      I have been renting from Budget for over 10 years but I have to now say goodbye. I reserved the rental car at ****************** location in ********* to pickup on my lunch break on 3/14/2025 since it is so close to my work. However, I got a call from a representative a hour before my scheduled pickup. The representative said that they had sold out of the vehicle that I reserved which is ridiculous before I booked the vehicle days before my daughters bday trip to *******. The company completely shattered my plans for my daughters bday. To top it off the representative did not have any type of accountability for the actions and carried the attitude that I should just deal with them messing up my plans. Thank god for NextCar Rental because if it was not for them I would've wasted money on a hotel that was nonrefundable.

      Reservations are booked based on our expected availability, however when vehicles are returned back late or returned damaged it can cause us to not have the availability we had expected. In these cases we will try to find a vehicle from another location, if we are not able to we would have to refer you to rent with a competitor. In the event you did rent with a competitor and your rental costed more than your expected charges with us we are happy to review for your charges for possible reimbursement.

      At the return of the rental car the attendant stated that an e-receipt had been sent to my email address. I reviewed the receipt 2 days later after returning home. There was a fraudulent charge of $195 added to the billing for fuel service, even though the car was returned full of gas. After contacting customer support, I was told to provide the receipt for purchase of gas ( which I provided) and the charge will be refunded. I then left a bad review for Budget and was contacted by a supervisor who stated the $195 refund will be made. I still have not received the refund to my credit card. Beware of renting from Budget at the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport.

      I am trying to write a review for **** Car Rental for ******************* Airport but always end up in Budget Truck Rental. It is the same company anyways.Based on this experience - **** is the worst car rental company. The check-in in SFO airport took more than an hour. Instead of booked mid size SUV we were given Dodge Hornet which is compact car and the trunk is too small for four carry-on luggage pieces making it very uncomfortable for four travelling people. The car was heavily scratched when we took it nothing major but multiple scratches on the body all over the car and small chips on the windshield. There was no windshield fluid in the car and we learned it hard way we were forced to stop on the side of a freeway and clean the windshield with drinking water. The car had other multiple small problems, but the biggest surprise came AFTER we have returned the car. The lady in the Rental Car Return has inspected the car and said that everything was fine, no problems. Nevertheless, in the airport terminal we have received a Damage Capture Report. The Report claimed that we have damaged the car but did not give any meaningful description of the damage. Two attached pictures were meaningless - the first one shows nothing, and the second one shows some scratches, but it is not clear which part of the car the picture is showing, and even if this was the car we have rented. This is clearly fraudulent practice from **** accept the car and then claim that we damaged it AFTER we have left the car in ***** possession and were far away. This deceiving action from **** will probably cost us several thousand dollars including Insurance deductible and Insurance premium increase even though we have not added a single scratch to the preexisting damages. After that we certainly will NOT rent any cars from **** and I will do my best to make sure that more people know about bad service and fraudulent practices from **** and rent cars from more decent companies.

      They dont allow no stars, I have never in my lifetime,delt with a more,you know what they are absolutely awful i had a resevation that was payed for in advance and i waited ******************************************************************* 15 min i never got a call back from them not one i had to continue to csll them back and still got nowhere so at this point im going to a difrent place to rent!!!!!!

      I made a reservation 3 weeks in advance. Budget cancelled the reservation 5 days prior to move. In the two local locations, there were NO TRUCKS OF ANY SIZE available. The reason both locations gave was "It's holiday shipping season. The delivery companies (******, ***, *****) have all our trucks." Obviously corporate contracts win out over the individual at Budget. Will never think about using Budget again. Don't plan on your truck being available in the 4th quarter of the year. Please don't rent from them as they don't respect the individual with a confirmed reservation.

      AVOID this place like the plague.I rented a moving truck from here and they gave me truck that was not street worthy which resulted in being pulled over and ticketed for safety and equipment violations on the truck.10 tickets totaling over $2,000!       HORRIBLE STAY AWAY!!!! I reserved a moving truck 6 weeks in advance before my move date. ***** called me the day before pickup to verify my reservation and that the truck was at the location. I go to pick it up the next day, the people working had NO clue I was picking up a truck and they hade NONE that worked. 4 were sitting in the lot broken. All they did was look me in the face and say oops, sorry. Talk about UNPROFESSIONALISM. AINT NO OOPS IM SORRY!!! I reserved this SIX WEEKS in advance. Nobody helped. I called 5 different customer service lines, NOBODY CARED OR HELPED. They dont have any more trucks at any locations near me and said ooos sorry. I move tomorrow. No oops Im sorry. FIX IT?!? Tried calling so many corporate numbers to complain about my experience and every number I call theyre like sorry *** this is customer service and I cant transfer you to a manager cause I dont have one. So many INCOMPETENT employees at Budget Truck Rental. STAY AWAY YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED If you ever speak to someone named ***** at budget truck rental, RUN FAST!!! Hes one of the worst customer service employees I have ever spoken to.

