      I made an online reservation for a Budget moving van for pickup on 7/16 @11:30am confirmation# *****XXXXXXXX at 6805 Ulmerton Road Largo FL 33771. This reservation required a credit card to be provided which made be confident that the van will be there. When I got to the location to pick it up, there is no van available. The counter person just said "oh we don't have a van available. The online service does that it books a vehicle that is not available. There is nothing I can do". This experience was terrible and not acceptable.

      This location is one hour drive from where I live so not only I wasted at least 2 hours of my time, wasted gas and toll, my plan and schedule were all messed up. Had to cancel appliances that I was supposed to pick up. The move for my daughter's college apartment started with this terrible customer service by Budget. Extremely ******!!!!!

      I would like customers to read this so they can be spare themselves from aggravation and stress. DO NOT rent from Budget. They are not accountable for online bookings. They don't even deserve a 1 star on this review.

      Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience you were caused regarding the lack of truck availability in the Largo, FL area on July 16, 2022, with Reservation Number #XXXXX-XXXX-XXXX.

      Budget Truck Rental ("BTR") takes seriously its commitment to have the truck or towing equipment available when and where the customer has reserved it. We very much appreciate your business and strive to give you the best service possible.

      We're sorry that we couldn't fulfill your reservation due to high demand and unanticipated low fleet levels for trucks within our entire Southern Central Florida Market. Limited options were available to us throughout that week.

      Your feedback is essential to us, and it will help us improve our service levels. Thank you for allowing us to address this matter for you. Every interaction and customer feedback matters to us. As a goodwill gesture and demonstration of our sincere apology, we would like to mail you a $50.00 check.       I reserved a moving van (Budget/****************, Flemington, NJ) week's in advance of moving to Tennessee. The day we were to pick up the van, which was 30 minutes away, we went there at 8:30am only to find nobody was there. After speaking to workers at the adjoining **********, they informed me **** is closed this week. I called the number directly to which no one answered. I then called Budget and was told to expect a call from the manager in 50 minutes to 2 hours. Went back home. No call. Went back to **** at 11:00 since our pickup instructions said 11:30am pickup, same thing. Called again and got the same exact answer, 50 minutes to 2 hours. I will NEVER rent from this place or Budget again and will not recommend to anyone relying on a moving vehicle from this company. What poor service and they really put people in a bind especially when moving. Extremely unreliable.

      Avoid this company if you can.

      I rented a truck from Budget to move halfway across the country. The gas cap on the truck said "Diesel Fuel Only." The movers helping me move said make sure to put diesel fuel in the truck. Due to this label I followed the directions on the truck and used diesel fuel.

      The truck is not supposed to have diesel fuel despite the labeling. The truck runs on gas. I called roadside assistance who told me to call customer service who told me they weren't sure which fuel to put in it and to drive it to the nearest Budget Shop. Unfortunately, the truck stopped working. I was stuck on the side of the road during a heat advisory for 6 hours. This led to me needing to get a hotel in the middle of Indiana. I spent 3 days stuck in the middle of the country despite talking to Budget and their roadside assistance over 20x without any reasonable update on the truck. Each call took 30min to an hour of holding before talking to someone. Sometimes I was left on hold for over 2 hours.

      Despite speaking with many different representatives no one at Budget customer service showed any empathy for the situation. Including when I was in a flash flood, in an area without Uber, Lyft, or Taxis service, at a hotel that was booked full and had lost all power. The response of the agent at that time was "a supervisor will call you in 1-2 days.

      On the 3rd day of waiting, I found out that the truck would not be fixed. Budget said that there was a different less obvious sign that said unleaded fuel so they weren't going to provide me with a new truck. Thus, the company abandoned me.

      Had to buy a ******* transfer everything I owned in 96 degree weather from the Budget to the ******* and drive 9 hours through the night to my destination. Funny thing was that the ****** empolyee said that they hear things like this often about Budget. Said that they are lazy and don't take pride in their merchandise. One of the worst experiences of my life.
