replied "Yes, I am interested." He immediately responded with, "Can I call you now?" I text him that his phone number is reported as a scam and asked if he had a Linkedin profile. No response. I noticed his email and information seemed to be legitimate. I decided to respond to his email and sent my resume. I then called the number and he did not answer in a professional manner. There was a lot of background noise like you hear when a telemarketer calls you. He was asking obvious questions about my resume that seemed weird to me. My last position shows my end date and he asked me if I worked there and I told him no, and that is why I am looking for another position. He then said, asked if I was ok with working for this client on a part time basis. I told him yes. He then said Ok, I just checked and it looks like this position is on HOLD! I can let you know if something else comes up. The conversation ended quickly and awkwardly. Something seems very off about this whole interaction. Now I wonder what they really do with your information. When I looked his number up on ******* it comes up as a reported scam on the Robokiller site.Artech Information Systems L.L.C.

Do not work for this company. I was hired based on my looks. They thought because I was attractive woman I could help keep clients. They lied about my salary, I couldnt afford my bills and they told me I had to still travel and take clients out. This company caused me so much stress it put me in the hospital. They should be shut down for all their sketchy transactions. ***************************,I hope you have no objection to being addressed as *********************** since all our records have it as your legal name and not ******************* that is in your complaint. Further to your BBB complaint, we conducted a thorough investigation. Artech refutes your complaint in whole and has also provided responses refuting the individual statements in your complaint:Your Statement: I was hired based on my looks. They thought because I was attractive woman I could help keep clients. Artech Response: Artech has been in the staffing business for over 30+ years and has never ever resorted to such cheap tactics nor will it ever stoop down to such low levels. As you are aware, Artech is an EEO employer that follows the hiring policy defined in its employee handbook. See excerpt below: 2.8 Equal Employment Opportunity _________________________________________________________________________________Employment decisions at Artech are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities. Our goal is to be fair with all employees and applicants. Consistent with that goal, it is our policy not to discriminate in employment opportunities or practices on the basis of race, color, religion, ***, national origin, age, physical or mental disability or handicap, medical condition, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic characteristic, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local law. Discrimination or harassment of any applicant or employee based on these protected classifications is strictly prohibited and will not be allowed.Artech hires on the basis of candidates skills, ability and knowledge and stands by the internal processes it has put in place to ensure qualified candidates are deployed on its client assignments. Your Statement: They lied about my salary, I couldnt afford my bills and they told me I had to still travel and take clients out. This company caused me so much stress it put me in the hospital.Artech response: At the conclusion of your interview process, you were given an offer of employment detailing the Artech employment terms and conditions including your annual salary. After reviewing the agreement, you indicated your acceptance by affixing your signature to the employment agreement and then commenced your employment at Artech. If you review your paystubs, you will see that during your entire stint at Artech you were compensated as per the agreed rate in your employment agreement. You were not coerced to accept this offer at any time during the hiring process and were at liberty to refuse the employment offer if you believed there was any misrepresentation by Artech. Also, this was an at-will employment that either party could choose to terminate at any time.During the interview process, you were informed that this role required travel. Plus, it was mentioned in your employment agreement as well. See below: Work Location: This position 'reports to' the **********, ** office location on a full-time basis. This position may require travel to visit Artechs locations, external business contacts, clients, customers, and vendors. You were also informed that expenses incurred relating to any business travel would be reimbursed by the company. Despite being given the option of taking ****** or car rental, you chose to use your personal vehicle for business travel. Our records indicate that you have been reimbursed for mileage, parking, and meals for every business travel that you undertook. As for your claim of hospitalization, we are not able to find any record of it nor are we able to find a request from you to avail time off for hospitalization for any illness (physical or mental) during your stint at Artech.Your statement: Do not work here unless you want to be sexually harassed by off shore workers, lied to, or deal with people who dont know how to do their jobs.Artech response: Artech takes any kind of workplace harassment very seriously and has a well-defined and established escalation policy and process in place, which is also outlined in the Employee handbook (that you acknowledged receipt in Dec 2022). As per the process, Artech initiates and conducts a thorough investigation as soon as a complaint is filed. Appropriate disciplinary actions (up to and including termination) are taken based on the findings of such investigations. Artech also regularly conducts workplace harassment training to ensure a safe workplace that is free from discrimination, harassment and/or any other form of abuse.Following the above processes, an investigation was initiated when we received your BBB complaint. In the investigation, HR confirmed that there has been no verbal or written complaint from you regarding sexual harassment at any time during your stint at Artech. Your BBB complaint was the 1st time Artech heard about it. Unfortunately, in the absence of any further information and/or context, your allegation remains unsubstantiated. Unless further information is provided by you, we will not be able to proceed further with this investigation and/or take any appropriate action. The investigation also revealed details surrounding your exit from Artech. During your notice period, after HR accepted your resignation: i.You solicited a colleague, who is not authorized, to verify your Artech employment to an external agency.ii.You requested the said colleague to misrepresent themselves as an HR specialist, knowing