      #1: On Oct. 23, 2024 I arrived to pick up my rental I was told there were no cars available (9pm). #2: I reserved this car almost NINE months ago. #3: The counter person said the government took all of their cars and the government comes first.??? #4: I was told to come back the next day at 8am. I had planned to be on the road by 6am. I ask the counter agent if he could guarantee me a car at 8am the next day, he responded "We're a car rental company aren't we". #4: I called customer service when I got home and they ask if I could go pick up a car less than a half mile away, I ask if they could deliver it to the airport location, I was told NO. #5: Before departing to pick up the car I found pout the location customer service was sending me to had been closed for over two hours. #6: **************** suggest I could go to four other locations to pick up a car. #7: None of these locations were within 10 miles of my location (if I wanted to pick up a car from one of these locations, I would have reserved them there??) #8: When I went to pick up the car the next morning one of the agents flipped me off, and yes, I have a picture of them doing so and sent it to Budget. #9: If cars were available at other locations that tells me the counter help lied to me. This wasn't an issue with cars being available it was an issue getting the cars transported to the airport location. I filed a complaint about the customer that flipped me off. I have more details to add to this incident and ask them to call me. They responded in an email and said the issue was addressed, gave me a $42 discount and said if I wanted to call them call their customer service number. I didn't want a discount I wanted to know why I didn't have a car after reserving it nine months ago and for the counter agents that cussed and flipped me off be addressed. This was totally uncalled for, and I think the counter agent response raciest, and I want others to know how Budget/**** treats their customers.

      I rented an economy car from Budget Rent A Car for just 2.5 days, expecting a reasonable price. However, to my shock, I was charged nearly $600, with most of the charges being completely unclear, excessive, and unjustified. Here are some of the mysterious fees that I dont even recognize or understand:11.11% Concession Recovery Fee: $48.30 C.R.F. Surcharge: $0.50/day, $1.50 Facility Charge: $7.73/day, $23.19 Transportation Fee: $4.55/day, $13.65 Vehicle License Recoup: $0.71/day, $2.13 Energy Recovery Fee: $0.60/day, $1.80 Late Fee: $20.00/day, $20.00 On top of that, optional services were added without my clear consent:Fuel Service: $94.81 Security Fee: $5.00/day, $15.00 Optional Services (Non-Taxable): $85.05 Loss Damage Waiver: ***** Accepted PAE 9.95 Accepted SLI ***** Accepted Extended Roadside **** 8.99/DY 53.94/WK I did not agree to most of these charges, and there was no clear explanation provided at the time of booking. This is absolutely unacceptable for a 2.5-day economy rental. I feel like Budget is taking advantage of its customers with hidden fees and unreasonable charges.I request a full refund for these unjustified charges and will never use Budget Rent A Car again. Renters beware!

      10/10 DO NOT RECOMEND!! I rented a 12' truck from them. The truck had to ve towed 3-4 times. First time was due to "loose transmission bolts" truck was smoking and Check engine light came on. They couldn't tow us to our destination due to the miles so they made us stay in a hotel. We were moving from **** az to **. After sending a tech in the morning and tighting the bolts said we were fine and trans fluid was fine. On our way we went 3 hours to remain. Truck ran terrible but I was told it was fine. 2 turns away from the top of the moutain the whole truck stalled l, started reving with my foot off the gas. I had to force it in park and turn it off. I was now stuck in the middle of a turn going up a moutain. I had to turn it back on and crawl it to the closest turn it it was smoking very heavily at this point I had to take out the fire extinguisher and run away from the truck hoping it wasn't about to catch on fire. It had to be towed again. And again. The company took more than 2 weeks to close the reservation. In this two weeks I was getting calls and texts asking where there truck is after I had explicitly spoke to many people in the company assuring they knew where their truck was and when it got their and more importantly that I DID NOT HAVE THE TRUCK. Got calls from their security team because they didn't know where their truck was as customer service gave them no information. I got calls from **** corporate looking for their truck. While the whole time it was at a repair facility. Do not use this company their are so many flaws it's just over all not safe. And they seem to careless about the well being of their customers and their ***********************. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE BY FAR!!. AND THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU A FULL REFUND EVEN THOUGH WE ALMOST DIED! THANK YOU BUDGET FOR NOTHING!
