I entered into an agreement with debt consolidation firm Nov 22, 2023.
they asked me to ignore calls from creditors which I have done and my understanding is they would reach our to the creditors. They advised to even set up a google voice to avoid creditors which sounds sneaky to me. That they did not say is that they will take this long to reach out to my creditors is beyond reason and all the creditors say they do not have a power of attorney paperwork. It has come to a point where my creditors are calling non-stop to even my family next of in on the bank inform, and sounds threatening.
I have emailed the legal group and I have made calls but they don.t answer even wait times up to 2 hours. reading form other reviewed, this is their habit of not answering calls. I need to know what to do ASAP as it is driving me crazy.Initial Complaint

Company said it was going to consolidate my debt. They started taking payments from me. My credit tanked and now I looked online and saw that myself and a few others were scammed by that same company.Initial Complaint

I called them to resolve debts that were getting out of control. I gave them all of my debt information and they gave me an amount to pay to the monthly to resolve the debt. $1000 debited from my bank account for the past two years nothing has been resolved. I enrolled with this group for a debt reduction program. They promise in all signed documents to provide responsive customer ****************************** representation. I have been trying to reach ANYONE at this group for the last 3 weeks and the phone system says they are closed! They however deducted money from my bank account. I also authorized a settlement with them in December and just received further legal action taken against me due to a lack of their responsiveness and yet they deducted more funds this month! *** sent notice through their contact us page, emailed the attorney I was in contact with & called repeatedly with no response!Initial Complaint

They was supposed to take $722 a month to hold for my creditors but they have have ove 90% fee EVERY MONTH so they are basically taking money from the less fortunateInitial Complaint

This business is a SCAM! They reached out to me to offer a consolidation loan only to suggest debt consolidation program instead. I spoke to plenty of representatives where I asked questions. Asked about how the 20% commission would be paid and was given vague non-answers. Signed up for the program. Long story short they charge you 20% of your enrolled debt in service charges before they even contact your creditors. In addition to so many other fees. In 3 months if $800 monthly payments, $150 was put aside to pay my creditors. My husbands check was garnished while we were in the program. When I requested to be withdrawn from the program I was told I forfeited all the fees that was charged even though ZERO work had been done on my account. In 3 months. Of course it was in the 150 page agreement I signed when they sent a notary to my home, which I didnt have time to read on the spot. So I have no recourse in getting my money back. They prey on people struggling and charge so many fees there is nothing left to negotiate with.Initial Complaint

I joined Meadowbrooke as a paying member one year ago in the efforts of them representing me in debt resolution and debt complaints. 3 months ago, I qualified through Meadowbrooke, because of my impeccable monthly payment record, to an immediate loan through Versara, whom Meadowbrooke uses for their qualified customers to provide access to immediate cash for quick settlement purposes. In early May, I received a civil summons (law suit) from my local county from one of the debt collectors. The law suit paper work, which was mailed to me, was immediately scanned and emailed to Meadowbrooke, of which I received confirmation. I have now called Meadowbrooke 4 separate times to inquire about this law suit, which is scheduled for a court date of June 26 (THIS MONDAY)! Each time I called, I received the dame exact response; "Meadowbrooke is assigning the litigation to an attorney, who will be reaching out to you about this civil law suit on June 26. NOT A SINGLE ATTORNEY HAS YET TO REACH OUT TO ME in regards to this civil suit! Today, (Thursday, June 22), I called again. I received the same response as each time before. When I asked about what I need to do about the Tuesday court date of June 26, I was told that if I want to, I can file a response to the court. NO! This is what I am paying Meadowbrooke to do! REPRESENT ME, as I was told when I agreed to join Meadowbrooke as a paying customer! Again, the money is there (through my Versara loan acceptance) to pay the creditors off. Meadowbrook still has not reached out to me in any regard about the scheduled court date for Monday. June 26. This has been one horrific experience where I was lied too about being represented. I do not know what to do, with the court date scheduled for this Monday, June 26!In addition, I just received a second law suit from another creditor, so I am expecting the same type of mistreatment. Please help! Something must be done with this company who practices dishonesty and provided the most awful, poor representation to its customers.Business Response