fully well that they were not part of the HR department.iii.You made the said colleague provide false information about being laid off from Artech to your apartment leasing co./Landlord, while in fact you had resigned from the job.iv.This is clearly a fraud and misrepresentation of facts committed by you. v.Your actions were a clear violation of the code of conduct and led to your employment being terminated for a cause with immediate effect. vi. Coincidentally, your complaint seems to have been filed with BBB on the same day your employment was terminated for misconduct. Artech has furnished responses refuting all your allegations. Please reach out to Artech directly or via BBB if you have any questions or require any clarification. On 6/21, I sent a letter of complaint to their email regarding my concerns described below, which did not receive a response. In short, dealing with this company's unprofessional behavior and probable discrimination has been a significantly distressing experience and a waste of my time.On Friday, 6/16, an Artech recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn to discuss my interest in a UX Researcher position at Meta. I reviewed the job description and confirmed my interest in the role, as my experience and skills aligned well with its requirements. She then requested my most recent resume, which I spent several hours revising before sending it to her that same evening. On Wednesday, 6/21, I followed up to inquire about any updates. She informed me that her manager had suddenly indicated a preference for candidates with specific experience in wearable devices. Given that 1) this recruiter had access to my LinkedIn, which listed the same experience as my resume, and 2) I am experienced as a UX Researcher with hardware tech closely related to wearables not just for ******** (now Meta) but also for other FAANG companies, Artech's rationale for denying me consideration holds little substance. This recruiter should have reviewed my profile first before wasting my timeif her reasons for disqualifying me were truthful. In fact, their haphazard decision seems more likely to be a case of discrimination due to my disclosed autism. The situation is all the more aggravating with their ignoring of my letter of complaint, further demonstrating their lack of commitment to professionalism. This company needs to be thoroughly investigated and held accountable for the harm they have caused, as evidenced by the overwhelmingly negative reviews they have received.Artech Information Systems L.L.C.
Date: 06/29/2023
Hello ****************,Upon receiving your complaint via BBB, Artech conducted an internal investigation with the relevant team. Here are the details: The recruiter and her supervisor confirmed that:i.they reached out to you via LinkedIn messaging to discuss and check your interest for the Meta opportunity. ii.At that time, they also provided the job description to you and requested a copy of your latest and updated resume. iii. After reviewing your resume, they believed you may not suit this role as experience with wearable devices was essential for this role.iv.They conveyed this to you as well. Typically, recruiters prefer to review detailed resumes to gauge suitability for any opportunity since LinkedIn profiles may have only the chronological data of the different employers and the roles. By requesting a detailed resume, the recruiter was doing her due diligence to present the candidate with most of the skills required by the client. Both the recruiter and supervisor had no knowledge of your autism, since there was no mention of it in any of the messages exchanged between you and them. So, there is no evidence of any discrimination As the recruiter mentioned to you, though this role may not have been suitable for you, we can continue to look out for suitable opportunities for you with our other clients. Would you be interested, please let us know. FYI, Artech has over 90 Fortune 500 clients that include the ***** companies. This company contracted with me to work for *******. They harassed me with emails and phone calls wanting me to do the background check for them. When I say "harassed" I mean they called and emailed me ten times a day. They could not perform a simple background check in which every school was easily reachable. They sent me an email to confirm my start date two days prior. On the start day, they called and stated that ******* canceled the contract. Every email they sent me contradicted previous emails. They clearly are incompetent. I reached out to ******* and thanked them for preventing any further interactions with the company. They can't even use proper English or spelling in their emails. Hello ******************,We received your complaint and have looked further into the circumstances you have mentioned. Our investigations revealed the following: i.On 4/12/2023, you were offered a contract opportunity with Artechs client, contingent upon successfully completing a background check.ii.As per the clients rules of engagement, Artech initiated the background check immediately after you accepted the offer and consented to a background check (including but not limited to, an education check)iii. On 4/24/2023, Artechs Background check team reached out to you indicating they were unable to verify your education with any of the universities you had mentioned and requested you to provide copies of your degree certificates or proof of graduating.iv.Though you initially agreed to provide it, we did not receive anything from your end. v.When you could not provide any proof of your graduation, Artech reached out to the client to check if they would be willing to waive the education check. vi.Finally, after a week of going back & forth with you and the client, on 4/28, Artech received information that the client rescinded the offer due to the education check being incomplete. From the above, you can see that Artech did everything in its power to complete the background check. However, with you not providing any proof of graduation and the client refusing to waive the education check, there was nothing more we could do to help further your case. If you can provide proof of graduating, we can attempt to convince the client to reverse their decision since the role is still open and not yet been filled. Despite the above explanation, if you are still unhappy with the way Artech has dealt with the situation and do not want Artech to look for opportunities for you, then please let us know, so we can mark you unavailable indefinitely in our database. We wish you the very best! Thanks & Regards,***************************************** Associate Director - *************** Artech LLC

When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.
BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this business, please let the business know that you contacted BBB for a BBB Business Profile.
As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
