Original Rental Contract:April 24- May 3 (9 days)All in Rate (w/fees and taxes): *****/day Additional Days All in Rate: ***** Spoke w/agent at pickup (*****************):- I'll need to extend rental, not sure how long yet. And can I receive same rate on extension?- Her response: You can receive same rate. You extend via email with the agent.First Extension (Requested May 1 via email)May 3 - May 13 (10 days)My email to **** asked for extension from May 3 to May 13 and confirmation of same rate.Their email response: extension confirmed, no mention of rate, no updated contract. So I assumed same rate.Second Extension (Requested May 10)May 13 - May 15 (2 days)My email asked for extension from May 13-May 15 Their response: extension confirmed.Turned car in May 15, 5am. Was given instructions to drop keys in key box due to early drop off time. No one at desk to provide invoice. No stars. **************** wasn't paying attention at what I was trying to say. She was on the phone and talking with someone else while doing my reservation. Didn't listen to anything or let me show her my confirmation. I'm so disappointed. They charged me double what I agreed to. Being on fix income they screwed me. Never again will I use avis.

When i showed up to my destination they were busy so i just handed him the key. ******** I was planning on using avis for all personal and company trips but the sales guy didnt put the correct destination and when i returned the vehicle i wasnt checked in untill 3hrs later. I have pictures and videoes of my trip. I want to keep using avis but will only do so if they drop all the extra fees as a one time courtesy....if they dont i will dispute it with my credit card company.....i also declined all the extra services and products but i was also charged for those too. I called avis to explain my side and was told they will call back. But no one ever called back. Please help.

SCAMMERS AND WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE They ONLY get 2 stars bc they accept debit cards. I booked online and paid at the counter in the airport. I know rental companies are con artists, so I read everything carefully. When I got to the register, I explained I was driving to my final destination because my flight was delayed until after my reason for flying in the first place. I asked again if I would be charged any additional fees beyond what was listed on my receipt, besides damage or gas, if that was applicable. He told me I would only be charged the $250 holding fee, which was listed in the fine print, so I was fine with that. I drove the car to my destination and dropped it off within 12 hours of picking it ******* forward over 2 weeks, I'm waiting on my $250 holding fee to come back to me. I called to see what the holdup was. They told me they could only give me $40 back because I dropped the car off in a different city. This was nowhere on my receipt. When reserving the car, I listed where I would pick up and drop off, and this "fee" wasn't mentioned anywhere ONCE. I didn't have the money to spend on the car, I had to borrow it, and now I'm out even more. I hate this company and hope they reap what they've sown :)

If I could leave a zero star I would. They are corporate scammers!!!!! The waited until after I left to issue a damage report stating the truck smelled like smoke (Ive never smoked in my life!) It was excessive garbage (Two small clothing tags in the cup holder stains (there werent any) and excessive dirt. They charged me $450.00 the only thing excessive was the charges they charged for vacuuming the floor of the truck.

This should be zero stars but one star is the minimum. **************** agent at ********************** ************ was ***** and attempted to engage in a tit-for-tat after I expressed dissatisfaction when my vehicle was not ready for almost 30 minutes after it was supposed to be ready (by 12 noon). Prior to taking the vehicle, the customer service agent at the location (on ***************) told me there was a full tank of gas in the vehicle but I realized halfway into my trip that there was only half tank of gas and of course, I had to fill the tank or get penalized by Avis. This cost me an extra $25 - $30. When I told Avis that the document (which included a statement that the tank was 'full') they had me sign the day prior was FALSE, the customer service agent refused to take accountability for the issue. PLEASE AVOID USING AVIS WHITE PLAINS, THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL, ***** AND DO NOT DESERVE YOUR BUSINESS.

I rented a car from AVIS (pick up at *****************) through BOOKING Booking said the total was gonna be $888.89, when we picked up the car they charged me $1.600. This is ridiculous, and not to mention we waited for TWO HOURS to get out car due to only 2 employees were working there. I complained with Booking and no one seems to care about how both companies are scamming people, they say in booking they show an estimate and not final price. Well they dont clarify that anywhere. Horrible service. I wish I could get the extra money I paid back.

Very Deceptive Website. I looked to book a three week car rental in **** ******. First went to *****, booked then found a similar car for abut $500 less. So canceled *****, went to Avis. Web format very similar to Hertz. But the prices on Avis (unlike Hertz) don't include taxes and fees, and nowhere is this disclosed. Only once one gives credit card info and ready to click "accept" does the real price flash on the top right corner of the screen. About $1,000 more, so net an additional $500 over the Hertz price. Again, ***** properly disclosed price, Avis hid it as well as it could. Disgusting practice from such a company. Never will use Avis on account of that practice.
